  1. I think we all mostly assumed Ms Sunday, Mr. 5, and Ms Valentine would be excluded, but it seems more like Ms. Sunday is the main antagonist, so hopefully a fig is included! We ate good with figs in the last wave, so while I know we are going to have to get the straw hats again, I hope these sets are fig-heavy!
  2. 2026 would be a great year for an Asgard d2c, if you've been following the Doomsday hype train T&N said no modular, not no D2C, right? ;)
  3. I think this is a pretty tight list, but I can't imagine Smoker and his bike won't be in the Loguetown build. I really hope they do Alvida but I'd expect probably Luffy/Smoker/Zoro honestly. I think you're right about Whiskey Peak, and I hope they do move Mr. 5 and ms Monday elsewhere. It would be cool if they went back and did a wave with Morgan, Alvida, and Kuro, maybe even Krieg. Are you thinking a Laboon build? Definitely that set will have Miss Wednesday but I'm not sure about any of the others. Mr. 9 and Crocus would be great because we'll never see them again otherwise. I kind of doubt we'll see Hireluk, and honestly I think it would be cooler if they did figs for the various Chopper forms instead. Without knowing what will happen in S2 that wasn't from the manga/anime, I think the only ships we really see are Hina's. I don't recall Smoker's ship at all honestly, and since the Garp actor said his role is limited in S2, I kind of hope Koby and Helmeppo move under Smoker. It would be cool to get Garp's ship with the dog figurehead instead of a generic marine ship though, so long as there are a handful of npc marines.
  4. If we're looking at recent tentpole MCU tie ins, we'd at best get BND-agnostic sets in May and then maybe real ones in November or January of '27. The same is probably true for Doomsday; it'll probably be '27 or later when we finally get "Multiverse Saga" theme sets that call back to Doomsday, but maybe not until after Secret Wars.
  5. This was a fun read, haha. I'll raise you: -Killed a[several?] floor full of people in Lagos with Crossbones' bomb, though unintentionally -Refused to deescalate the avengers civil war by remaining with Vision It seems like the only real unbelievable jump for her character is the point when she joins the avengers. The "you step out there" speech from Hawkeye was cool, but after the conflict there really isn't any kind of atonement shown, or any kind of interview process for 'Cap's Avengers.' I think the 'lack of morals' you mentioned is a little heavy handed, but to your point giving Tony the vision wasn't something she had to do, she seemed to be doing it for the joy of getting back at him.
  6. I'm betting a Baxter building modular is a lock, especially being in Doomsday in some capacity. The fact that the Galactus set will still be on shelves helps a lot, I think, but I'd also bet on some duplicate figs (maybe a flame Johnny or shirtless Ben?). Being a comics version or MCU version I think is irrelevant now because the comics over time, adjust to incorporate MCU designs. There isn't a definitive Baxter building design prior to the movie, much like the Avengers tower, so personally I welcome canonizing the First Steps version across media. It'd be nice to get comic designed figs, but I'd probably expect those to show up in smaller sets and mechs like everything else. The Spiderman brickverse stuff is kind of an anomoly because they seem to be throwing whatever designs they want into sets just to make them more exclusive. Just throwing my vote in again but I'd really like to see an Asgard d2c with the Thor characters that have never been made!
  7. That was my plan too since her fig came with the huge hairpiece. I'm thinking also itd be a great Killmonger hairpiece.
  8. This. Not much I can use myself but the alt hair for Prowler Miles is a black hairpiece we've needed for a LONG time
  9. I was able to find all of the figs myself except for Spiderpunk and India. Ive been hearing everybody expects 2099 to be the chase, but in my experience its those two that everybody is grabbing. Is anybody seeing different? Ngl it kills me that Target puts all their figs at checkout now. Every Walmart had their entire stock wiped out by one person, but I was able to find some at B&N.
  10. New pokemon will always get less and less attention because they occupy less and less of the space/importance in the IP. Even if GF came up with a new Pikachu-level mascot, it'll never touch Gen 1 popularity because there are 1000+ others at the time of creation. Nintendo wont do a Gen 1-only license though, they have new products/games to sell and packaging new with old is how they succeed. The Zelda D2C is the perfect example of that- why alienate either new or old players of the games? (I say this but I skipped the set due to price, as I will also do with the pokemon d2c) Us Gen 1 oldies have to realize even though Gen 1 is sacred, the VAST majority of pokemon fans know those pokemon from newer games, Pokémon Go, the TCG, etc... Anyway, I cant imagine what the big set is. I would've said its a buildable pokemon but $600 is insanely expensive. My biggest fear is that lego and Nintendo cooked up some horrible new gimmick like the Mario play sets.
  11. I think lego is coming around to the idea that a huge part of their current rennaissance is due to minifigs being an IP-crossing toy system. Funko seems to be learning this too with their bitty pops and playsets. Nintendo allowing Animal Crossing and Zelda minifigs seems to indicate the entire toy industry is acknowledging minifigs as a popular toy even without bricks
  12. Let's do it! I'm going to have to bricklink a few and that sounds like way more fun!
  13. I really hope they do a ship each wave, but given the source material I don't think there's really any great ships unless there's something that wasn't in the manga. I know Garp is in the next season but given the teaser it looks like he might have a minimal role. Maybe Smoker's ship would be a good replacement? I'd love to get some generic marines as well. If we get anything close to this years wave, I think we can guarantee there'll be a Drum Castle. Laboon is also a shoe-in. It seems like this has been a massively popular wave so I really hope it means they go back and do things like Kuro/Kaya's mansion, Alvida, Morgan, or even Krieg.
  14. Right, but since S2 is early next year it could very well just be that.
  15. I'm very excited that the OP sets seem to be a smash hit even before release today. Maybe there's a real shot at another wave even without a S2 release?
  16. I agree, sadly. I'd put my money on the sets being spoiler free, or at least only containing trailer spoilers. I'd guess a set with some Xmen and Avengers, probably with some generic plate-terrain; a set with some New Avengerz and F4, and maybe another 1-2 with characters missing from the others... of course lots of repeats to make sure you're buying the whole wave and I'd assume Doom is in 1-2 of them. If we're lucky, it'll come with a D2C Baxter building since Feige has openly stated it's a staple set piece of the movie. All I want is a molded Herbie like the BD droids from Star Wars. Maybe we'll all be dead wrong and this'll be the best superheroes wave since Infinity War (or better)?
  17. Love that they have second heads but honestly its a big miss for me. About half of the cmf dont have anything new but prints, which we knew would be the case since it was leaked, but I really look forward to unique pieces in the cmfs. As someone who didnt have a 2099, I'm not super jazzed about these versions having super artistic looking prints- there's orange all over 2099, a whitish blue all over Miles, etc... I have no use for things like a cowboy spiderman or cat or horse, but happy for the folks that are big fans of the movie and wanted these. I know its from Across the Spiderverse but I would have much rather had Ham, or Noir, or Peni, or even the Jessica Drew from AtSV. Cyborg looks cool, but I particularly disappointed with Gwen, Miles, and Peter
  18. FF:FS was great. I'd love to see another set, maybe Giganto or something. We have 1.5 years until Doomsday after all.
  19. Where can I read the designer talking about that? I remember the AMA but don't recall anything about maturity rating affecting the minifigure selection
  20. We know by now that thats pretty subjective- I wont retreat the same argument thats been done a thousand times but Punisher, Echo, etc... already exist, so we know there's not a hard line- DD is a popular character and not even one thats intrinsically violent
  21. I really hope there's enough opportunity for lego with 2 years of D+ MCU content to make a wave 3 of the cmf. Daredevil will have enough superheroes for half of the wave itself but itd be great to get things like Wonderman and Hood if they'll remain in their shows for now
  22. Sure looks like even with this filler Spidey stuff that Lego is finally acknowledging they know what Superheroes fans want... action figures. Ghost Rider and bike is definitely minifig scale and coupling it with the "Brickverse" stuff it sure seems like they're taking feedback. Probably shouldn't get my hopes up though.
  23. Jeff from Spidey is basically his comic design, not that the Rivals design is much different.
  24. It does make me sad that HP seems to get several new moulds per wave and Superheroes doesn't. The Thing head is cool but it's really time they figured out a midi-fig. Even something like Baymax would've worked. Its ironic because Lego avoids bigfigs like the plague presumably because of cost, and if they did something in the middle, they could remake the million Thanos sets they love to sell, new Hulks, Thing, Kingpin, etc...
