  1. A simple small meeting... that's how i would describe it.. Some sellers and LOTS of MOC builders, the builders are always open for questions and meeting new people to the hobby of LEGO.
  2. .... prepairing for tomorrow... wow.... that's a lot of work
  3. Marines do it up and personal !
  4. I'm coming on Saturday , with my CTT and new LAAT-I ( Look for big gray thing and a really cool 7676 remake ) grtz Saint
  5. One does not simply buy polybags from LEGO !!! (free from LoTR )
  6. "Did LEGO forget your underwear too ??"
  7. Wow.... traintracks in the garden.... I remember a "kind of famous" person who did this, and some other guys here in the Netherlands.... quite the challenge ! Having the same thoughts along the way I decided not to do it, but to figure out something else... The track with the "concrete" slabs looks promesing, but a little to permanent. Plywood ...hmmm I wouldn't go there.. You would have to protect that very very well for the rain.. otherwise water will ruin the wood. I guess there is little to do rather than this : Make your own track with a alloi ( I don't know this word ) that does not rust, but that will take a lot of skill and labour.. Not really doable for a lot of people I guess... or you have to outsource that. Storage would be better If you would lay tracks into a shed or doghouse .. Depending on the kind of track ( 9 volts or pf train ) you can operate this from a central place in the garden ,if you catch my drift. Good luck with thinking up the perfect system for your garden !!!
  8. Well... this could easyly could work for pf trains aswell.. but for the kiddies... I'll support it !! grtz Saint
  9. U sir, just gave me goosebumps !! U can just copy and paste te url here, and we will do the rest ! grtz Saint
  10. I agree General Magma, Here we can buy polysets for € 4 at the gamma... and those are... iffy at best. Bhaaaah ! I still can't believe there isn't done more by LEGO in the Netherlands.. LEGOSTORE ?? whahaha I think somewhere around the time hell freezes over for us . Just all the polybags I wanted .. like the clonetrooper or the the mini's ... never. Will never be too I guess Grtz Saint
  11. Perhaps seling them on BeLug will help you. grtz Saint
  12. you can try mini-scale first.. using the sphere technique you can enlarge it with whatever parts you have
  13. I think everybody started out with one set.. one time or another... and with the introduction of the internet everything became bigger and faster... young builders look up to builders who have a lot, but are forgetting they had to start somewere.... My dark ages endend in 2002... a whole 10 years ago... actualy... that was this month .. I started again with some LEGO.. perhaps a mere 1000 parts i managed to save over that time... 15 Blacktron I guys... wow.. takes me back. While on a limited funds I managed to get to the point I collected so much I had to sell some of my parts.. just to make room... Today I have a room dedicated to LEGO, try to visit the LEGO store once a year ( 160 km , for the Dutch no LEGO store ) in hope they have a few parts I need. Bricklink IS the best way to get parts ! I can relate to the fact your ambitions are bigger than your collection/ funds ... even after all this time I have the same " problem" .. now I try to calculate parts , sort them at forehand and make something accordingly. Even colors don't stand in my way.. if I want something in a specific color, I'll try to build it , and replace the parts afterwards.. problem solved... this may take some time and doing.. but IMHO totaly worth it... Just don't give up hope I guess.. that's the message. As for your Technodrome .. ?? I don't have a single clue what the size should be.. or what size you want to build it in.. grtz Saint
  14. Wow... Very nicely done, the whole scene is just ..... perfect.. love the organic feel of the forest.. Figs are dark hero stuff, I mean, not shiny armour dudes , but more forest men .. Love the overal feel to it !! Keep it up !! grtz Saint

  16. Hi Simon, You can use Bricklink ( www.bricklink.com ) for missing parts and sets.. I don't know about a used 10143 , but you can search bricklink, or try amazon, the latter has some good deals. Good luck ! grtz Saint
  17. A link could be helpfull grtz Saint
  18. http://mocpages.com/moc.php/260444 this is the cauldron I spoke of . This uses the bigger tyre, just inside out . I used lego cauldron as a search with the images option on google I love searching with images Grtz Saint
  19. I google'd it and I found a funny looking cauldron.. it uses a tire ( reversed ) . It gave a perfect looking cauldron ( It was a lot bigger , but I found it so funny ! ) I think it was a 68.8 x 40.0 tire. Hope this helpes a bit, halloween isn't big in my country . grtz Saint just a small edit : the 43.2 x 28 s tire works also ( and stand just under the head of a minifig ... aka shoulderheight )
  20. Those guys did a good job !! I really like the way "Legorigs" did his big wheels.. Is there a pdf for or something ?
  21. Well, start by unlocking your " Caps lock' on your keyboard, that is most helpfull. I don't recall the ship from " one eyed willy " ever being build, so you can use your imagination and start building. Grtz Saint

    Round gas pump?

Again, sorry will not happen again

    Round gas pump?

Sure, no problem. A Brick, Modified 2 x 4 x 1 1/3 with Curved Top and one without studs on their sides. on top a brick 1x1 with 2 studs on the sides, underneath a headlight brick closed of by a 2x3 plate. on 1 side a plate 1x1 with a clip and you'll have the basic form for a gaspump. You can add a jumperbrick on front, so you'll get a raised 1x2 plate with a meter of some sorts. Place a few 1x1 round bright orange plates on top for a little dohickey thing and I guess your done. I think that a 1x1 plate with some gage is nicer than making it more bulkey. Is that better ? I just tried placing links to bricklink, but I keep messing the urls up for some reason grtz Saint

    Round gas pump?

I really can't get the message over in English without painting him a clear picture. Round gas pump?

Well.... not 4 wide ?? That's difficult... have you tried 2x2 round ? some headlights and a nozzle .. perhaps that is something ? I Think that this might help.. making a SNOT connection on the underside with some of these . In that way you can still ad something in the front and perhapse on the side... Good luck !!
