  1. Rivendell was a final model when that was leaked, and it was NOT a part of that survey per the person who took the survey. Most of the models in the survey were concepts of what sets would look like if they were released, and sets like the Sail Barge, for example, were VERY clearly not how the final product would look. I don't think we know which will look like the final models (if they all release) or not at this point.
  2. Don't worry. I'll add this to my signature as a visible reminder of the comment (I don't think there will be any sets either, but if there are...)
  3. Please not another Hulkbuster... I wouldn't mind a small Quinjet so long as it doesn't take away from the main build.
  4. Don't you know? The X-Jet is actually Venomized itself, and the four figures are just four Venomized Wolverines.
  5. Agreed. I'll reiterate this again, but Stormtroopers of all things are terribly hard to come by in large amounts anymore. The main enemy of a whole trilogy and three shows (including Mando-as Stormies are in multiple episodes-, Andor, and Rebels) should be far more available. And they once were, but now everything is clones. I'm not saying clone sets should disappear, but the reason I think the 2014-2017 era of LSW was so good is because alongside great builds was a prevalence of stormies, and clones, and droids, and... Everything felt well represented. I would agree that the Hoth packs are clearly not selling well enough, but that's also because they are more particular, and there are less sets that they go alongside. If someone wants an AT-ST for Endor, the Hoth AT-ST doesn't help them. If people want Imperial armies, but literally on any other planet, the battle pack doesn't help them. Same with the Rebel pack. They were great at release because they were on the tail end of people more frequently buying 75288 and the front end of 75313, but now, they don't really do much. The only sets they go with are each other, and the Rebel pack isn't widely available, so building up a ton of Snowies to fight against one Rebel and Chewie just isn't desirable. Contrast this with the Clone sets, where we get a $140 model for them every year, Battle Droids around in some of those same sets, and lots of vehicles, etc. for them to engage with. If LEGO released a $30 Stormtrooper pack with 3-4 regular Stormies and a couple of Rebels (or some similar distribution), I would guarantee that this set would be incredibly popular for the OT fans (who are a large percentage of the Star Wars fanbase (and overlap as PT fans, ST fans, etc. in many areas)). But that's just not something LEGO has done of late (and I'm not sure the Trexler counts in the same way, with only 2 Stormies an a Mortar trooper, as good as the set was).
  6. Am I the only would who wouldn't mind if LEGO just started doing architecture sets for LOTR in the style of the new Hogwarts?
  7. I can't even get to my cart...
  8. First off, I've never dealt with parts falling off issues on this set, at least to any extent beyond my own fault picking it up in a way that isn't sound, etc. While I understand all situations are subjective for that, I don't think it's a widespread issue in that way. Second, most big 18+ sets are meant to be put on a shelf and displayed anymore. You're not buying the 18+ Chewbacca (not that anyone is, but) to play with it. It's a display piece that might have some functionality. Same is true with the Tallneck, the Modulars (to great extent), UCS ships, etc. No one is complaining that their $850 Falcon isn't swooshable without parts falling off, because that's not the point of the set - it's for display with some minifig accessible functions/areas for flair. In the best way, if you're looking for sets that are all about playing and rebuilding, those are system sets, not 18+ $100 display models. Sure, you can do that with whatever sets you want at the end of the day, but there is a difference between design intent and ability. This set is one of the most polished LEGO sets of late in so many ways - it's generally very sturdy, is a remake of a classic favorite that can be rebuilt into two others, and has a really good ratio of studs and slopes to make it look very clean as a finished build, moreso than many other 18+ models. I'd also argue that this set, given how rebuilds have sprung out of it, has generated a good bit of creativity with the available parts (such as the 10497 U-Wing, etc.)
  9. This. It's the same reason why I don't understand why it's so absolutely critical that Star Wars get a minifigure for May 4th ever year. Two days later it's sold out and people will complain that it wasn't more widely available. I love seeing sets like the mini Death Star that are cool, well-done promos to have, but not as "critical" to a collection in the same way. Frankly, I'd rather we get some side car build or something to go with the tower on the side as a GWP and have more parts go toward the actual tower itself, since that's what we're paying $525 for at the end of the day. The bigger issue I have is that LEGO is just using this GWP as another way to get rid of excess Black Panthers and Outriders rather than feeling like anything actually goes together for it.
  10. Don't you know that 4+ is the equivalent of Sunnyside Daycare? It looks all nice and appealing to minifigures as they get to go to excited younger kids, but all they get is either left on the shelf or stuffed up someone's nose.
  11. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Stormies aren't exactly in high supply in the LEGO Star Wars community anymore. We have a mech and a Tie Fighter... Otherwise you just get endless clones. The last set other than those with Stormies was in 2021 for the Imperial Transport... It's not just Harry Potter. Would love to see more Dementors and Death Eaters.
  12. This. He is just putting together all of the possible rumors (without listing any sources, I might add). The whole "if I put together enough possibilities maybe I'll get one right" kinda thing. If the Octuptarra droid is correct, that would be quite nice though. Thanks @Renown for clearing that up!
  13. The fact this isn't already an $80 SW buildable droid actually kinda surprises me, in a sad way. But yeah, I'd highly guess at least one 4+, one buildable fig, and then maybe a couple of system sets. The good thing is that we're getting anything LEGO DC.
  14. More than one type as in more than one legion? Like Shock, 212th, Gunner, and 501st? Or like three 212th and a gunner?
  15. Just to add a few more details to this (most all per Promobricks and Brickmerge and compiled by JediJacPenguin (more added thanks to Brick_Clicker & FalconFan1414)): January 2024: 30680 (Polybag) (75 pcs) 75372 "Super Battle Pack" (Clones vs. Droids) $29.99 (215 pcs) - Rumored to have the return of Super Battle Droids 75374 "Skeleton Crew Ship" $129.99 (1325 pcs) 75384 Crimson Firehawk $49.99 (136 pcs, 4+) March 1, 2024: 75375 Millennium Falcon (Midi-Scale) $79.99 (921 pcs, 18+ Midi-Scale) 75376 Tantive IV $69.99 (654 pcs, 18+ Midi-Scale) 75377 (?) 75379 R2-D2 $99.99 (1050 pcs, 10+ Buildable Figure) 75387 Boarding the Tantive IV $54.99 (502 pcs, 8+ (NOT 18+)) May 2024: 40675 (Unknown Brickheadz) $54.99 40676 (Unknown Brickheadz) 40686 (May 4th GWP) 75378 Grogu's Escape $29.99 (based on the scene where Kelleran Beq rescues Grogu) 75380 Mos Espa Podrace $69.99 (718 pcs, 18+ Diorama) 75381 Droideka $59.99 (18+ Buildable Figure) 75382 UCS Tie Interceptor $239.99 (18+) (Rumored by Brick_Clicker) Unknown: 75388 75389
  16. LEGO isn't making it to be efficient. They're making it to sell and get more money, simply put. It's the same reason they decided that people wanting a 501st pack meant they could make it $30 with oversized builds, or a Dark Trooper pack could be $35 and have a mediocre hallway. As much as people will complain about it and say they just want the figs, enough will buy it... And to be fair, if the hallway is done well enough (it has a solid part count), it could easily be converted into a diorama, or be a good pack to expand a larger Tantive layout for people who want it. At this point, we just don't know.
  17. LEGO isn't too lazy to make a new mould. Star Wars gets new moulds all the time. The fact is, LEGO wants to be consistent. Whether you like it or not, that's the ultimate goal. If they remake the visor, now it won't work on Mandalorian helmets, because it would sit too low, or not sit properly. As it is, LEGO has made a set of antennae and visors/macros that work for every helmet that has holes. Does it look 100% perfect on them all? No. But for a 6 year old who wants to mix and match their Boba Fett mech accessories and AT-TE items, they can, even if accuracy is slightly compromised for the sake of playability... It happens all the time in almost all sets to some degree or another, just for the reason that they are made for 6+ year olds to enjoy and not just adults. Going back to the topic of Kamas, I presume it's for the same reason at this point. While you can argue that a kid can take them off to sit down figs, if LEGO did kamas for 8 years and is now not anymore, there must be a reason, and I'm not inclined to definitively say it's just laziness. LEGO has years of data leading them to retire kamas, and I don't think we have a full picture as to why they removed them. And the couple sets in other themes that have them don't have the figs in a position where they are sitting down, which is likely why they get the cloth parts. As much as I would love Rex to have one, if anything, he's consistent with the other clones. If he got one and they didn't, people would complain just as much as they do now, but instead saying that "a set had one, so all of them need to" instead of no sets having them and all sets needing to...
  18. That's a scene where it's a distinct hero character trying to stop the villain from escaping prison. That's VERY different from an identically looking hero character brutally massacring multiple other hero characters. Like @Mandalorianknight said, if Wanda at least *looked* different, that would be something.
  19. Or maybe the other side of the ship...
  20. I think Multiverse of Madness also has the obvious issue where the scene is much more of a massacre than a fight. Someone's head gets exploded and someone turning into string cheese are not going to be portrayed by LEGO. Also, they aren't the same kind of "good versus evil" battles that LEGO prefers. Everything mentioned above is very clearly the hero versus the villain, and LEGO tends to shy away from fights that don't fall into that. We have the Molly versus Bellatrix scene in HP, but almost no sets that would even suggest Snape versus Dumbledore from HBP. I don't think LEGO wants to make a scene where a possessed hero massacres a bunch of (half-known-by-kids) heroes. While it's a great fig pack for adult fans, it would be really interesting to try to market... "Go play with the possessed version of your favorite character and reenact the scene where she kills everyone" sounds like a complaint from a concerned/angry parent ready to happen. (Before anyone says anything - yes, Ninjago: Possession happened, but in that at least Lloyd looked distinctly evil and they made it clearer how that all fit into the NON-massacre battles with him)
  21. And this is where the amount of new content is hurting things. We have so much coming out that it keeps us from getting such waves as 2012-2015 where they were able to focus on 6 movies and 2 shows of material in great ways filling in gaps. As far as the droid factory-the only way I see them making that set would be in the style of the old Toy Story 3 Trash Compactor, and I'm not sure that sold particularly well. I think kids are a lot more likely to be interested in a cool droid vehicle than a conveyor belt where they can build the 3 droids LEGO would likely include. That's the biggest problem with a lot of the PT that we haven't gotten. If you asked a 6 year old kid whether they wanted a cool AAT, ARC 170, Jedi Fighter, etc., or a conveyor belt with a couple of droids, a wedding, or a $40 diner, it's pretty obvious what kids would want. I would love to see more unique PT items (and I'm not even a huge PT fan), but given LEGO's limited space in each wave for original saga sets anymore, they're gonna play it safe with ships, tanks, etc. I think an MBS Coruscant with some of the civilian areas a-la Ninjago City would be amazing as a set. I just don't think LEGO has enough faith that something like that would sell, especially at the $400+ price point they would charge for it. When LEGO looks at the opening of AOTC, you have the attack on Padme, the Death Sticks guy, Dex's Diner, a Speeder Chase, and then going to Kamino while Anakin says cringy pick-up lines to Padme. What of that would make fun sets for kids to play with? Bounty Hunter Pursuit, Obi Wan's Starfighter and fighting Jango... And that's about it. The rest are popular because they're memes, not because they provide good vehicles/scenes to translate into $40-$60 sets that people outside of a small subculture would buy. And sure, you could throw Jango into Dex's diner, etc., but at the end of the day, it's still a red and grey diner with an alien that very few remember. If a kid can choose between that or a Spider Tank with Baby Yoda and two cool Mandalorians for the same price, the choice is clear. I do want to be clear. I'm not saying this because I wouldn't like to see some of these sets. I'm saying this because I think we too often forget that, from mechs to Dex (hey that rhymes), these sets are for kids, and that's the research LEGO is using to make them. We can want to see Wilrow Hood in every set, but no kid cares about the guy in the orange jumpsuit. They want a cheap way to get Vader (the $16 mech since they can't afford the $65 Bomber). They want cool Mandalorians and tanks, ships and troopers. That's why every clone has helmet holes for kids to customize them, etc. Because for a 6 year old kid, that's pretty darn fun.
  22. I think people forget that Harry Potter doesn't have a whole lot of specialized moulds or printing. LEGO has made excellent versions of the figs from day 1 like Hagrid that they've been able to reuse since 2018 with minimal changes, which inevitably lends more budget to other parts of the set. They also don't have a fanbase that consistently complains about arm and leg printing, as most characters don't really need it, which also means more budget towards the set itself. Additionally, HP relies a lot more on stickers for designs, which also means less budget towards printed parts overall. Pair that with removing any "Disney/SW tax" and you have a theme that can be a lot better as far as PPP ratios and such, as well as little yearly extras like the ticket or coins.
  23. The 3 giant coins are this set's equivalent to the Hogwarts ticket from 76405. They've just been adding in bits and pieces to extend Icons with each new D2C since, which I appreciate.
  24. Oh definitely. I know a lot of people on here would love it, but we're all adult fans. Hence why I said no one under at least 15. Those of us who grew up with LEGO Star Wars 1 and the PT around us might have some more interest, but I really doubt kids nowadays have any care for it, much less at a $40+ price point. I think the people who want ST remakes simply want something from the ST. We're getting lots of PT, CW, OT, Mando-verse, etc. sets, but nothing from a whole era of Star Wars, one which many people like at least aspects of - whether the vehicles, FO Stormies, etc. and don't have a single way to get anything from.
