  1. The Captain and his crew have arrived at Vane's hideout Aye Rock, where danger awaits: Episode 5 is out now:
  2. I present Aye Rock, Vane's pirate hideout: Having accumulated an abundance of riches, Vane has upgraded Aye Rock in the style of his favourite Parisian Restaurant. What used to be a ramshackle shack is now an impressive baroque palacio, much to the annoyance of rival pirates. Aye Rock is prominently featured in the new Being Pirates episode, which you can watch here if you like: Let me know what you think :-)
  3. Oooh, love the shape of that hull! With Lego It's always difficult to create a curve along the whole length of the hull but you did a superb job! I'm looking forward to seeing the progress on this ship!
  4. Thank you Pxchris! Episode 4 is out now, for everyone to enjoy!
  5. Oh, I love this! Very beautiful and busy harbour!
  6. Good Job! I especially like the stern and the colour scheme works very well with the redcoats
  7. Thank you Jintaiz! Much appreciated
  8. Wow, this ship is incredible! The bow, the stern, the rounding of the hull, all perfectly executed!
  9. Wow, I am very impressed! Very well done indeed! The music carries alot of emotion, exactly what's needed for movies. What program do you use? I especially like the intro Pirates Chronicles 13 remastered.
  10. If they were official sets I'd buy them in a heartbeat
  11. Wow, what an impressive ship! Don't think any pirates would like to cross her path I love the rigging, very detailed and makes the whole ship even better. Is there an interior?
  12. Thank you peedeejay! Thanks JintaiZ! And that text that introduces it is great! Thanks for also linking the video
  13. Wow! I love this! What a beautiful port and fort!
  14. Thank you SATSOC! What an honor! Thank you!
  15. Thanks Supersick_! I see what you mean with extending the upper deck at the front. Now that I see it I think it would be great to do that. I might update her and then include her as the Unsinkable III in a future episode of Being Pirates Ha ha, I see it exactly like you see it, tempting fate a bit too much (as you can see in the episode). The name Unsinkable II also kind of implies there was an original Unsinkable that probably...sunk. The Flag is two sheets of paper, each one printed. I then crumpled up and uncrumpled the paper many times to give it that fabric-like look and then stuck the two sides together but put some wire in between the paper sheets so that I could animate the movement of the flag in stop-motion.
  16. Thanks! And Thanks Mister Phes and Jintaiz !
  17. So far I've been going the route of making my own music, it sounds quit DIY but that's the sound I am going. It feels like lots of pirate videos have music that sounds almost like the Pirates of the Caribbean theme and I wanted to do something different. Do you make music yourself? I'd love to hear it!
  18. Ha ha, I wouldn't be too hopeful Thanks! I also think it's the best episode out of the three
  19. I've updated the topic with Episode 3: Battle at Sea. Alot of work went into this one. Let me know what you think!
  20. I present the Unsinkable II, a 40-gun imperial ship of the line. After the terrific Barracuda Bay got me back into buying lego for myself again and led me down a lego-nostalgia rabbit hole I decided to get all the lego from my childhood out of my parent’s basement, sorted it and started building again. I wanted an imperial ship as an antagonist to the Black Seas Barracuda, so I built this ship of the line, using mainly parts from the 90s and early 2000s. It’s not built on prefab hull pieces, instead the hull is completely brick-built. The Unsinkable II is not modelled on any specific ship, but I did use the HMS Victory, the HMS Vanguard and the HMS Melville as references. For more pictures visit the Flickr folder: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmVtyX4C The Unsinkable II and Barracuda Bay then inspired me to resurrect another old hobby: making stop-motion animation. Watch the Unsinkable II and Shippy McShipface (Black Seas Barracuda) battle it out in this new episode of Being Pirates:
  21. Thank you Stoertebricker! I've actually never been to Havana, but I'm glad my rendition fits. I'd love to go some day. Yes, It would be great to know if it was as colorful back then as it is today. I just googled Cartagena and wow, it's beautiful! I'm looking forward to seeing your rendition!
  22. Oh, I like this! Very recognizable as a remake of Eldorado Fortress but it still has it's own, updated character. Style-wise it would really fit in well as an official lego set, lots of playability but also not overly huge. It would fit in really well into the current Barracuda Bay and Creator pirate ship world!
