  1. Nice collection and ideas @Mandalorianknight I love that Batcave and Lex Luthor set. There's a lot of potentials here for a wave. I have been eyeing as well to make a full collection of DC and Marvel properties focusing more on playsets, storytelling and classic comics and animated shows. Your MOCs are very inspiring to make that happen :)
  2. Thank you for your warm message, @lowlead I feel honored. Hope you have fun building, playing and displaying. 🙌 When the leak for next year's sets was out I was very surprised about the TIE bomber listening considering that its first appearance was on episode 5, but I think they will do it as an Andor set from the tv show since on the trailer there's a scene with TIE Bombers. It is funny because I have made the 3 classics from Empire: the TIE fighter, TIE interceptor and... which I have plans to share with the same presentation as I deliver here ;) The TIE Bomber was the only one left I didn't start production and its the one they will release. Hope my interceptor inspires them to consider making display stands for the ships I think it's something that elevates the model and toy. Thank you again for your feedback ;) Feel free to share a photo if you build it.
  3. Thank you so much @Monkeyulize 😀 And you are totally right! The packaging is my favorite part. There were some challenges in the process, but to me, the most tedious part can be the building instructions and its editorial part. I don't have the assets as a LEGO designer, of course, so I try my best with what I can have and do. I use Bricklink Studio 2.0 to make the steps drawings and after that, I export each one to PNG. Studio 2.0 still has its limitations but it still is a powerful software for our MOCs. Then with the PNGs I design in photoshop using my own assets; organize each page and make some "photoshop magic" for lack of description 😅 this part can be very tedious as the model gets complex... but when I reach the last page it's totally worth it.
  4. That's a good sign 🙌 and awesome feedback thank you for your support again @Mandalorianknight ;) For my next Star Wars project I will add 1 or 2 photos with the physical model something like this: I think it's something I feel I could add in the future. My next MOC in the pipeline are also two certain vehicles that are part of wish lists, but to me, it will be more of a homage, I'm also very excited to reveal when it's ready, (there's a teaser of this in the last pages of the instructions 🧐) But right now, I still need to recover from designing this set's instructions 😅
  5. Thank you @ForgedInLego Yes all from scratch, taking measures, designing textures, drawing effects and implementing all :) The graphic part that was already done was of course the LEGO logo, the Star Wars logo and the two minifigures photography. The building instructions were also quite a work. Step by step, page by page.
  6. Oh I'm so happy you like it @ARC2149Nova It means a lot to me :) Fans like you motivate me to create and continue building. I hope you can build my version and add it to your Empire shelf collection. Cheers ;)
  7. TIE Interceptor™ (ROTJ 40th Anniversary Product Concept) By Rui Miguel “Greetings exalted ones” From the Galaxy Far Far Away I bring you the TIE Interceptor. One of my favourite Empire Starfighters from Star Wars. When I was 12 years old in 2006 I remember receiving on my birthday the set 6206, it was a blast back then, but little did I know it would be the last time seeing another release of this specific class. In 2023, The Return of The Jedi will be celebrating its 40th anniversary so I asked myself: what would a TIE Interceptor look like nowadays? I feel like this is one of those long overdue Star Wars vehicles, us LEGO fans hope to see with a modern take and add to our collections. This is my attempt to fill that gap in your collection. As with my previous projects, I brought into my MOC the same design process in order to present a product concept that could identify with the official LEGO product standards. Bellow you can get access to the PDF file of the building instructions and the Bricklink studio file of the model (without minifigures). You can upload to Bricklink and generate a wanted list of LEGO parts needed to order. Download Links (Google Drive): - PDF Building Instructions (23 MB) Here - Bricklink Studio file (375 KB) Here Features: - 545 pcs (Starfighter and Stand only) - Removable and playable Starfighter - Stand display - Printed tile not included - 4x Spring Shooter Darts I'm very happy to finally be able to share this with fellow LEGO Star Wars fans and I hope my MOC inspires LEGO to consider making a TIE Interceptor in the future, that would be awesome. If you have the opportunity to build my version and add it to your collection I hope you have a fun experience while building, playing and displaying 😉 Until the next project, May The Force Be With You If you haven't, check out my other projects SDCC Ghost Rider Midnight Race Utapau Defense - Crab droid
  8. "Hello there" @ARC2149Nova You might be in for a treat tomorrow, I can promise you that. Sorry for me being out of context and out of nowhere 😅 But I'm posting tomorrow something that is on your list, well... partially. 😀 And I'm very excited to reveal
  9. Thank you for your review @Mandalorianknight 🙏 . Now that I think of it I hope this doesn't give LEGO any ideas for exclusives, that was not my intention. 😅 I have shelved another concept idea for a stand-alone Ghost Rider set targeted for 12+, $30 more or less featuring classic Danny Ketch Ghost Rider and Mephisto. This one would have been non-exclusive, I might do it after my other two Marvel projects in the pipeline.
  10. Ghost Rider Midnight Race By Rui Miguel "I ride, and Hell follows with me." Ghost Rider Midnight Race is a product concept I made as a fictional SDCC LEGO set exclusive. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Marvel’s “Ghost Rider” and when I saw Marvel Legends team from Hasbro teasing a Ghost Rider project for their next Haslab with that beautiful anniversary logo, all I kept thinking was how badly I wanted to see one in LEGO! So the idea started there. I think with the current LEGO portfolio a stand-alone Ghost Rider set would only be made into production under these circumstances and that’s why I made the decision to make this a Comic Con Exclusive (although I’m aware this would let down a lot of fans that wouldn’t manage to reach this release, including myself) This is my first Marvel project and it is also bigger in terms of the design process. This project allowed me to fully embrace multiple roles that bring LEGO Products to life. From Model Design (both analog and digital), Graphic Design, Building Instruction Developer, Packaging Designer and Marketing. The most challenging part was being my own ‘Model Coach’ to ensure that the model lives up to LEGO's high-quality standards. All these were meticulously engineered to bring the best play and building experience to the project. Above you see multiple views of the model and a detailed look at the graphic design. You can also find free access to the PDF file of the building instructions and the Bricklink studio file of the model of the motorcycle and display stand. You can upload to Bricklink and generate a wanted list of LEGO parts needed to order. With the manual, you can build your own Ghost Rider motorcycle (and see a “small” tease for what’s next in the pipeline). If you build or just read the instructions I hope you find the scope of scale in terms of details that I wanted to bring to this project. You are cool and I hope you have a good time and fun while building, playing and displaying. Feel free to leave a comment 😉 Feedback is always appreciated 😊 Features: - 238 pcs (motorcycle and stand only) - Removable and playable motorcycle - Stand display - Stickers sheet not included Download Links (mega): PDF Building Instructions (21.1 MB) https://mega.nz/file/KZtEgBgT#73A46eLmJY6SMKCliQGNT37U_VYhjnTRz1dft1isEjI Bricklink Studio file (289 KB) https://mega.nz/file/iIETxYyA#G4Xt9kVm5cWUxWCfh8tY-1MSvgAoU0MXf696gzyZFSk If you haven't, check out my Star Wars Crab Droid
  11. @Per_SW Thank you so much for your view and appreciation ;) You can still have one like this for your collection as I have posted the building instructions with the Bricklink Studio file. It is easy to make a wanted list to order the parts from Brinklink. :) Maybe next year LEGO might do something like this, but I can also feel the pain as it sold out immediately. I promise not to disappoint with my next project reveal
  12. Thank you @Gontron and @MBricks I'm very happy you like it. It's super cool the warm reception this is having. Can't wait to share more projects with all of you.
  13. Thank you @Big_Daddy for noticing those details :) There's a lot of editing work in the process. Yes! Absolutely @McMurder_them_softly And it fits very well on a diorama or vignette too. I forgot to mention but in the PDF of the building instructions, there is a small tease of what is to come next.
  14. Utapau™ Defense By Rui Miguel Hello there! Utapau™ Defense is a product concept I made as a fictional LEGO set. With the AT-TE Walker set from Star Wars Episode 3 revealed this year I decided to make this small Minifigure pack; introducing a Crab droid as seen in the movie. I noticed a demand amongst fans to have a Crab droid in LEGO form, so from model design, building instructions to packaging I set my skills on this challenge. I’m a fan of Star Wars and LEGO so during the design process I was very concerned about making and presenting as close as possible a LEGO Product experience and at the same time balancing a low-cost and easy-to-purchase/find existing LEGO parts. With the Bricklink studio file you can upload to Bricklink and generate a wanted list of LEGO parts needed to order. Features: - 46 pcs (crab droid only) - Articulated legs - Stud shooter Download Links (mega): PDF building Instructions https://mega.nz/file/CUEyFY4B#HfHeCytByif_Nxb9NzPaEhB8RcS7DQGO1uouP2AAvAY Studio file (.io) https://mega.nz/file/rNlghaAI#R5Knv6paNJlIy_xFu9mrY0A_6jTSB64xKmwWteSs7ds I haven't post anything for a while but this model is the first of a wave of projects I’m really excited to finally share with you fellow LEGO and Star Wars fans who are reading this. I hope you like my work and have fun building and playing. Feel free to leave a comment😉 Feedback is always appreciated 😊 May the Force Be With You
  15. Congrats to the winners, great contest ;) Cheers
  16. Great job and usage on those hairpieces gives a lot of motion to the build :) I also like the way you build the damage on the wings. Good luck ;)
  17. @jansued Awesome design! Great accomplishment in getting the shape. Love the attention to detail on the ship and in the base. How long did it take you to build everything? :)
  18. @Artizan The ship's volumetry built is perfect, the shapes and the techniques you did match the source material perfectly :) The Force Is Strong in this one!
  19. Thanks, @Redhead1982 ;) I hope by the summer to have the parts to assemble it physically, I only have the micro snowspeeder with me. I'm glad you like this set.
  20. Thank you so much for your appreciation means a lot to me :) Also, late in this summer fall, I will release for free on my Flickr gallery a download link of the building instructions for this model and a LEGO parts list for easy purchase search. Thank you again for your support.
  21. Battle of Hoth BY RUI MIGUEL Hi everyone this is Rui Miguel and this is my entry for the Star Wars Concept Art Contest being hosted here. I recreated the scene from Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back when Luke Skywalker is piloting a Snowspeeder facing the AT-ATs during the Battle of Hoth. ART REFERENCE Once I saw the contest description all I kept thinking of was my copy of the book "Star Wars Storyboards: The Original Trilogy" I knew the concept art that I would recreate into LEGO would be inside of that Star Wars bible... And that's exactly what I did, from the pages of Empire Strikes Back I found the illustration below by Joe Johnston (if I'm not mistaken). ABOUT From one of my favourite scenes, my Batte of Hoth takes inspiration from the "Brick Sketches" developed by Chris McVeigh. I always wanted to make one and this was the perfect opportunity to make it a reality. This frame is composed by 46 x 24 studs and it also combines microscale elements. The model can also be displayed on a wall and has 3 removable micro Snowspeeders. Below are some promotional shots. Hope you like it and thank you for viewing :) For High-Resolution photos you can check my Flickr gallery here - https://www.flickr.com/photos/167106309@N03/ Contest link - https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/185377-may-the-4th-2021-star-wars-concept-art-contest/
