  1. There's also a bunch of bear-men that adhere to the same archetypes as all the adventurers currently do. Does that mean we can't be these classes, because a group of NPCs are using them as well? Heh
  2. Ooh, how about Enchanter (Or snakecharmer. Rangers are friends of nature, right? )! On a "3", takes control of target for that turn and the next, dealing its power to a different enemy on the first turn, and adding its power to the Enchanters if the Enchanter lands a successful hit on the second turn!
  3. Those reinforcements sound like they're closing in quickly. I wonder if it's just the five or so I may or may not have inadvertently brought upon us, or if we've drawn more attention to ourselves than that. How many tents do ya reckon we can search through before they get here? That one with the blotched label might be worth checking for sure. Any merit to us splittin' up to search?
  4. Thormanil will attack Lion Footsoldier A from the front row.
  5. Well, what's the worst that could happen? As always, De'kra can sneak out if things get ugly.
  6. Dangit, I *knew* I should have told him to allot more stat points buy those x-ray goggles instead of the cape. What? What do you mean there wasn't a pair of x-ray goggles for sale? Of course there was! Anyway, if it's just the two guards, I think we could take them out right-quick. That map would be especially handy. Even if we trigger the alarms, we've got two rounds to finish 'em off before the reinforcements arrive... Think we'd have time to duck back into the shadows if we killed these two before the reinforcements got to us? I/OOC: Think we'd have time to duck back into the shadows Would the battle end if we killed these two before the reinforcements got to us third round after the special was rolled?
  7. And, while you're at it, perhaps you could determine just *how many* guards there are? There's quite a few tents here, I'm sure any swordplay or fireworks would rouse at least a few soldiers from their sleep... Heh
  8. A wolf in the park in the middle of town, now there's something you don't see every day, hah! So, are we off to Bric'lin, then?
  9. I think we should check the surrounding park for any man-eating foliage, check the trees to make sure there aren't any giant birds waiting to swoop down and carry one of us off for dinner, and poke around the bushes to ensure there aren't any giant rabbit or squirrel holes. It's no forest, but that doesn't mean there can't be evil wildlife or fauna! Hahaha! Really though, I think we should either hang around til nightfall, or come back after dark and see if there isn't some activity here.
  10. Well, y'see, the trick is to just tie a string to your one arrow, and pull it back -reaaallllyyy- quickly after it hits! Or just carry a couple thousand arrows with you in your bottomless sack. You *did* remember to get yours before you first set out from the Hall, didn't you? Thormanil laughs Guess we'd better go see what's going on in the shed, eh?
  11. Eyeing the Skull Bomb, chuckling... Who wants to play a quick little game of hot potato?
  12. I'm ready to go to the park as soon as everyone else is. Edit: Or the Guild, heh.
  13. I commented on this in the writeboard the next day, heh. Yup, we definitely had a gameplan for a while there of using JMB as our scapegoat, or at least drawing some attention onto him. Didn't work quite as wonderfully as I'd hoped, but it didn't blow up in our faces, either (more on that below). A few other notes, -It was Eiker's attitude and comments, I believe, that led to him being blocked the first night. I think, in the writeboard threads at least, we were very mindful of the "character backgrounds are meaningless" issue. -If I'm remembering correctly, FFB raised interest in darkdragon on the writeboard due to her question about night actions. There was some discussion, particularly about "Is this just a trick, or does she actually have a night action?" -I think the main reason scum lost this one, even taking into account everything that happened in the last few days, was a breakdown in communication. I could have voiced a stronger opinion about not blocking eiker for a second night in a row, and I could have offered stronger, more decisive opinions for the night kills. Anakin was pretty communicative, but I do wish there'd been a bit more discussion about blocking for the second night (I really don't mean to harp on this, but you were only around for so long.. heh). Griggs could definitely have been more active, it would have been really nice to have a lot more discussion between the entire team about things, rather than (mostly) fred and I back-and-forthing until we found out the next day who Griggs had decided to kill. Additionally, I really feel like Griggs could have stepped in there on Day 3 as the voice of reason on the writeboard, and perhaps calmed DN down before everything got ugly. But I don't mean to be negative--I think these are things we could all work on, and that, collectively, cost us the game. But all that aside, I really had a great time, and as everyone has been saying, badboy, thanks so much for hosting! The sets were great, the daily recaps were entertaining, and I think you handled everything that came up in the best ways possible. Thanks for putting in the time and effort to corral us into a successful Mafia game! Edit: Griggs, it was fun playing with you, too, even if you weren't as active as I would have liked! (I mean that entirely lightheartedly). You were great in-character, and you didn't do anything silly like miss a kill, so I really can't complain Hopefully we'll see each other in another game soon.
  14. Oh, I must have missed him saying that. Let's hit all the other huts, then!
  15. I would agree, it wasn't cheating, just very much against the spirit of the game. But I believe DN had plenty of time to make clear his actions, at the very least to his own team. Twice on the writeboard, I asked for his plan or motives. One of those times I put it quite bluntly, in the form of "FU Guys" or "Don't worry, I've got this." Even when he replied to us, all he did was give us information he should have given us sooner, and tell Fred that he "would never forgive" him. We aren't daft--the idea that he could be trying to use reverse psychology definitely occurred to us. In fact, as I mentioned earlier, he was following a course of action similar to one I had brought up, but made clear that I thought was a risky/poor choice. There was no further debate or discussion about the merits of pursuing such a plan. Throughout the voting/lynching of DN, we actively tried to understand what he was doing, to get him to clue us in as to whether or not he was with or against us. If he *really* didn't mean this maliciously, then he deserves a poor grade for utterly failing to communicate, at the very least. And if he *did* mean it maliciously, well, that speaks for itself.
  16. I don't mean to toot my own horn (really, I don't), but I *was* killed by Nightshroud during the night after DN called Fred and I out. I don't much feel like going back through the threads again, and I know my name was on Eiker's supposed scum list from Day 3, along with Fred and JMB, but I am curious as to your reasons for targeting me. Did I just draw the short straw? Or was there something I did that caused you to target me? If there was, I'd like to fix it for next time Also, I think it is worth noting, and probably relevant to your question, Hinck, that Nightshroud used the situation with Dorothea, and how Fred and I in particular handled it, to defend himself and turn suspicions toward Fred on Day 4, page 2. Even if DN's information-leak didn't weigh into the N3 decisions, it definitely affected the outcome from there. He admitted to being scum in D3, which turned out to be true, then claimed I was scum, which also turned out to be true. He was 2 for 2 so far. What's the chance he threw a random name in there? The evidence, however ridiculously it may have been obtained, pointed to Fred. Quick edit: Wait, so DN told you three people? You killed JediAnakin on the second night.. did DN tell you about him, that early? Or are you including DN as part of his list of three, so, DN, FFB, and myself?
  17. Thanks, Tomas! I'd rather like to see what we can get from the Spider Hut, myself, but we did visit the Skull hut, so I can't complain much! Anywhere else is fine by me!
  18. Woo! No evil skellies jumping outta the house at us! What's the chance that we could just decide on the next 3 houses we'd like to visit, then hit each hut without all this discussion in between? The suspense is killing me, folks! Ha ha! Of course, if anything out of the ordinary happens at any of the houses, we could pause on our way and deal with it.
  19. Not at all. I don't blame Nightshroud for using the information, if he did, and I don't discredit the win. I was a bit unsettled when lots of you started unvoting on D4, because that happened shortly after badboy first told us of the situation, and we didn't know how many people had been contacted. I was afraid the integrity of the game was totally jeopardized. But then you all went and voted for Eiker, so I didn't feel as bad I'm not upset at all over the loss, or anything of the sort. In a game meant to be an educational first step into the world of Mafia games, I've learned plenty (not the least of which being that I don't have any interest in trusting DN, at least until he redeems himself in my eyes, somehow! haha). It was a fun game, even if it was a total cluster---- at times. Town won square and square! (Yes I wrote it like that on purpose. And yes, I'm just joking around, heh).
  20. And, damn it all, I was so close to getting all of you useless talent out of here so that I could finally get my rightful headlining act doing... well.. it doesn't matter! I'd be the star!
  21. Of course it matters! It's got a skull. It's practically begging us to stay away. And that's why we've gotta go check it out! Ha ha!
  22. Skull hut's still got my vote.
  23. I can't quote exact times, due to limitations of writeboard, but I can at least put the relevant stuff I know of in chronological order: *CdF Day 3 thread, 23 Oct, FredFred suggests voting for DN. *Scum-WB Day 3, 23 Oct, I ask about/bring up/"suggest" having DN throw a fit "on the way out the door", falsely accusing someone else, then, before the day closed, apologizing for it and saying he shouldn't have done that. *CdF Day 3 thread, 23 Oct (4:40PM -9), DN's post on pg3, sort of fit in the vein of what I'd described on the WriteBoard, but then outs*1* FredFredBurger *Scum-WB Day 3, 23 Oct, I ask about DN's motives for his post *CdF Day 3 thread, 23 Oct (7:40PM -9), I question DN's "sanity" and vote for him. *CdF Day 3 thread, 23 Oct (8:30PM -9), DN replies to my comment and vote, and then paints a target on my back as well as fred's. *Scum-WB Day 3, 24 Oct, I comment, "It would be nice if DN would check in here and either give us a hearty “FU” or “Don’t worry guys, it’s part of my plan. Scum for life!” As it is, I’m really not sure right now." *CdF Day 3 thread, 24 Oct, Conversation continues between DN and I *Scum-WB Day 3 thread, 24 Oct, DN finally communicates behind the scenes: "My last post here. Thanks a lot for the HELP, guys! Why would you convict me? I had an in with Nightshroud, who is the Serial Killer, and Eiker, who is the Investigator. Goodbye, and I hope you use my info well. I will never forgive you FFB." *CdF Day 3 thread, 24 Oct (9:20AM, -9), final vote tally, DN will be lynched. *1*The validity of "outs" is questionable: AFAIK, no one knew to trust DN's claims, but he put the information out there. That's what I've got. If anyone can fill in the gaps, please feel free to add to the timeline (Especially timestamps for PMs from DN that claim FFB and my guilt). And to DN, in response to what I quoted from your last post on the writeboard, you screwed yourself with those penalty votes because of your talking on the C&D thread. The safest course of action for the rest of us was, in this case, to hop on the bandwagon and vote for you. It's a lot easier to blend into the crowd, and even moreso when the lynched player turns out to be a scum. And it's a heck of a lot easier to say "Hey, let's vote for PlayerX because didn't vote for the scum we just killed" rather than have to defend yourself AS PlayerX in that situation. Edit: Semi-ninja'ed by badboy.
  24. Without going into too much detail, I brought up the idea of having DN accuse people in a flashy display on his way out, since he was pretty much doomed thanks to the penalty votes. I didn't suggest he actually use Fred and I, though. And there wasn't any follow-up discussion about it, really. You are all free to draw your own conclusions from it, but from the situation and evidence as I saw it, it was intended as malicious/revenge against Fred and I for having voted for DN that day (the day he got the penalty votes).
  25. Perhaps I should have written that as "I wouldn't blame Norbert at all *if* he used the information" then :P
