  1. Yes, but if I "shoehorn" all electrics there, i have to name it Jennifer Lopez it will not drift because of heavy back....my configuration is weight balanced but not freespace effective
  2. New bodywork - new model, not 8081mod:) Have a new outdoor video Q
  3. Model of small sportcar on universal chassis with RWD/AWD. Goal was to make universal lightweight car with most powerful performance for home fun. Remote controlled Propulsion - RC buggy motor Steering- M motor with rubber auto centering Powered by rechargeable Lego LiPo battery for weight saving Uses V2 IR receiver for better buggy motor performance For information: Full weight with driver - 519 g. (Track tires) Electrics - 192 g. Car without electrics and driver (chassis) - 316 g. Car without electrics driver and wheels - 254 g. Driver - 14 g. Empty chassis There is no suspension - there is no need in it here:) Motor is situated at the back, and uses fast output directly to rear differential (20:28). Front wheels powered directly from rear differential. There is no diff between axles. Car shows better dynamic performance with RWD, but using V2 receiver makes difference between RWD and AWD very small. Using v2 receiver makes buggy motor more effective: 1. Motor accelerates car better even with awd in comparision with old receiver, that looks slower, especially with AWD. 2. V2 drives model through obstacels much better that v1 and also uphill. 3.new receiver makes possible to drift with more softer and wider tires. Old can drift only with old modelteam tires that hard in comparision with new 14x43, 20x43, 20x56 tires. Model uses different tires from 43 to 56 size. Model is very fast for its scale. Low weight makes possible to play safely indoor. Car is with steering at right side, as JDM (japan, thanks for drift) cars: light and powerful. All wheel drive Rear wheel drive Different wheels Left for drift (on car), middle for track, right for rally ( bigger ground clearance and faster speed) Drift needs different tires: rear - model team, front - new 14x43 - more grippy for better control at slides Big wheels for fast speed and better ground clearance Arches are big enough for different wheels Drift careful Indoor RWD with track and drift tires Outdoor AWD with big 56 rally tires http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6skDCVM3LvM Outdoor AWD and RWD with different offroad tires. 4. Hey Effe, My son will be glad to see something like this http://fwallpapers.com/files/images/tow-mater.jpg
  5. I think there are too many power losses: 1) knobs generate too many friction 2) model is too heavy and tires are grippy - central differential is very pleased With 4 L motors it have to go much faster than in video... Try
  6. Cool! How many buggy motors and rc units at your cart?
  7. Those cups..?! What kind of competition did you win?
  8. You mean second drives the rear axle?
  9. Oh no! You did it. I am waiting for second RC unit now, but now I have to make something with 4 RC units and 8 buggy motors to beat you Interesting idea with doubled differentials at axles Good work, Sariel!
  10. It is 99% standart body! Isuzu was posted as analog to this kind of car - 2 door offroader...
  11. 8081M 4WD L RC. Deep 8081 set modification. Was inspired by Thirdwigg and his awesome modification with real 4wd and live suspension. Front suspension is my own.] 8081M 4WD L RC M - mod 4WD - four wheel drive L - long base RC - power function remote controlled The real model closer to moc is Isuzu Vehicross. Short about original 8081 set: Good base for building rc car. Need a little number of additional specific details to make it rear wheel drive RC. For 4wd it need much more details, especially for front axle. Advantages: stylish good looking lightweight model with front independent suspension Disadvantages: Stupid rear suspension with 11x5 frame that goes down to ground... Plan was to make it fully rc with 4WD and solid live axles that fit 62's wheels as civil allterrain version and 68's wheels as mud-terrain off road vehicel. Final specifications: 1. Solid live axles 2. Differentials at axles withou diff between axles 3. XL motor for propulsion 4. M motor for steering. 5. Big battery block (AA) as fuel 6. Openable hood, hatch 7. Openable doors with locks 8. Easy detachable front bumper for hard offroad Torque from XL goes to axles with 1:1 and then geared down with differentials 20:28 Steering Motor is geared down for precise steering. Motor is mounted right on the front axle to avoid of making two independent rotating axles going to front axle. That was a good idea, because motor fits good under the hood. Wheels: AT version 62х20, MT version 68.7х34. Wheel base is longer that original 8081 by 3 studs more here Flickr Vk.com
  12. TEXAS RANGER ! Awesome!
  13. here comes the video!! This is me and my new MOC with buggy motors!
  14. Thank you. N8 and iPhone both have software stabilizers. But of course, I need to be careful with these construction
  15. I always have dillemma: controlling or recording. Cant do both things good. My son is too young to help me:) So, this is a try to make both thing easy: Nokia N8 and iPhone 4S ready!
  16. Is that your answer on my question? Is it safe to use Liqui Moly's Silicon Feef?
  17. What do you think about these grease ? http://www.liqui-moly.de/liquimoly/produktdb.nsf/id/en_3312.html?OpenDocument&land=GB&voilalang=e&voiladb=web.nsf Meet with problem of wearing axles at liftarm's holes
  18. And what about receiver V2 ? Can we buy it now from lego direct and what is the price, for exmaple, in Germany? Please, someone call!
  19. Always like modding of original lego models. Good and simple idea to make old model look fresh:)) new body type with facelift;) Its normal for real car brands toi ntrodice cabrio/spider 1 or two years later than main roofed model to gain life period of car.
  20. It makes caster less negative and ground clearance under the center of frame decreases, right?
  21. My choice is 8858. That was my first and only big technic set when I was a kid.
  22. Wow! Very cool. That tires are the best for dakar! So many white beams:) Negative caster is bad, I agree. Effe and Vracer, dont you think that 1 xl per axle is the same that 2 L per axle? Whats the difference?
  23. Mahjqa, I like your little-scaled cars and other MOCS. All of them look cute and includes many functions.
