Have bought receiver unit and rc controller from race buggy From 8366 at bricklink. Seller tells that everything is OK. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=5282 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=6272c01 While testing found a problem: controlling at distance more than 1,5 meters is with lags. Car twitches. It is like receiver receive signal with gaps or breaks. I have all antennas, it doesnt matter 1 or 2 buggy motors connected to receiver, and no matter loaded them or not. Receiver is powered with fully charged rechargeable accus. Controller is powered with new 9v battery Pleomax (not alkaline). Dont know what is the problem: accus with 7,2v or bad non-alkalline battery at controller, or may be problem with receiver or controller? Can I repair them? At 1 meter distance all works fine: Both buggy motors and steering motor works fine and powerful. HELP!

9398 Mini motorized crawler
rm8 replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I own this tires from 1994year 8858 set. They are much heavier than 68.8 tires from 8081 (modern analog of that old baloons) so it is better to use new baloons of this size or change gear reduction if younwant old one. -
Getting started in trial trucks
rm8 replied to subcaptian's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You are in time: lego presented us new set 9398 - this is set includes Remote controlled crawler with all electrics (new motors, including servo) for building trial trucks. Of course one set is not enough to build with all you fantasy, so it is bEtter to buy two or more big flagman's sets like 9398, 8110, 8043, 8258. This give you many beams and gears not to think "how many gears left in my box?!" When I came out of my DA I bought first 8043 because of full rc electrics set and 8070 because of big wheels (good for supercars) and full set of suspension. Of course both this sets contain many beams, axles, pins, connectors and gears. After that I began to buy spare parts: like additional gears, diffs, wheels of different size, electrics (like xlmotor and train remote conroller)...because I understood what I need and how to build. Of course I continued to buy new big sets (because of big pieces count and low price per piece) like 8110, 9398. So if you can buy two big sets or more - do it. If you dont want to spent much money for the first time - buy new 9398. -

9395 MOD: 4x4 red wagon
rm8 replied to rm8's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
My little boy prefer to play "hand of God" mode, not remote control Sorry, Do not understand your question about differential and solid axle... 1) civil version of 9395 has two diffs at front and rear axles. Both axles are solid. Rear diff is LSD using rubber cheat- it really helps 2) crawler version has no diffs, but both axles are also solid. To Dluders and BasOne: 3rd party tires are from kids RC toy. Rubber is so-so, but protector is much better than lego's tire. Thank you Added 2 videos to first message (look up) Crawler http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bh_EyHbqSdM&feature=youtube_gdata_player -
THE EVOLUTION OF 9395 9395 is very good set for modding: optimal size for integrating PF-not too heavy+ nice old "skul" design, 1.First stage was to make it wagon and destroy towing functions. 2. Stage: making suspension 3.PF-ing model Finding optimal chassis, suspension and drivetrain: ] More photos[/url Here i am improved the exterier look One day he told "father, I wamt to be a crawler, it is very popular now!:)" We designed new solid axles with portal hubs, made RC winch and LEDs on the roof. Any customer can have a car painted in any colour he wants so long as it is black. Henry Ford. Fully black is the best color combination. We have everything for that : wheels, panels an other details in black, may be except some axles used as bars and steering . -

May be train remote helps you at climbing. Driving with standart remote makes crawler too nervous. -
Yeah, my wife's father drives 4runner 2000' shipped from US and new prado 150 from dealer. First uses for "dirty" driving, second for long distance trips:) but loves 4runner more than new prado. He Wanted to buy new 4runner from US but I adviced him new prado with garanty from dealer.... He likes 4runner's 5-th door that opens up (at prado to right side as usual door) and can be used in rainy wheather as umbrella:))) We have lexus gx and prado at our market. It is shame that toyota do not sell 4runner at Russia Video is old, I need some time to make video showing all details and possibilities of moc.... Thank you, but I dream of studless prado, like your models:)

Why not 8081 - it would be a real monster truck. You also can try to mount 9395, cabin from 8110, or 8043 (iam serious) on chassis As for new colors : black, yellow, orange, white and blue with red chassis looks like rainbow. Gay's crawler You,ve better be careful with colouring 9398 , it was born to be brutal and climb any obstacle -
