LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Stefanisimo replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
As much as this Hoth battle pack makes sense businesswise, if the second one (in case it exists) isn't Mando based with some Dark troopers then something is just off. To release Gideon's cruiser with a single trooper at that price range just doesn't sit right with me. Also, every time Lego released a single new and exciting trooper (Sith troopers come to mind) they almost always showed up in a battle pack later. Whereas stuff such as the Shore troopers, Solo range troopers, Death troopers (The battle pack ones are different) which they didn't plan on releasing again in the future, they made sure to put 2 of in the sets so I'm kinda optimistic here. -

Although I was hoping for something Clone Wars S7 based, this does sound nice. However 20 euros? Yikes, battle packs here go for that much already lol -

Didn't even know about this new piece, definitely seems like a possibility! Now imagine if they print a few thin orange streaks on that piece. Lego clearly loves Fennec, alright. -

Wow, that Fennec is absolutely perfect. It's crazy how Lego can outdo themselves like this at times. Curious to see what hairpiece is included, after all she didn't wear the helmet at all in that final episode if I'm not mistaken. I'll reserve my judgement on the armorer until better pictures drop but I must say I don't like how the print is too low. Also, what's with the lack of cloth pieces lol. She needed it more than any character they've done. The Solo range troopers get it, why not the Armorer? Paz looks gorgeous as well. -

Not me! I was just making a joke. I actually really love it when such amazing figures are in multiple sets you would buy because it allows me to display them in multiple settings (For example the new Ahsoka) That's also one of the reasons I am disappointed we didn't get Captain Rex in these new Siege of Mandalore themed sets even though I have the 2013 one. A Dark trooper would be ideal honestly. Unless they are planning a battle pack with them in January. If that mold was developed only to be featured once in a single expensive set then I would be really disappointed. -

Possible but I doubt it would be a new one. I think advent calendars are limited to 2 new printed pieces and Mando and Grogu already use that up. As much as Cobb Vanth would have been a perfect choice (Similar to Antoc Merrick a few years ago) I doubt we will get him. That's true. But what other set would make sense to be hyped up for the reveal like this? Hey, look at this exclusive 30$ Forge, the 4th set to feature your favorite character - Beskar Mando. And if you preorder now, you'll get this amazing farm boy Luke polybag, you know, cause the game won't release anytime soon and we have to get rid of these. Jokes aside, honestly, I'm really curious to see what they have planned for this. 19 days to go I guess -

Unless that additional set of which we know nothing about is something that special and warrants a reveal as advertised, not revealing the UCS Gunship then would really be an extremely stupid idea. And the AT-AT wouldn't make sense if it releases later. -

Yes. Yes they are. @TeddytheSpoon perfectly summed up my opinion so I will leave this whole discussion at that. On another note, there was 1 more rumored set to be coming, other than the Forge? Anybody knows anything about that, or is it another unknown exclusive? -
That would honestly be an amazing thing! I don't really expect they will do it, but we'll have to wait and see. I think so! Though, I reckon a huge amount of pieces will go towards a display stand. Lego seems to be going in that direction with a lot of the 18+ sets. Just look at the recently revealed Darth Vaders' meditation chamber. The stand has more pieces than the build by the looks of it. There will also be a huge number of very small pieces to make the ship a lot detailed I presume. I also wonder what will they use for the cables that run from the bow and connect both masts. If they even include these?

Wow, what an amazing wave! Just imagine if someone told us a few years back that there will be an entire summer wave without a single movie set, crazy. There is Vader's meditation chamber but it's an exclusive 18+ set so that doesn't really count I guess. That Throne room build is actually amazing, much better than I thought. I absolutely love the glass build behind it. The prison cell is the best they could have done without a new mold so I don't have complaints there. The Mandalorian fighter is perfect for the size, so glad we are getting this set. Gar Saxon and Bo Katan are perfect As for the Slave I, interesting to see it's actually based on Mando. A surprise to be sure. I recently got the UCS version and while I knew this new one won't be able to match it in any way, I was wrong on one account. Boba has arm printing! Of course it's a different thing considering it's his Mando S2 look but I just find it funny cause I gave it some thought lol. So glad they did that cause he looks spectacular and now I can display both of them with it. As for the helmet, well, it took us 1+ years to get a perfect Din, Boba's helmet will get upgraded eventually. At least the first version has arm printing! Also, I'm so happy I got the Brickarms dual molded gaffi stick back in 2015/16 when I had no idea what that thing even was! I knew it would come in handy one day, and now I have the perfect figure to display it with! The Arquitens looks nice as well. Is it just me or is the bridge a bit bulkier than the rest of the build? It might be the angle, guess we will have to see. Can anyone confirm if Gideon has a double sided cape? I really hope that's the case. As for the Dark Saber... I really hope there is a CMF so it can get proper treatment like the Sword of Gryffindor did. That would be perfect honestly, it's the sole major thing we are missing from season 1. You do realize she is responsible for that same Mandalorian you love? And Clone Wars S7, and everything else... -
There finally appears to be some new info about this set. Looks like it will be 630$, and wow that's a lot more than I expected. A lot more. It might even be the biggest set, I am really curious to see the piece count. Though I am not sure how I feel about this, I was expecting it to be somewhere around 200-300$. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but this would be the 3rd most expensive set ever, the first 2 being Star Wars sets. And to think I have been waiting for this set since I was 10 years old, crazy stuff. But now one question remains, how the hell am I supposed to afford this

Well this ain't no 700$ Star Destroyer, why would you expect something like that in this very cheap and affordable display stand?!? -

There appears to be a leaked catalog page showing some Technic sets in pretty good quality as well. If the catalogs are starting to show up in the wild, could this mean we will be seeing pictures sooner rather than later? -

I think releasing a Beskar Mando without arm printing would be one of the dumbest decision ever and I don't think we will get one in the summer wave. He just looks too plain without it, and to release a 150 euro set with a major downgrade of a character would look very cheap. Whereas Vader has worked perfectly fine without arm printing for 20+ years, Mando simply would not. I would only forgive them if they reallocated some of that budged so we could finally have a dark saber mold -

I mean, we shouldn't really dismiss the idea that we aren't getting that piece. After all minifigure leaks tend to be isolated from regular pieces in the set, do they not? And this person might have just grabbed Ahsoka's hilt piece, what they presumed to be Maul's, and just stuck the red blades. -

Wow, that Maul looks amazing! I'm most excited to see this set, hopefully Ahsoka has at least the Togruta piece with fixed printing that's not too high! -

It can be a way of analyzing the market and getting some input on what people want, minifigures not necessarily intended to be included in the fan vote set. Also, they probably had some ideas for who to include if they were already thinking about the sets, so it can be a way for them to see how their ideas and thoughts align with those of the general audience. -

This makes me worried about potential clone captains/commanders in the future. Imagine if we finally get an updated Rex only for him to have that silly kama print just on the front of his legs. -

Wrecker's armor works like all the regular armor pieces. It's just that the chest plate is very thin so it's hard to see from the provided pictures. -

Technically, these are the ones introduced in 2008 with Indiana Jones. They are a bit longer and are a harder plastic. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=62885&name=Minifigure, Weapon Gun, Pistol Automatic Medium Barrel (Indiana Jones)&category=[Minifigure, Weapon]#T=S&O={"iconly":0} All of these minifigures look absolutely gorgeous Can anyone confirm if Tech's visor is movable? It's up on all of the pictures. I guess it would have had to be 2 pieces like the regular helmets for it to be posable. -

Probably a stormtrooper? Maybe the flametrooper? Honestly I really hope it's the flametrooper since we are already getting the mortar trooper. Really pleasantly surprised with this set, looking forward to the Armorer! Imagine how cool would it be if Mando came without the Mudhorn print on his arm. That would make for an interesting variant actually. -

Exactly this. If they didn't want people discussing that, they wouldn't have left out Crosshair from the trailer like they did. He's nowhere to be seen when they are escaping from Kamino, when they're with Rex and Saw. If pretty much every piece of promotional material looks like this, then we can't really pretend like they didn't want to plant this seed beforehand.
