  1. Yeah I figure it doesn't. Probably just detaches if anything or is permanently fixed in position similar to the UCS Falcon, which is fine I guess.
  2. First pics of the Crest have leaked. It looks incredible. I can't wait to see the interior. The Blurrg is difficult to make out, but it looks a little underwhelming. I'm also curious to see if the landing gear is retractable. I'd guess not, but it'd be pretty cool if it's a function they were able to work in.
  3. "I have to admit, my trust in [leakers] has been shaken."
  4. So, is the Royal Sea Leopard the ship some thought would be the $500 D2C before?
  5. Disagreement doesn't equal sensitivity, but in fairness my "wow" and questions might have given that vibe. "Garbage" and like-rhetoric before you've seen the model apart from the other details is just strange to me. UCS sets are mostly about the model for me; figs and brick-built creatures are secondary at best. I'll personally wait to actually see the set, but respect if stickers, figs, and price are deal-breakers. Also, I'm in my mid-30's, married, and father of 3, so "kid" is a bit of an odd title. Yep. It depends on the piece count devoted to it, but I think this could look really cool.
  6. Wow... haven't seen anything yet and it's already garbage? Maybe wait for the thing to be released? Stickers are a definite pain, but I'd give it a look before I ruled it out entirely.
  7. Really glad they decided not to do a display stand, re-directing pieces and budget to other places. I can't wait to see the Blurrg!
  8. My range of emotions currently waiting impatiently for/imagining pictures of the Razor Crest. Can't wait to see this model.
  9. Even envisioning that set sounds far better than the one LEGO produced. Continuity with other busts, affordability, and less superfluity regarding parts.
  10. Thanks. This will be a really interesting rest of 2022.
  11. So, no $500 BP vehicle anymore, Hulkbuster is now $500+, and it will likely be released next year?
  12. I'm guessing the second option is most likely, if the leakers on this forum are as accurate as they usually are.
  13. Yeah, really confused. No Hulkbuster would be a huge bummer.
  14. I was wondering if anyone was going for a day 1 purchase. I'm waiting for a 2x points day, but I will definitely be picking it up. Happy building!
  15. That's great. What do you search to find Black Falcons on PAB? I can't seem to find any
  16. Yes, I am in the camp of desiring clone war stuff, and prequel stuff in general. So many sets they could churn out that I'd buy most likely... UCS Podracers, Zam's Speeder chase, Jango's Slave 1... the list goes on. I have to imagine LEGO is going to release a bunch of PT sets in the coming years as the well of OT runs dry. Then again, nothing seems to prevent perpetual re-releases of OT stuff lol
  17. Well, I'm completely dumbfounded. Uncertainty is at an all time high, but so is excitement. I can't remember the last time there was a price point like this in a theme I enjoy collecting with the info we currently have and I still have no clue what it is. Also, I've never understood leaker methodology with this sort of thing. If you can say, "It's not this, this, this, or this, and it is like this, but few people will like it..." but not reveal any more, what prevents more clarity? Not saying they have an imperative to reveal more or anything, just trying to understand the methodology. Thanks for any help!
  18. I think this list is great. I'm most excited to see what the Clone helmets look like. I love the helmet collection. Also really curious to see what the now $230 UCS set is.
  19. I agree. There's nothing else they'd need to represent other than a small fin on the top of his head, and I don't think they'd have an entire separate piece for that.
  20. The guy in the video ^^ has some good points. The set suffers from a bit of an identity crisis, but I'm still convinced it does well as a display set, which is what it is primarily. I'm fairly certain I'll be picking it up... then again I want to see what the $500 Marvel (DC?) set is, as well as seeing the Hulkbuster and the Eiffel Tower before I make a final choice. So much to choose from, and not much money to go around these days...
  21. Agreed. I don't have a problem with diversifying LEGO figs in sets (and I really think that's the reason the figs that got chosen made it in), but when it's at the expense of figs that make a lot more sense and people really want, it's pointless. Most everyone's upset. Good job, LEGO.
  22. I get the sense many were expecting this thing to be more playable than it's supposed to be. Like, more wagons, narrower track to be compatible with current train sets and be able to move said wagons around, a motor to be self-propelled, a larger portion of KC, etc. I wish it had all these things, but frankly that's not the point of this set. At least, I have a hard time believing that's the point of it from what I can see so far. For what it is - a display model - it satisfies the requirements of looking great and realistic as a static piece. Gripes about the price and minifigure choices and unbelievably careless plaque errors are justified, but I can't say the same for gripes about compatibility and playability. It's just not what this set was made to be. Making the suggested and desired changes would either make it too expensive for most (by adding more to KC and another cart or two - probably pushing it into the $650 range?) or not large enough to be sufficiently detailed (shrinking it to fit current LEGO train tracks).
  23. Would anyone dare buy two copies? Some of the common complaints are bring directed at there being only one cab and 9 & 3/4 platform being too small...
