Thanks for hosting, K-Nut & Masked! Had a good time while it lasted, and looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

I don't mind either way (unless your dice prove to be weighted in Benjis favor )
-
"Aha, cheap shot, Benji! Let's see you try that again!" Thormanil will attack from the front row.

Still shivering a bit, Thormanil once more takes stance in the front row, ready to attack.

Jedi Temple Mafia - Day Two

While I would agree that it should be very clear and that your interpretation is the one that I have assumed is actually in place, the rules, written as they are, confirm only the 72-hour limit you suggested, and the requirements for lynching are, as I mentioned yesterday, situationally in opposition. I wasn't just prattling on earlier. Is not indicated at all. The closest is... ...which brings us back to the questions/concerns I raised previously. I am a Knight now and would appreciate you addressing me as such, master. Though I appreciate your guidance and wisdom still. In case this somehow gets turned against me, I delved into this topic in response to Nahdar's inquiry about ending the day early (which technically, according to the rules-as-written, it should), and the problems that would raise for those who had not yet voted. Had this not been raised as a public question, I would have gone to Yoda or Gree with this. -

Ah, I must have missed him saying that. And yet, the rules stand as I quoted, as do my concerns (unless otherwise answered, and if so, please do let me know ) -

Ah, here we go.. Referring to: Requiring a "majority vote" would, by definition, require the majority of us to vote to lynch a given person. Given that there are 23 of us alive right now, a majority would be reached after a single person accrued their twelfth vote. Now, it is entirely possible (however unlikely) that we could see two of our peers sitting at 11 votes each, neither actually meeting the requirement for a majority vote. If the 23rd vote is not cast for either of them (11-11-1), then we should not see a lynch (as per the first listed requirement for a lynch). However, the second listed factor states that the player with the most votes will be lynched, and is followed by the rule regarding ties. Was the "The player with the most votes will be lynched" meant to read as "In the event no majority is reached, the player with the most votes will be lynched"? That would make more sense to me. Otherwise, a spread of 10-8-5 would, by the first factor(majority), not meet the requirements for a lynch, but by the second factor(most votes), the person with 10 votes would be lynched, despite the disparity between the two rules. As for ending early, as per the aforementioned code ("The day will end when a majority vote has been reached"), we should all have been dismissed from the council chambers before I cast my vote, which would leave myself and many others in a quite a sour spot. In situations such as today, where there was a crystal clear suspect for lynching, would you, Master Yoda and Commander Gree, reward the first half of our Order (those who voted before a majority was reached, and whose votes, in fact, were responsible for that majority), while punishing the latter half of our Order (those who didn't cast their vote before the majority was reached)? If everyone casts their vote on the logical target, then it is inevitable that half of us will not be able to cast our vote before the day "is (technically) over" according to the rules. -

That was more of me just getting into character, I don't mean to circumvent rules/practices, nor to suggest it, sorry 'bout that. As per the code of conduct Master Yoda and Commander Gree have laid out for us, Nahdar, I don't believe we can end today's proceedings early (as much as I wish we could!). I did, however, make an inquiry regarding the vote tallies yesterday that seemed to fall by the wayside. I'll see if I can't go pull that segment of the temple's security recordings.. -

I'm here, I'm here, hope you didn't miss me (though it's an honor to know you were thinking of me! ). I poked my head in earlier, and you all seemed to be quite preoccupied with the information regarding Hugar. Now, if I'd been at the head of things, I'd just end him then and there, and proceed accordingly, but no one seemed to share my enthusiasm nor approve of it. All this waiting around, it's nonsense. We've got our suspect, why should we give these Sith any more time to plot against us aside from it being both in the rules, and the nature of the game?! Patience... bah! But I digress. I took leave of the council chambers and retired to my quarters. On my way there, I bumped into a few other masters in the hallways and shared words with them. As for your other concern, I don't believe my loyalty to our Order was ever confirmed nor agreed upon yesterday, and other matters shadowed the question. Might I be so bold as to Vote: Hugar Ssiht (badboytje88), with only "Hey, it's an investigation test" as my reasoning? (Yes, yes I was in fact so bold) -
My attempt to convert the mech unit "AG-05" in PS2 game series "Xenosaga: Episode 1" to a LEGO model. There are some definite weak points in the structure that I'll address once I've got the parts ordered to build it and toy with the design, but overall, I'm pretty satisfied. It's my first attempt at designing a mech frame from the ground up (though using some design bits from other AFOLs, in particular the shoulder joints, by MittenNinja). I had designed it for use in a tabletop game, "Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack", but upon completion, it stands at about 11 bricks high, nearing twice the height of the 'standard' frame used for scale purposes in the game. Reference image, the AG-05: Edit: Not sure if this should be in the LDD section, or Sci-Fi. If the latter, my apologies Edit 2: The .lxf file is attached here. Thanks @DLuders, I completely forgot about doing that!

Invigorated by the warden's life force, Thormanil yet again steps forward, prepared to attack from the front row.
-
If I had to guess, I'd say the rolls were as follows: Your action rolled as special damage, followed by my action rolling as critical hit. Warden's Special Damage - The Warden is struck with the opponent's Shield skill. Shaman's Shield: The shaman transfers health from their opponent equal to their WP. This does not deplete ether.

Bah, one has only to look to Pokemon old classics to see that DoT effects take effect at the very end of a round.. Let the mob get it's free hit before it eats dirt!

I listened to LordMaster Windu's claim again, and realized why people were talking about usurping this or that. I missed that little detail the first time through, and (assuming that there are a few ounces of truth in what he has said) that just about nulls my previous thoughts of not just lynching him forthright. So, before I, like many others, head off to meditate and rest, I shall Vote: Mace Windu (Nightshroud99) -

Oh, no worries Coryn. I made sure to say "or may be someone else" because, for the most part, I feel that 3PO has been a valuable ally of the Jedi today. As for the chance of Windu speaking lies or truth, it is entirely possible that he has truly abandoned the ways of our Order entirely, and let his emotions get the best of him. In such a situation, he might claw at anyone and anything that he can, bringing them down with him, even his allies whom he believes betrayed him. But that is an unlikely scenario (and only mentioned so as to provide a possible answer to your question, not to defend the truth of his accusation at all). As I noted before, lynching Windu will not tell us anything that we don't already know now (unless someone is foolish enough to step up and defend him before the sun sets). I am suspicious of his role claim to you, and believe we will only be lynching one of the Sith Lord's goons. Not that it's a bad thing at all to eliminate one of the Sith. -

Tough call. Do we let Master Windu live, gambling on him not having a night action and knowing that he likely won't survive to see a second night, and instead pursue a different suspect (which may be C-3PO, or may be someone else)? Or do we just call it a day with Master Windu? The former could be a big risk, but the latter wouldn't really tell us much that we haven't already been handed on a silver platter. -
Grinning, Thormanil readies again to attack from the front row. "Woah there Benji, looks like you've been workin' out! But you know how the saying goes, eh? 'The bigger they are...'"

Well this... uhh.. Okay. I'd been following most of this, and paid some mind to the suspicions that were popping up more frequently about Master Windu, but still held my own suspicions more prominently. This, though, well there's only so much that can be said, without delving into the realm of what-ifs and hypotheticals. As may be prudent, I'll FoS: Mace Windu (Nightshroud99)... heh -

In my padawan's defense, after it was pointed out that such an approach would do us no good (by others, no less. I failed her as a teacher ), I do not believe she pushed for it anymore, only explained her reasoning when questioned about it. Now, as for my own suspicions, Ili Seosty - It's been said before, but being so, so very quick to cast your vote (sounding quite confident in doing so, no less), with no reasoning of your own, and without ever really participating? Bah. We've all been using the "FoS" tag to cast our suspicions, and even if you are busy tomorrow for the rest of the afternoon, you still have 48+ hours-ish from now the later part of the evening in which to cast your actual vote. Aayla Secura - So quick to accuse, and to do so based on an error on your own part? Surely, you could have approached me in a more inquisitive manner, rather than accusatory. Although I'll admit, I did set myself up to be quite the bandwagon candidate, and couldn't blame you for seizing an early opportunity (if my suspicions hold any truth). Plo Koon - While more active than most in our Order, he seems to only be echoing that which is already stated. Active, but not terribly useful. Foul Moudama - While you do offer lots of thoughts and opinions, they seem very focused, almost tunnel-visioned. Surely, there are others who have spoken today who are worthy of at least some consideration? You offer decent enough insight, but why do you continue to pick almost exclusively on Ahsoka while neglecting others' actions? Followed by such an early vote.. -

You weren't confusing in your statements, you were confused. Your hasty accusation, as well as the example you provided to back it up, were based on a false assumption on your own part. Don't take blame for the continuation of the matter, that one was on me. If folks would read pay attention to everything that has transpired before commenting/questioning things, then there would be much, much less repetition, so I would advise everyone to give that a try, as well. I actually believe that there has been plenty of real discussion already today (as well as potential for plenty more). The topic of the discussions may not be useful, but the discussions themselves, how people have handled themselves both on the offensive and defensive, can be very useful, I think. -

Perhaps I am now misinterpreting what I have quoted from Aayla, but the way I read her scenario (the above quoted), the supposed investigator would already be in the position of breaking the hypothetical tie. Aayla's words were specifically 'break the tie', rather than anything that would imply voting earlier, before a tie could be established. I have already, several times, admitted my mistake in delving deeper into the whole scenario, but in this case, it was Aayla who set the parameters of the scenario upon which I elaborated. I'm growing tired of quoting myself, as I've found myself having to do so fairly regularly because the same questions keep popping up, so check back through the records from the fourth page hour of the day, especially my reply to C-3PO's questions. -
Jedi Temple Mafia - Day One

*sigh* It was Aayla's scenario that proposed the existence of an investigator. As the discussion at hand was pertaining to a route of action for the first day, this would, by extension, mean that Aayla was suggesting the existence of a day-time investigator, since, again, this was all pertaining to the first day (that is, before any night actions could have possibly been sent in). Of course, based on more recent comments made by Master Secura, it seems she was already thinking ahead to the second or third day when she jumped on me, and thus her entire accusation was based on a flawed interpretation. Should not a Jedi be more level headed, and seek to understand the situation at hand, including the reasoning behind one's actions, before jumping to conclusions? I feel that Aayla could take a lesson in such matters from our resident protocol droid. As for the second part of your question, I feel I have already answered this and would encourage you to reread the transcripts of the day. If, afterwards, you still feel as though I haven't addressed that line of questioning sufficiently, then I will, yet again, explain myself. -

You've displayed this attitude throughout the day, pointing out mistakes by parties on either side of a discussion, and I must say, I am glad that we have at least one sensible droid who approaches all situations with calm logic, devoid of emotions that may cloud his own judgment. It is good to have a level head in all discussions. I, for one, would very much not like to see us take this route.
