  1. But it is hard to contribute! Really, though, I have felt like most of my suspicions have fallen on deaf ears, or been brushed aside with ease. Maybe I'm just dead wrong and the people I've been trying to address have already been investigated and cleared and thus brushing me aside is the exact-right course of action. It's still a bit discouraging, heh. Holloway/WBD contacted me, believing I had a town role and proposing we bounce ideas off of each other. I wasn't able to offer him a claim, but did consider his suspicions and offer some of my own in return. At that time, I wasn't too bothered. He hadn't really stood out to me prior, and I can appreciate wanting to have someone to exchange thoughts with as a vanilla. I know that he has read my reply, but he has yet to get back in touch. For someone who claims to have been looking for a person to bounce ideas off of, to just drop the conversation after I didn't claim anything seems a lot like it was just fishing for a role claim. It's definitely suspicious activity. I was going to bring it up (since there really wasn't any other discussion going on), but Wilder/fhomess beat me to the punch while I was at work busy with engineering-stuffs.
  2. OoC: Whoops, totally forgot that round two occurred! Thormanil continues to float alongside Arasmyth.
  3. Oh, come on now, surely you have -some- insight into why. Or at least a hunch? You've been taking the lead on a lot of the lynches, and you have a history of getting into the thick of things, generally in a leadership type position. I'm not saying you should come out and tell us who did what that you know of (if you know of any), but you're at about the bottom of the list of people who I'd expect to not have a single clue as to what's going on.
  4. "Heh, just when I thought I might actually get to keep one o' my drinks on hand." Thormanil floats over to Arasmyth and offers him a Grand Tonic.
  5. But... but I was looking forward to spending some quality time on the holo-beach deck! Nah, that sounds good to me. The more scum we get, the better
  6. "Oh, well that works too." he says, as continues to float next to Ad-Hoh.
  7. Thormanil gives Ad-hoh a Grand Tonic to restore his ether.
  8. Poor word choice. Obviously, he was in a position to take advantage of your "sting" and he did so. Point remains, you provided him an opportunity to frame you, and he took it.
  9. If he was, you can only call him an opportunist. You're the one who started spouting off about PRs in the first place, heh.
  10. Today's antics, perhaps (though, that was almost the entire time up until voting took place which is a fairly crucial time period, heh) Well, if you did, then that's great, and I hope you're able to work with the inner circle to make some headway.
  11. Vote: Samantha York (Capt.JohnPaul) I still don't like any of what you've done today, and while I understand the goal, the approach/execution was just so... bad. If you really aren't a purist, then you wasted a crapton of time with that nonsense. Unvote: Samantha York (Capt.JohnPaul) Vote: Andrew Gordon (Scubacarrot) Praise be to ye, oh magic stump. May your many splinters dig into the toes of all who would oppose this mission!
  12. Can we kill him too, just on principle alone?
  13. Well that was about as unexpected as it gets. York, despite your beyond-uselessness today, you may well have been saved by the tree stump. All hail the magical stump-now-asploded!
  14. Oh. Well it definitely wasn't me. Not a chance.
  15. Now you've gone and upset the resident magical stump! That is just beyond heinous.
  16. Thormanil floats next to Ad-Hoh. "Heh heh, drop me and see if you get any more heals, Ad-Hoh!"
  17. It's not a whole Burbank thing, it's a whole you thing. Your alter ego may have gotten tied up with Burbank, but you got yourself further muddied when you 180'ed on him and decided to press an attack. You're right to be worried about the target you painted on your own back (I am impressed with your ability to do so--I'm not barely flexible enough to even scratch my own back!). You are, however, digging yourself an awfully deep hole today. Putting aside the "one side more than the other" bit, is that even an issue? Are you keeping information from one or both sides? Oooh, I got a title
  18. Oh poop, you've caught me. Do I have time for one last evil monologue? Where's that stump at when I need a makeshift podium..
  19. I was born and raised on a hillside. Don't hate. Okay, that makes more sense. I still don't see why you're so inclined to trust him at this point, but at least you're open to discussions and defenses, and not just another ill-conceived bandwagon, aye? -insert the evilest of 'Mwahaha's- It's a reasonable assumption. But did he gain any useful information with it and if he did, did he share it, or did it die with him?
  20. "Diving with caution" and "Following the suspicions of the guy who's been wrong about all his other suspicions" don't exactly match up Additionally, I'm not shocked, I'm amused.
  21. You agree with McAndrews? Really? Tell me, what has been right about so far? Actually, no, he was right that Pewter/Palathdric was a loyalist. I'll give him that one. But he has been dead wrong on all other accounts. And yet you want to start this day off with yet another of his sure-fire suspicions?
  22. Well, it seems as though our "Town Killer" finally realized that his name didn't mean he was supposed to literally kill townies. Good on him. In other news, we've yet again managed to lynch one of our own. I think it's high time we start looking at who has been pushing for these lynches, because they're steering us horribly wrong.
  23. "Aw, what's wrong, Arasmyth? Don't want to go breakin' anymore stuff today? Hah!"
  24. I'm not trying to convince everyone to lynch you. I was just stating why I decided to switch my vote. Bob only knows what would happen if I changed my vote with no reasoning, especially so late in the day (Is this day still going on, even? You lose track of night and day when you're up in space for so long!). You asked for the confusion to stop after you tried to use the bit you quoted out of context to pin him. I really don't expect nor want to split the vote. Others have given their reasons for voting for Burbank. My main reason? I was reminded that lynching is one of our best tools for gathering information, and best weapons for getting rid of purists. I didn't want to cost us another lynch, and so I joined on. Since then, others have voiced their reasons for actually suspecting Burbank. Myself, I wasn't convinced about either of you being purists and I'm still not. I just see you as a more likely suspect at this point than Burbank, and recast my vote accordingly. If, somehow, the vote shifts from its current majority against Burbank, well, then let me apologize in advance, but I highly doubt that it will. Should read as "Since then, more people have voiced their reasons for actually suspecting Burbank", with the point being that withdrawing my vote from Burbank now should not reduce the vote-tally against Burbank from a majority (That's if it even would have when I first voted--I didn't exactly keep track of the numbers at that point).
  25. There's a majority on the doc now, right? I don't feel as obligated to help out with this lynch anymore. Like I've said, Burbank hasn't quite been himself lately, but I haven't been able to place a finger on why. I still can't. Maybe we'll find out tomorrow. For now, though, I'm going back to my suspicions from earlier in the day. Unvote: Julius Burbank (Brickdoctor) Vote: Samantha York (Flare LEGOman273 Capt.JohnPaul) Three very different personalities. None need accept blame for the others, but whoever is up in that head of hers must accept the reality: Ensign York has been digging quite the hole today. Getting tied up in this mess with the doctor was one thing, but now, taking a 180 turn on previous attitudes? I'm not saying you must follow through on the actions of your antecedents, but to so drastically change the direction? It at least begs suspicion. On top of that, you tried to twist a quote to your favor, one that, when read in context, easily and thoroughly disproves the point you were trying to make. I don't expect to see a lynch on York today, nor do I wish to split the votes. I just find her actions as of late, on top of those of her previous selves, when combined, to be much more suspicious than Burbank.
