  1. Thanks! I'm glad you like it Thanks! Now I'm thinking about doing a full interior rework on the Venator before I start the next ship in the fleet... Looks like I'll have a lot more room to work with!
  2. Been working on this for about six months on and off, but I think its finally time to show it off! This is in scale with the UCS Venator (two studs too long, but at this size it's close enough) and hopefully will just be the start of a series of ships in this scale In case you're wondering where I've been on YouTube, I've been hard at work designing this, although I plan on making instructions before I make the video on this Let me know what you think! And now the interior, which features the gun deck, bridge, and hangar, which is all connected via a hallway down the middle of the ship and an elevator all without compromising structural stability! And now all of the ships that are compatible with the hangar! The V-Wing and shuttle can both fit a full minifig inside!
  3. I would suggest substituting the clip and bar connections with technic pin connections on the joints that will be in tension (the ones on the outer edge of the ring) so that they can't pull apart, but otherwise, it looks solid! Excited to see the rest of the build!
  4. Thanks! While the tiger stipes down the sides of the cockpit are the more complex technique, the mouth and especially the eyes definitely had the most prototyping!
  5. Thanks! Yeah, I had to get a bit creative to replace parts in colors that don't exist, like those ball and sockets for the nose guns I'm glad you like it! I'm super happy with how the high bank angle stand really gives it a sense of motion
  6. Finally got around to making a Muunilist 10 LAAT! I chose sand blue for the stripes as it is the closest to the original cartoon (dark blue matches the hasbro version however). Medium blue looks closer on Bricklink's color guide, but looking at it in person, I think sand blue is the better choice. This really limited what parts I could use, but I am very happy with how it looks. It is mostly my previous live action gunship design with heavily modified cockpit and wing areas Enjoy :) And with bubble turrets
  7. Yeah, I've been mostly unscathed, but I'll add mine. Aside from store return theft, Kylo Ren's 2019 shuttle came with rubber bands inside the mini cardboard box rather than the capes, and Rivendell had a color swapped 1x2 plate. All that is besides the general decrease in quality especially when it comes to tiles...
  8. There are a lot of LOTR things I am willing to spend $400+ on, in fact I have both Barad Dur and Rivendell! But the Shire is not one of them. Should have been in the $200 range, especially because any of the figs I would care about will be repeats One less reason for me to get it, I despise those movies
  9. Hang on is the Plo Starfighter still coming? He in the quote refers to Childish Landino, but I can't find the source for it
  10. The big challenge with that isn't fitting a room in there, it is making it accessible while still retaining strength. I'm sure it is possible, but I don't think it will be in the stock set. It'll probably be slightly smaller with more pieces, but the windscreen mold from the 2015 one theoretically still exists, last used in 2019. So I would expect it to use that same piece
  11. Completely agree, the plaque should have been "Khetanna". Although EV-9D9 does call it "The Master's Sail Barge" in ROTJ
  12. Jango's Slave 1 is exactly what I was hoping for in one of my posts earlier in this thread; a Milano-esque minifig compatible spaceship with a complex and interesting build. I cannot wait to build it! The base of the OG UCS Slave 1 could use a lot of improvement that new parts would be perfect for They probably will go with the sand blue again for Jango's bodysuit (IMO its more inaccurate for Jango than it is for ROTJ Boba), but they did retire the more accurate colors in the purge of 2004. One could make an argument that dark purple is the closest in production color though... As for the name, for all I care Lego could print "Blue Boba Fett's Space Car" on the box, but the UCS data plate is much more important to me. "Slave 1" or if they really need it "Firespray-31 Patrol and Attack Craft" would both be fine, but "Jango Fett's Starship" would be very disappointing
  13. Did somebody say we're so back? I have never been so happy to eat my own words
  14. I think Osgiliath would make a fantastic spiritual successor to 9471 to pair with a large scale Minas Tirith as a battle pack of sorts that still stands on its own. It could be a small section of ruins with an orc catapult or something, I would prefer it to be on the cheaper side to make army building possible. Agreed that the Fell Beast needs a remake though, the GWP wings aren't held on very well and at least the head absolutely needs to be a specialized part.
  15. They will all (presumably) have identical legs, bodies, heads, and the same ROTS clone pilot helmet mold, the helmet will just have different prints. Oddball has a yellow symbol on the forehead, Jag has a lot of blue markings and was featured in the 2010 ARC-170, the last one will be one of a couple designs of unnamed pilot
  16. But will the cost to source the bricks be less than whatever discount this gets down the road? Correct me if I'm wrong, but D2Cs rarely go on sale until right before retirement
  17. Updated the news tab wow, that wave is supremely uninteresting. But a U wing / Tie Reaper for $80? 2025 Lego? you will get a minfigless diorama and you will like it!
  18. Keep in mind that there is no such thing as perfect minifig scale. At 77cm for a 30m long in universe ship this puts the set at ~1/38, firmly in the minifig scale range. For reference, the UCS AT-AT is about 1/36
  19. That date comes from Brick Reporter, right? The guy known for being unreliable? He's just going off of the two week line, which is probably close, but I highly doubt he has any more information than any of us
  20. Patience, I'm sure the price of Cal will go down, he hasn't even had an official listing on Bricklink yet! There will absolutely be a better sale before retirement, even 2x VIP points will get you essentially the same discount. I do have the Star Destroyer, nothing about it is particularly groundbreaking, but it looks nice and is extremely well put together. I mostly use it like a display model so if you like what you see you will enjoy it
  21. You're right that it is less expensive for Lego, but it doesn't feel like those savings are being passed on to the consumers. The Millennium Falcon has all printed parts, which counts for something, but look at the Tantive IV and the Helicarrier...
  22. https://brickset.com/sets/7671-1/AT-AP-Walker
  23. Ah, Jack Stone stuff! That part appeared in only three sets, https://brickset.com/sets/4604-1/Police-Copter https://brickset.com/sets/9305-1/Rescue-Transportation-Set https://brickset.com/sets/4618-1/Twin-Rotor-Cargo
  24. Looking up the more unique parts on Bricklink helps narrow it down a lot
  25. I have all these figs and I agree with your first point, Fox is irredeemably bad in so many ways. But Yularen's belt buckle I personally don't care too much about. I've come to peace with the printed kama Rex just because the investor reaction to the identical microfighter Rex (who obviously can't have a cloth kama) was pretty funny Yeah, I came to that realization too after I posted. The only ships that are even close are the Lamba Shuttle and the other [Greek Letter] Shuttles, but I don't want to wishlist too hard
