LEGO Star Wars 2022 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

I don't think it's a terrible size, though maybe a bit oversized. I'm in the camp that isn't as big a fan of the smaller vehicles of 2021 due to wanting more accuracy though, so I may not be the perfect person to talk about this haha. -

I'm definitely interested in Indy, whenever it comes, but I agree that Avatar holds very little interest for me (beyond seeing the sets and how they decide to do them, which I'm sure will be interesting). Hopefully those set numbers are still in use for something, but we will have to see. -

This has been the topic of a lot of discussion, as LEGO isn't doing the longer "woody" legs anymore, but we really don't know if they would do a new longer mould for legs and/or torso/arms. I suppose we'll just have to see. -

So legohio just posted a picture of a mould for a landspeeder windscreen sitting next to the force ghost, "correcting" his earlier false rumor... -

The only difference is the LEGO logo on the shell, which makes it still possible-if only slightly- that this piece is official, even if the rumors aren’t, but only time will tell. -

This is just a matter of what concept art was given to companies for the movies. The Thor and DS sets have been in the works for a while based off concept art, just as the NWH suits and set were based off concept art when those sets released in October. These aren’t sudden new sets they designed in lieu of NWH stuff. It’s likely more NWH-related sets will come, but we’ll see. -

The new face honestly looks pretty good. It captures Pedro Pascal's look for the show well, and it is unique, which is good to see. -

Honestly, I never really expected anything amazing from the accessory pack. Everyone made it a big deal of suspense with what they would do, but it makes a lot of sense to put characters like Korg and Miek in when you have unmade variants and it coincides with Thor 4. I'm waiting for the hail of "why would they do this" right after the last two packs were some clones and some Hoth rebels. LEGO wasn't going to make some amazing character set for this... -

Promobricks just shut down this rumor (the windscreen one), so we'll see with the C-3PO, but I'm taking it with a very large helping of salt right now. -

I would argue that the Landspeeder is just as UCS "level detail" inherently as something like the A-Wing. I think having a smoothly designed, large-scale Landspeeder could come out really well, but we'll see. As far as the windscreen, promobricks may just not have known of the new windscreen in the space set, making this one seem new. -

I don't know if anyone saw the rumor, but supposedly the new UCS Landspeeder will use the dome element from the new space station as the windshield. This would indicate a pretty good size for the set. Legohio on instagram posted this rumor, and he estimated a size of roughly 62 x 37 studs. -

Given that the last sets didn't seem to sell super well, it makes sense, but having seen that trailer, it is a bit of a shame that we aren't seeing any more sets. I guess we could view the new Dumbledore' office as a sort of bridge set, since it's appearing in both franchises? -

I would expect a relatively good PPP ratio, depending exactly how many new moulds there are, but we'll have to see. -

I don’t know if anyone saw BrickFanatic’s news. They asked the LSW team about the lack of new mould for the dark saber, and the team said that due to the short development time of the N-1, they weren’t able to for this set. I guess we can presume a new mould at some point then, but we’ll see when. -

We don’t have any other info than the set numbers and the new moulds, no. If they are releasing in April, I would expect some pictures early next month, but we’ll see. As far as this wave releasing earlier, it is true to form. I guess they want to see how the theme performs with earlier release sets? -

I’m guessing this was a situation of minimal info/concept art more than anything else. If they’re basing a whole set off of this, they were likely given some concept or info on “Gorr attacks New Asgard with some kind of monster,” so as to give more relevance to why he is the focus of the set, but who knows. -

While this may not be the most loved scene, I do think that making a larger set based around the temple would still sell well just for virtue of being an "adventurers' temple" design plus Indiana Jones. Additionally, if it was the main set for the fourth movie, it would also include plenty of potentially desirable and exclusive figures, which would balance out the lack of enjoyment of source material. I would expect the Temple from RotLA to be one of the larger set focuses though due to the iconicity and the love of material. -

The theme has been confirmed by reputable leakers, but at this point we don't have any other information. I wouldn't expect to see set lists or much more info for a little bit, at least, especially as they likely won't release until around October to coincide with the December movie release. -

It depends how LEGO would make the set. They could definitely go with a "Lockwood Manor" type set for it, or they could go full modular. In any case, I would expect that they would make it in a nicer style to accommodate those would want to switch it to modular style if so desired, but we'll see. -

Frankly, I would expect a nice build for the Sanctum. The Bugle had the minifigures that it did with 3772 pieces for $300, and it had a full interior and exterior build. Say what you will about the exterior, but as someone who owns the set, I find it very nice for what it's trying to do. I would expect, given the 2708 pieces for $210 for the Sanctum, and the lack of minifigures, that LEGO went into more detail for the build at the expense of figures, if anything. I suppose only time will tell though. -

There’s also a chance that Obi-Wan could be in the Dagobah set, just not pictured on the front of the box art (though that would be weird). It has happened before, albeit rarely. -

It definitely creates a more accurate effect for the figure. I would guess that Yoda will/would get a new mould, which was kinda inevitable for them doing any way other than minifigure variants for this. -

The other option I could see, should the IM and SM variants be based on IW, would be Ebony Maw. -

I could see them potentially including a young Dumbledore in a series 3 - a young Dumbledore from HP if not from FB. If we do get a series 3, it likely wouldn't be until next year, given how there was a year between series 1 and 2.
