  1. Request: 60g + Taroks Wrath See below
  2. Okay, back to the border *this* round, then! "Let's try and get everyone up before this closes out. Raguel won't be able to blind us all for at least two rounds after we start wailing on him."
  3. Oh, KOs. Right then, scratch that last action. Thormanil does nothing (within the Border)
  4. Thormanil steps back to the Eastern Front.
  5. One tank is fine as well. I just want this fight to be over.
  6. I'm pretty tired of people getting dropped and having to revive them, so I think the "let the tanks, tank" option is the best, here. We should put NPCs above and below the two tanks (so one in 3rd, another at the end of the list) so that we don't risk players getting KO'ed by the AoE.
  7. Hey Chromeknight, would you mind getting this round laid out, now that the entire cast is starting to agglomerate on the eastern half of the bridge? I've got one last final to focus on.
  8. Thormanil yells down from his lofty position inches above the bridge, doing his best impression of Guts, "Argh, one of you fools get me off the ground right this instant!" But seriously, I'd like to see Guts raised before this battle's over. Also, as a point, should Cassandra really be allowed to heal herself with her special? The wording states "her ally" so by all technicalities, she shouldn't be included among her own allies! From his oh-so-elevated position, Thormanil notices the last of the Orcs dropping to the ground. "Maybe they'll hurry over here and help us stop these pests, like they should've been from the beginning" he thinks to himself. E: Battle order to come tomorrow once some actions roll in
  9. Sure enough, I missed that tidbit. Bother, now I have to think about things! I've got a final in a few hours so I can't pick through this too much. If someone feels they have a better/revised order, please adjust accordingly. Guts vs Cassandra x2. Benji Haldor Purpearl Matthias Guts Guts Gocklo Haldor Thormanil Dyric Jess Alexis Boris Cinna Dreyrugr Edit: Added Gocklo
  10. Because, in theory, his level of success within the game should have zero impact on your own enjoyment of your time spent here.
  11. Not to rain on the parade, but in the initial description for the battle, it said that clerics can only heal those in the same section, not adjacent. I just don't want any plans to be made on false pretenses that cause us to suffer another poor round. Thormanil stumbles a bit from Cassandra's counter, but attacks her again anyway.
  12. Back on his feet, Thormanil stabs Cassandra.
  13. That Foxtail would have been a godsend in the Baltarok fight, not to mention most climax/boss-type fights. E: That made me think of something. If someone can deal X damage on a hit, and an enemy is Inspired to have 2X health, and the hero had the Foxtail equipped, would they kill the enemy with a single hit?
  14. Frozen Saber -> Frozen Halberd
  15. Thormanil grunts as he collapses on the bridge, "Ungh.. didn't expect that.." He shrugs off Purpearl's help and claws his way towards the Border. (If he gets raised)
  16. A flat 5 damage seems to have been power-creeped right the heck out of viability. How about 5% of each individual enemy's health, plus elemental modifiers! I know how much QMs love extra calculations
  17. Grimacing, yet with a grin, he replies "Bah, someone's gotta take the bruises so you prettyboys can do yer work, eh? Heh heh. I think I'll be able to stand another hit from his rickety old cane. 'Sides, I've got these two lovely personal healers here!"
  18. "Ugh, why'd I ever take up a shield. Just t'keep you safe, l'il guy?" he winks at Arx, though it almost appears as a cringe. He clutches his side. doing nothing as he waits to endure another hit..
  19. Sorry, somehow convinced myself that I could survive a 130 damage hit with an effective health pool of less than 130. Thormanil stays in the E.Front and drinks his last Grand Potion.
  20. Thormanil steps forward and attacks David. (with Shishkebab)
  21. So for "Generic Beast, (Immune to Fire)" being attacked by a Ruby/Opal imbued weapon, would the multiplier be x2 (for the opal) or x0 (due to the ruby)?
  22. I guess I didn't mean to suggest that, my mistake! The take-away there was supposed to be that slapping "Immune to" would negate any weakness/resistance to that particular element that would otherwise exist through the elemental system. Enemies would still be weak/resistant to things as normal, with an opal-imbued weapon dealing 0 damage to an icy monster, but dealing normal damage to a QM-designated ice-immune beast.
  23. I feel like Immunity (as it's being argued) just shouldn't be a thing. Leave it at Weak Against & Resistant To. Undead are technically immune to physical attacks, but having any combination of gems allows a [generic weapon] to hit them all the same. At most, a special-case "Immunity" should just negate the positve/negative multipliers of an element. A Beast that is immune to fire should take 1x damage from a sword that has only a ruby imbued in it, but would still take 2x damage from a Ruby/Opal sword. An Undead that was immune to fire would take 0x damage from a ruby-imbued sword, but take 1x damage from a ruby/opal sword. I know that the wording doesn't quite match up with the definition of "Immune", but that's why I think "Immune" simply shouldn't be, in the first place.
  24. Oh, yeah sorry. Should have bolded something. Was planning on sitting the round out, but Scuba had other plans! Thormanil attacks the Prince.
