  1. That's Sam, one of 2 cat's that we serve in this house. It's bigger than Sam, I tried to ad a turret to him, but he doesn't approve of this. ( something like Dinoriders, an obscure cartoon of the '80's I believe ) They don't bother me while building and they keep of the LEGO ( as long there's food ) Sweet cat's !
  2. Well, I've been working quite hard the past last days. I added armour plating and changed some things around : 1st : I changed the dome a bit, just took 1 plate thickness off, added some armour just to make it look buffed and added a search-target light. 2nd : Total armour plating except for some odd place , I left 4 1x1 round's as is, can you spot them ? 3th : Filled the gap above the rocket launchers 4th : Changed the base of the top laser mount. ( still thinking about changing the weapon as well ) Wow sorry for the larger than live photo .. C&C Welcome ! I just put the photo's on brickshelf, so I guess by tomorrow they'll be up then CCT 2 when modded by brickshelf Grtz Saint
  3. That's done Sorry for being such a NoOb sometime's
  4. Resized images from brickshelf I think these are better pictures.
  5. If you don't try... you don't get anything but broken parts
  6. Don't ! Send them to Lego , first contact the customer service desk and say you want to replace them. I did that with some troublesome technic pins a while back and every single one was replaced !
  7. Letmeseeifthisisanygood I just uploaded some other picture's to a new folder on BS, so I'll bee changing the 1st post asap. If i'm correct, you should see the picture in this post .
  8. Working on that ! @DobbyClone : It's a bigger better inproved AT-RT
  9. Scaling down is a bit of a problem, IMHO it's small as it is , plating could be better, but that will be adding more and more weight to the model.. and weakening the model as such .. so I think this is just right ;) If Lego only had a 1x4 cheeseslope , I would be happy !!
  10. Hi folks !! I want to participate in this cool competition as well !! I sat down just last Saturday and thought this up. It's Obi-Wan's personal AT-RT, ready for use in every battle where he wants to go . Great for droid stomping, fast walking shooting and other stuff those crazy Jedi's do !! Sold at your local Clone Wars War Shop this walker features fully functional legs, front armour against light laser fire , a small lasercannon , and a powercell in the back of the driver, this walker is a go anywhere vehicle ! Obi next to his new walker. Droid stomping day ! Obi-Wan and Fox take a look I leave you with the link to the full folder of this fun to build walker : Obi's walker On a personal note : my camera is going haywire here, it's locked itself on high-res and I can't figure out what to do about that, I hope this problem isn't to big for the jury, I do apologise up front for the large picture's on BS ! C&C is always welcome ! Grtz Saint
  11. Looks like there re-doing the site.. I visited the site a while back and it was still the same. Ik you look at the Rex fig, he appears to have a new weapon , or maybe it's just a custom. Can't speculate any further than that .
  12. I'm more into collecting the SW Figs. After hesitating somewhat I also started collecting the Clonewars figs. I missed out on a few sets , so it's far from complete. SW sets are the only sets I buy at this moment, I build them, break them down and do my MOC's with the parts. I only find it irritating that nowadays you get a lot of Anakin's and ObiWan's , I think TLC can do better. Models that stand out for me are on a shelf display, or stored away, to be used on a latter date. USC models don't do it for me, I've only got a few, despite how nice they are, there to much money for me. Yes you're right about the part-money ratio .. it's wayyyyyyy off .. here in the Netherlands it's even worse, no Legostore's and no chance of ever getting one here, so no loose bricks via pick-a-brick , unless you feel like a 200 km drive towards Germany ( Even worse for other people, better for some close to the border ) And no promo actions ! ! So Bricklinking is still the best option here in my humble opinion, I always start out with checking the SW-figs in a store, after that I check the rest for parts. I bought the promo darth Vader via Bricklink, at a ridiculous price, but hey, I wanted it .
  13. Hm .. yes .. the "real" one .... ( digs up picture ) Looking at the amazing cross section picture you can clearly see that the model has 2 layers inside , but nothing to fancy , a very low 1st deck where clone troopers sit and a bit larger one for command/ gunners etc.. I already took a few looks at it ( and other picture's ) and I find that it will be harder to put that to scale than rather just make up something myself. There's mention of speeders in/ on a CCT , ( like in a AT-AT ) but I can't find them, also there's mention of several versions of CCT's adapted for uses around the galaxy , so I think I'll be safe getting those speeders aboard *let's just say this CCT is involved in another campaign . I guess I'm pretty much on target with the look, feel and scale to the minifig and it's possible to get 2 decks inside, like I said before, maybe just a cockpit or a little other thing super detailed. Can't be sure for now AND I've got to think about the weight of the model, after all , it rests on 10 technic axles( hull to wheels ) so it takes a lot of strain . And no support from bricks , it rolls pretty good right now So , I'll be finishing up the phase 2 of my CCT first, like you suggested Brickdocter, taking that stage of the model to the BELUG meeting. I won't be picking up large amounts of bricks there ( It's more a model day than that there's selling, witch is great ! ) . After that , I want to go back to sorting my LEGO, summer is coming and I can work in my hobby area again ! I will be picking apart my SW models with bley in them, so that will give me something to work with . Relatively speaking, I'm at the end of my bley ( usable parts for the CCT ) and I can't do much more for now. Just a couple of more days before I finish this stage
  14. Not quite sure yet, I want some speeders inside , that's for sure, no BARC'S , but some MOC one's. I'll see when I get there .
  15. I can see the fun in that.. I did that to the Blacktronia after a years building .. lets just say I was frustrated a bit at that moment ( was after LegoWorld '06 ). I'm building it on the ground floor of the house, when finished, the CCT will be moving to a save place for the time being .. I roll it to the building area, ( our smaller table for now )take out 2 wheels, put it on the table, put the 2 wheels back, build or adjust accordingly , same process for putting it back into place. I did a lot of work at my work, but as the model grew, I knew I had to take it home .. so I did some small adjustments in order to keep it together. ( Viva el rubber bandoooo !!! ). Like I said before, the model can be broken down for transport, wheels, lower and upper body , turret, lookout post and smaller items on the model. So I think that will be as safe as possible when I do some shows in the future.
  16. Thank you I'm very pleased with the fact that you think I kicked LEGO's butt I'm now in the process of adding all tile to the model, and you're right, I came to the same conclusion : the turret is a bit to big for my taste too. As for now, in this stage I won't make pictures before I'm done with phase 2 , it will not take long , just watch this topic Ps : thanks ! I added a dictionary on my PC after that , and my typos are better now ! Now the dictionary can't recognise them either
  17. I like your sergeant Smash ! Very nice and original fig ! I couldn't make out the snake at first , I think it will work better in some brighter colouring ( I know that will be difficult ) . Are those floating rocks ? Then try to keep the trans-clear parts to a minimum.. Get those clone's in the line of sight rule while shooting their weapons, that's a nit-pick-thing . After saying that : It's 98 % perfect !! You're very creative !!
  18. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings here, but, I think a 5000 parts isn't going a long way .. That's approximately the amount of technic pins I have in stock, not counting the one's in MOC or models.I can't start by guessing the number of parts I've collected over the years. But it isn't the part-count , it's what you do with your LEGO. It's all about being happy with what you got, what you want and what you want to do.. nothing more, nothing less. I'm a big LEGO addict, and I tend to build big things, I like SW figs , I like blacktron I figs, I do have a lot of Lego because I like LEGO, I buy a lot of LEGO because I can. ( In a sensible way of course ) There is for a lot of us AFOL's no limit to the number of bricks , just the limit of our imagination, or what we can or can't achieve with our bricks. It maybe silly to say it, but I want that next box or part or that particular colour, I strive to perfect my MOC's and will take a lot of effort for that fact.
  19. They are not designed to be removed. I've got a nice stack of 4x6 technic with open centres with 2 of those pins stuck to them. The trick is , the end is raised and the rest is like a normal pin, so the middle is raised too .
  20. Hi !! Welcome here ! Message for the Mrs : He needs it !!
  21. Never ! My collection keeps expanding somehow .. And still I keep building stuff that requires just that part I just don't have enough of . A proportion of that I'll find afterwards .. perhaps I should start separating my LEGO into smaller bins I did that once.. but I keep forgetting to do that after I build something ... now it's almost sorted by colour. Grtz Saint
  22. Squeeze the raised parts in with small pliers, gently wiggle the pin out.. best to lock the part in place with something.. tried that myself and that works like a charm. Just remember you can't use the pins any more. grtz Saint
  23. No problem here just some humble thanks from your side , half your collection of ceramic cats and a home made applepie would do the trick ( just kidding folks )
  24. Nice ! I for one like to see where this is going ! Having taken the trubble of using google I found that the CCT is larger than Wookipedia wrong... artist impressoins make it larger than that .. ( only found 4 picture's beside a lot of CCT lego set's ) Saying that, just don't think anything of what I say, just follow your gut and you'll be fine !!! Grtz Saint
  25. Hi Folks ! Thanks for all the heart-warming comments !!! I'm in the proces of adding / changing the CTT now, I'm going for the smooth-armour look like the good docter suggested. That will be fase 2. Fase 3 is a bit more tricky, adding some or all interieur to the CCT , got some ideas, but as info goes, everything is a bit sketchy ... some suggest this, other suggest that.. Well, I think I'll start on the cockpits first, then start my way to the middel section.. Again, many thanks !! grtz Saint ( feel free to ask me anything about the model of course )
