  1. Would Lego design two molds of the same species at the same time?
  2. I wish a more fitting name would have been chosen back in the day... I never liked 'Steve'. Not the name per se of course, but the Lego pirate. Looks good Which torso is that?
  3. But that's.... good Though all these BDP renders look lifeless, lack the Lego charm and often the background is not doing the moc any favor. Rendering good pictures is a hobby on its own i guess.
  4. I am sorry for this heretic question, but the name Steve (sounds not very pirate-ish) was a joke at first that became part of the Lego folklore and Pirates legacy over time?
  5. Very nice moc! The round shape is well done. I also like the artifacts and holo table. But the story! The story has me hooked as well Can't wait to learn how it continues!
  6. Thank you! Thanks a lot! I like the pot hole too and while the rest of the moc has been teared down already the pot hole will be preserved for the use in the next moc
  7. Officer Solo, Dark Leia, Inquisitor Ahsoka! White Vader, Rebel Thrawn! So good! Very nice minifigs Also nice little build and editing
  8. Many nice entries! It's great to see so many pirate port towns Tortuga, Coconut Cape and Frigate Fortuna are amongst my favorites but my absolute favorite is the Old Skull Restaurant. That modular building looks like something i really would love to build with bricks
  9. Yes, this staggered reveal and release schedule is very annoying

  11. Yep I am pretty confident that we will see this minifig in a magazine later this year or next year!
  12. If they really fear the set gets devalued when Rex shows up in an other (cheap) set, they could have waited a year or two before making the decision whether or not they want to buy the Venator. Instead they had to buy it on day one. It's TLG and everything is always possible.
  13. Eureka! Ghost microfighter + Hera would actually be something I'd expect too. We'll see
  14. To me it looks like a special issue. The next standard issue (with the imperial shuttle minibuild) will be released in 2 weeks in Germany. I am keen to see what they'll advertise on the last page.
  15. Nice little scene with all the characters and the brickbuild hounds! I like your Luuke and Mara minifigs! Is that Hermione's face you use for Mara? The last shot with all the figs is great
  16. I don't plan to buy the set, so I too hope the kraken knight (If Lego releases it in the first place) will show up at PAB. Release the kraken knight! After showing us the shield, there is no way back for Lego
  17. It looks to be a 25 years of LSW special issue and not a regular magazine issue? Vader has arm printing on the picture.
  18. Do not forget the chocolate! I didn't knew such a piece even existed!
  19. Very interesting ideas! As a seafaring faction or a faction that lives by the sea, i guess trading would be a something the Kraken Knights would do. But they could also be raiders! I do not picture them as shiny tournament knights. More like rough raider-traders Look at the kraken helmet (by dahube84 on deviant art):
  20. So while i was waiting in the line i had time to count 15! of the Lego Star Wars Magazines with the 501st Specialist at my local supermarket. I wonder if they have sold a single copy. The price increase is doing the magazines no favor... The next gift will be a minibuild, i hope Sabine comes after that.
  21. Guess i must be dumb because did not get the memo I enjoy Star Wars and look forward to the new shows and movies and i can enjoy any of the old movies when they are on TV. Oh and SOLO is my favorite and i like Rey. I can enjoy a YT video of Kyle reading a SW comic or a LSW enthusiast unboxing a set, visting a park or talking about their collection. And as an adult i can choose to not watch videos of people who think that Kathleen is destroying the world And i think that this year was good year for Lego Star Wars and there are quite some good sets. And we will get good sets in the years to come. Of course not every set is for everyone, but i am optimistic And there are so many talented people building LSW mocs i can enjoy at YT, flickr, forums etc. Just my two cents
  22. Wonderful! Lagoon Lock-Up will always be my favorite set. And your moc is
  23. The BDP is not my cup of tea. I want to go into a shop and buy what i need
  24. He means the google form ' Mysteries Character Creator '. Like the Professor said, you can host your pictures on any site that allows to upload pictures, like the site that was mentioned above or imgur, flickr, etc.
  25. Since this is a wishlist thread... For a Kraken Knights theme i would wish big medieval port with a warehouse, tavern, a fisherman's hut, docks and a small trading ship medieval cog (or maybe even a ship like a carrack?) a guarded lighthouse Kraken Island with a wrecked ship and a a brick build kraken (and smaller molded ones) And i wish we would get small sets like a knight, a horse and a weapons rack a cart, an ox and a civilian a tree, a road sign and a bandit a fisher, the molded rowing boat, a net and some fish, crabs and clams
