  1. Ow! Thormanil plucks a large splinter from his leg as he recovers from the last round. Luck sure hasn't been on my side lately! Let's end these elves! I'll attack Brobric Elf from the front row again. If he somehow lands another hit on me, at least I'll have a chance to drink my potion, a courtesy neither Keveak nor Ricroar would afford me.
  2. Very fine line between "anybody" and "everybody"
  3. Thank ya kindly. You know what would be miserable? A series of unfortunate dice rolls wherein we all roll damage. Can you say "-60DKP!"? Just a little thought I had, looking at the enemy damage vs party health
  4. Hey doc, I knew I wasn't loony when I asked about the party's stats before, I just couldn't remember/figure out why. I just read the QM Lounge thread, and was reminded: Barbarians gain health back after each battle, equal to their level. So I think I should be at 17/17 instead of 15/17. Might make all the difference, what with the enemies being able to deal 15 damage on a hit, heh.
  5. Tomas, it might be a good idea to have Cinna and Ad-hoh cast their spells before the rest of us do anything, to further reduce the chance that the elves hide behind their spell resistance. Anyway, I will attack Brobric Elf from the front row!
  6. Thanks, Kong. First post has been updated, I *think* it's in accordance with the rules now. Care to give me a once-over, Lux?
  7. Well, no matter who we ultimately decide is responsible, it's gonna be a heck of a fight. Thormanil opens up his bottle of Mead and takes a sip. Others in the group stare at him, as if to ask, 'Are you really having a drink at a time like this?!' but he shrugs it off, and takes another sip, then explains, What? Helps to clear my head, lets me focus more on the slicin' and dicin'! Call it superstition, but I always feel twice as strong when I've got a bit of a swerve goin' on. If any of you've got a drink of choice, potion to down, or god to pray to, now's the time! He then pulls out a small vial of green liquid. Uncorking it, he puts it to his lips, as everyone else just gazes at him, utterly bewildered soaks a small rag with the liquid and begins coating his axes with the Venom. Once finished, he balls up the rag and returns it to his pack. His hand brushes up against a rounded object, and he remembers that he still has the Skull Bomb from the strange little village they passed through. Huh, wonder if this lil' guy will be of any use? Maybe I should chuck it at Keveak's smug face (or, y'know, whoever we decide to confront) just as I leap over the balcony and smash into the table, causing enough of a brouhaha for us to get a round of surprise initiative strikes in! More blank stares Uh, I mean, maybe I'll just throw it first off when we get into the fight and see what happens. Or not. Or.. yeah, maybe not a good idea. OOC: Oh, right right. Any chance of getting a pre-battle status report on the party, or has nothing changed since the one posted a few pages back?
  8. I'd almost forgotten about the reward money. That would be a nice bit of wallet-padding.
  9. Always with the negative waves, Tanma, always with the negative ways.. I've enjoyed every minute and page of the quest, and if we fail here, then so be it. We'll have to forfeit our Shadeaux equipment, but we've gained a bunch of experience (both in-game, and with H.RPG in general), as well as gotten a few unique pieces of gear along the way. Can't take that away. Well, maybe he can, but that'd be beyond cruel, heh. I just went and reread some of the latest information we've gotten, and I'm really curious, Doc, just how creative are you? I can imagine quite a few endgame scenarios arising, each more complicated than the last. I'll save it for the thread, though. Edit: 'Grats K-nut/Althior!
  10. Double "bah". Am I able to apply items like Venom and Mead preemptively, or do I have to use them within the battle?
  11. Bah, decisions. I'd like to just take out Keveak and leave Ricroar, but I don't imagine you'll be letting us do that, heh.
  12. Well, I believe its the elves, most notably Keveak, that are behind all this. And, honestly, I think they'll pose the smallest threat in battle. It's just the three of 'em, and the worst they can do is nullify our magic. No fancy swordplay and parrying, no morale boosts to strengthen their swings... You know where my vote lies. Edit: OOC: Did we run for two days straight to get here, or did we manage to get any rest along the way?
  13. Aha! Finally, some rope! Now we're in business. How's about we toss De'kra up there with the rope (he's a smaller fella, right?), and he can tie it to somethin' and then we can all scale the wall! Or we could stack the barrels on the crate and make steps.
  14. Well, let's quit wastin' time then and hustle on out of here!
  15. Is that how it's been working? Whoops, guess I jumped.on Sandy a bit too quickly! Haha
  16. The joke Sandy Y |__x
  17. Love it. Hahah Doc, say it ain't so! The end can't be that near! Why, we still havent checked out Brobric Pass! With all the rumors of danger that surround it, it's GOTTA be a liter treasure trove, am I right?!
  18. Oh, come on Cinna, it wasn't openin'! And look, we've got this new information that changes everything now. Of yer so concerned, gather up the splinters and hide 'em in the other chest! Heh. Being honest, we've got two choices. Fight our way out of the camp and pray that Keveak isn't too hellbent on waging war, or surrender ourselves to the guards and try to work this out all peaceful-like. Tell 'em we were duped by Keveak and the elves. Now, I love smashing me some faces, but something tells me Keveak isn't gonna give us the time of day.
  19. I'll attack the Lion Crossbowman from the front row.
  20. Thanks, 12 Volts. I built the vig last night and got the pictures taken, going to take one last stab at a cape/cloak tonight before finalizing the original post, hoping to have that done by tomorrow evening at the latest.
  21. I'll attack that second footsoldier (Lion Footsoldier B) from the front row, then.
  22. Must not have many Clerics around your camp, heh. They may not be able to swing a blade to save their life, but they'll fix ya right up. Good thing your camp was here to distract those thugs, though, else we might not be standin' here askin' your help right now. Seems we owe ya one!
  23. Aye aye, won't let ya down, cap'n! Got the story written up and the vig more or less designed in LDD, just gotta make my way downstairs to hit up my friend's LEGO bin today or tomorrow Oh, what I wouldn't give to have my collection up here with me.
  24. Thank ya kindly, Tomas. Might be wise to just have you hold onto any extra, oh, what are the kids calling it these days, phat lewtz?, until we're done with this whole quest. Would be a lot easier to spread the excess around afterwards, so that everyone ultimately leaves with a relatively fair share. Now, we're moving pretty quickly, I don't think the distance between tents is going to matter; rather, it's the searching the tents that takes time. And I'm really curious about the blotched-name tent. Maybe there'll be time after dealing with the reinforcements to search the rest of 'em, but I think we should make our way over there immediately. Mr. Shawe, as far as I know, you're only human, but then again, you might have some spooky echolocation abilities. Any chance you can estimate how many more tents we've reasonably got time to search?
  25. What if I were to decide that I had lost my attachment to Thormanil, and wanted to reroll as a Two-Headed Ogre? Ooh, or a Were-hydra? Then could I equip multiple hats? Oh-ho-ho, how exciting!
