Sure enough, he was. Eurgh, this battle's making me lose my mind, I swear! Ranger continues to target Cleric from the back row, while Thormana attacks the Alpha & Echo with her Thundering Totem from the front & back rows. Rogue should attack the Paladin from the front row. Thormanil>Hound>Ranger>Rogue. I think you can run the round /crosses fingers

I feel like I've turned this into swils vs Archivist rather than Party vs Archivist, and feel even worse about it now that I realize my plan was based on a misunderstanding. I miss Arasmyth's back and forth with the Archivist!

Oh, shoot, I *completely* forgot that Knifk targeted the Archivist way back. And here I thought I had this brilliant set up... I was thrown off by the "not targeted so does not mimic shaman SHIELD roll)", I suppose. If he had been targeted, he wouldn't have gotten a free hit, so that clause seemed superfluous, which led to my other assumption. Bah, and double Bah! How did Alpha (Lv10) hit Ranger for 23 (before reductions)? With Thundering Totem, attack Alpha & Echo from the front & back row.

Ohhhh lord, I missed Jeb's post. I thought we were waiting on him. My very bad. That said, shouldn't the Archivist's attack have mimicked Hound's special when he got a free hit on Thorm, thus he would take the damage that the Maa'ri orcs were set up to take?

Nah, the Hound is just that, a hound. Hound's special absorbs damage from "the orcs". So having the Archivist mimic Hound's special wouldn't affect any damage that Hound takes. However, Archivist won't actually perform that ability except on turns where he gets free hits.

This is an absolutely gorgeous MOC, Pepa. The scale, the detailing, the interior , I love it.

Rubbing her eyes, Thormana is greeted with the view of a fight well within their reach. "It's good to know I'm not the only one who can mess up so poorly with healin'! I'll agree on the last three, but I think that every class of the same tier should be balanced with other classes of that tier (and I think that Sandy has done a good job of doing that). If a class goes consistently unused for no reason other than because other classes (again, same tier) are better at the same role, then that class should be brought in line so that it is a viable choice, one that won't effectively be gimping your character. By the way, Jeb, I do hope you don't go changing the wording on any of the specials, and take them as literally as you did when you gave Ad-hoh that +1 level. I'm kind of counting on it, here .
