The Crazy Castle: Humorous Triple Vignette
TheFrisian replied to SirNadroj's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
These are really nice Nadroj! *sweet* I like the detailing, such as the spilled wine on the floor. And an undead skeleton rising from its coffin never fails to scare an unsuspecting victim *skull* -
WOW, that's impressive! I really like the blend of Bionicle & Brick and the fact you stuck to one specific colorscheme. And the name is a really nice touch as well! :-D

Actually, the red Vader helmets are the one thing I'm less fond of. Other than that, I think this is once again a superb creation, I really like how you've successfully combined Asian with European castle architecture. And the amount of detailing you put in the surroundings really complement the scene, although that hardly comes as a surprise in light of your previous MOCs. A big thumbs up from me! *y*

I'd say that TLC is on the right track, but not quite there yet. They seriously need to work on issues like quality and distribution (I for one am definitely not happy the Dwarfs Mining special hasn't been released in Europe yet). As for themes and set design I've seen a major improvement in the last year, just look at the new City sets and the new Castle line. If TLC keeps improving like this, I'm sure we're at the start of a new golden age for LEGO.

Nice layout! *y* I noticed some interesting architecture, and your dragons never fail to impress. Also, I really like the trees, especially the ones with the white leaves (didn't know that part existed in other colors as well).

Hmm, must have overlooked that particular reply. Speculation is one thing, but having it confirmed by a LEGO rep makes the possibility that we in Europe don't get the early release of Dwarfs mining suddenly a lot more real. Man, that really s*cks!!! |-/ I so wanted that set for Christmas!
-
Which leaves me with serious doubts about the brain capacity of the person above me :-P
-
Noooooooo!!! Are you serious, do they really expect us to wait till April? That is SO unfair!!! :'-(
-
I agree, the French Fusilier looks really great with those boots! *wub* I'm not sure I like the design as much on the other figs though.
-
Wait till you fall in love with a nice girl, I'll bet your priorities will instantly change to: girl > health > food > LEGO :-D
-
That looks really sweet *wub* I'm impressed by the original and unorthodox use of LEGO pieces *y*
-
Serious? When it comes to Skellies, white is really the only color for me, never took a liking to the black ones. Wanna trade for some white Skellies when I get the chess set? ;-)

Perhaps something to take into consideration as well, is that not every contest is theme specific. Take the Hinckley vs. Sinner Smackdown for instance, in which the contestants used parts from sets from four different themes. In light of that, a seperate contest forum may nog be such a bad idea after all.

Welcome to Eurobricks RebelRock, nice to see you decided to join us! I'm very impressed by the level of skil, detail and imagination you put in your creations and I'd love to see lots more in the future! *y*

So recognizable... I don't have a lot of financial resources either, and after paying my bills and buying food and other necessities, there's just not much left to buy LEGO with. Not to mention that I have a girlfriend too that wants to have some fun every now and then. But I try very hard to save up some money, so I can pick up some nice sets around Christmas. *sweet*
-
In my opinion you should sort your LEGO anyway, it always comes in handy when you're looking for specific pieces. As for the question wether you should make sets or MOCs out of them, I think you first need to decide which sets you value enough to put on display.

I think ImperialShadows describes it very well here. I'm not claiming every post I made is a valuable contribution, I'm sure I've posted lots of dodgy replies. But considering what effect a reply might have on a discussion or on other members sure makes a whole lot of difference. Me neither! I know it's silly, but I just don't want people to think I posted something really stupid that needed editing. Sometimes I wish I could edit without it showing in the post though, just to correct the odd typo now and then. I know, I'm weird. *wacko*

Another great interview! It gets a bit dodgy at the end, but hey, that's half the fun of it :-D Keep interviewing guys, it's really fun to read! *y*

This is just hilarious!!! :-D One thing I learned about EB members, they've got loads of humor!!! ;-)

Ok, just thought it was a bit odd that only a few forums were affected. As I said before it's a silly question, you may delete this topic if you like. :-$
-
WOW, that is HUGE!!! And from what I can see, quite accurate to the real thing *y*
-
I know it's a stupid question, but why do the forums Theater, Space & Mecha and Theme Months Archive have different styled icons compared to the other forums? Shouldn't this be corrected? 8-|

Then I guess it refers to the latter of the two options I mentioned. Like MOC refers to a self made creation, MOD refers to a modification of an existing model.
-
As far as I know and depending on where you saw it mentioned, it could mean either a moderator for a bionicle (sub)forum, or a modification of a bionicle set.
