[OFFICIAL] BrickLink Designer Program Series 6
Yperio_Bricks replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
The 5 winners have been announced! Sadly, no pirate set is amongst them: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-6/main.page I like the art factory though. It's something I always wanted to get as a modular building set. -
We have some nice details here that i like very much - the trees built with minifigure hands and droid arms, the frosty river, the roots and dark green plant and Alrik, preparing his food on the fire. And of course the cute squirrel that is doing its work with the nut! Great job all around

This is so cool All the details, the speeder, Luke using the force on the troopers, the lightsaber fights, the brief Palpatine reminiscence and of course Lando! Nien Nunb's torso suits him well! The Jedi arc is comming to an end? It feels it just has started! I wouldn't mind if you continue this story (with Iya turning into the main protagonist if you don't want to overuse Luke).

Why I'm giving away (most) of my Lego
Yperio_Bricks replied to Lego Mike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Props for building these great mocs and sharing the instructions for free. A classy act! I am sure you make many people happy! -
Maybe i will do it, maybe not... I didn't know this piece already existed in red and blond colors. Maybe interesting for the recoats. Probably only easy to dye earth tones for the plebs. But it would not have been impossible to dye it red or blue.

I don't know where the cut-off date was officially announced. Maybe it was via LAN like @Roebuck suggested, or they did ask Lego directly as they have very good connections. I just wanted to post it, so people can have a last chance to buy the imperial minifigs before they retire.
-
The cut-off date has been released and it will be December 3rd. If you want to order Imperial Soldiers or the big flag on PAB, you should do it now.

After a brief research i found that the Monmouth cap was used by sailors and soldiers from the 15th century on and it looks like a beanie enough for me to settle the case and use the Lego piece (yes, i edited one of the existing smilies into a Monmouth cap wearing sailor to celebrate the cap. To bad the png upload does not work and there is a ugly white background.)

Matt Hooper's hair & hat combo is up at PAB online. Surprisingly the price is great with just 50c for a dual molded piece. Would the piece work for a historic sailor? The ID is 6504271.

A new headpiece still could be rubber though. Mayby they don't want to have two sharp spikes of plastic sticking out the head? Or they fear they could break off easily? Either way, I guess that's why the Quarren head also is made of rubber. -
Help with identifying parts/sets!
Yperio_Bricks replied to WhiteFang's topic in General LEGO Discussion
To me it looks like the same Lego color, just with the usual deviation within one color that creates different shades. -
[T10 - M] - Grafitti Alley
Yperio_Bricks replied to SevenSevenSeven's topic in Mysteries: A Star Wars Role-Playing Game
The pictures show again! Very nice texturing on the walls! I also like the splashes of color and grafitti. The pose of the stormtrooper that got hit looks great. And the Mandalorian is observing the scene The water that breaks through the black base also looks great! Maybe the green plate below the water could have been blue, but that is a minor nitpick. Great job all around! -
Wow, interesting to see the whole range of scores!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 27. Rumors and discussion
Yperio_Bricks replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
If you analyse the colors of all sweaters Lego has made, you will find the colors of many countries, parties, organizations, corporations, sports clubs, social movements, etc. It is almost impossible to create a color combination that is NOT used by some of the aformentioned groups throughout the history of mankind. -

Maybe some ren fair visitor? The hair can be changed, but I was unsure about the legs. Now that you also identify the legs as mid sized legs, i question why they decided to use them?! -
