You know what, I'll take it, seeing as this is the first time all have been included in one set. Actually, if Groot is well done, Drax gets a new torso, Star Lord gets his helmet, and Gamora gets a new outfit, I'd say that's one of the best possible outcomes for this set. Now they may very well not do that--I kind of anticipate no Star Lord helmet, but regardless of whether or not they do Ravager suits, they probably will have to create new torsos for everyone, like the original set. All things considered, I expect this to be one of the best Marvel sets of all time, easy top ten. Actually, on that note, what are the best Marvel sets? It will probably be a while until we see the sets, and I know the HP thread does this occasionally. I think that in no particular order, my list would go something to the effect of the Bugle, the Sanctum, the Tower, the Benatar, the NWH Final Battle, the airport battle, the Helicarrier, one of the two newest Quinjets, maybe the Hall of Armor or Spiderman Bridge battle, and possibly the BP bust--it was a weird pick for a set, but the build wasn't bad. (Also, @Mandalorianknight and @Scarilian, the size of the two ships are probably outside the scope of my building ability, but I may give the Milano a shot) -

Relatively random question, does anyone have any idea what the dimensions of the Milano and the Benatar are? I've been thinking about the logistics of potentially designing minifig scale versions of them, and although they don't look much bigger than most Star Wars freighters, they seem to be canonically enormous. -

I've only seen two or three comments actually hating on Fives, seems like most of the people over there seem moderately happy. You got any links? I'm willing to bet I may be wrong. -

I still am sketch on this whole "multiple eyes" thing given LifeBricks's record. I get it's the only piece of info we know, but I don't think we should be basing all of our speculation on it. -
Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Some thoughts: First of all, I don't have any idea what the D2C is going to be. My first instinct was to assume it's a Bat-vehicle, but given that we already have the D2C from that theme and it seems like Marvel is more likely to be the one that gets two. I highly doubt it's a building, given that at that piece count, it would either have to be open-backed or rather small, plus we're already getting the X-mansion, and we'll have what, four giant buildings available as of next year, until the Bugle's inevitable retirement. I'd bet against a vehicle as well, given the Milano, and it seems like the only major alternative option is a UCS style quinjet, but we already have a high quality quinjet going right now. Maybe the Sanctuary 2 or a Chitauri Leviathian? Neither seem like they would have a big audience either. Frankly, of the ideas pitched, I'd be most inclined to say a giant sentinel, but even that feels unlikely as that probably does not really even need to be that big, and the idea of two X-Men D2Cs happening in the same year seems highly unlikely. My money is on something like a buildable object or wild card like the Black Panther bust--Iron Man bust, anyone? I really cannot think of many buildable objects left that make much sense--most of them could be done as helmets, or are probably a bit too niche or weird, like a Dr. Strange cape and Eye. Hawkeye's bow is probably the most iconic weapon left of the original Avengers, but that doesn't make much sense to me given that it's a (somewhat) realistic weapon, and isn't nearly as iconic on its own the way that Mjolnir and the shield are. Second of all, the Milano--it is, as of now, the set for which I am most excited this year. The Benatar is possibly the best non-D2C Marvel set they've made, and given that this is 200 pieces larger, I'm expecting it to be at least on par with that set, and hopefully with a slightly expanded interior. I think a stand is pretty much guaranteed with this as well. I have been debating on the 1500 piece one for a while, as it is a fantastic build, but since this has around 500 more pieces, I will be waiting for this to come out first. Definitely expecting it to blow the previous builds out of the water too, as we have really never had a great version of the Milano before. Minifigure-wise, I've been thinking about if the Warbird may have had any impact on the set figure selection, but I kind of doubt that it will--my guess that it is designed as a companion and a cheap way to get Ronan after the set comes out. It seems unlikely that they throw Ronan into the build, although it is certainly not impossible. I also kind of anticipate a new version of Rocket's 2014 suit as well, seeing as it has been quite a while since they have done that. Realistically, I think we can expect a helmet-less, reused Star Lord, a new Gamora, a new torso for Drax, a new torso for Rocket, and Groot in some capacity--I have seen some suggestion that he could use the tall legs, but it's also possible they leave him out and just throw in a potted plant. The ultimate-but-still-fairly-realistic figure selection is of course new versions of the main Guardians, or at least a rerelease of Star Lord's helmet and new versions of the other four, plus some combination of Yondu, Kraglin, Ronan, Nebula, or some Nova Corps executive, assuming they don't sneakily cover bits of Vol. 2. The terrible option is reused figures and an incomplete Guardians roster, but I hope we don't see that, and kind of doubt we will. Also, it had better have the orb and stereo, but other than that, the interior probably does not need much other than some chairs and wall detailing. -

Honestly, it would be really funny and kind of a neat homage to the original toy line if they did base it off the original Kenner Death Star. I wasn't around when the originals came out, but I have fond memories of getting to play with my dad and uncle's Star Wars sets and figures. I doubt they would though, given likely copyright restrictions. On the other hand, if I remember correctly, didn't the sandspeeder come from a random canceled Kenner set? Also, does anyone know if the 800 piece count has been confirmed to be incorrect? -

Alright, whose gonna make the "Eating Deadpool bet" More seriously, I'm not so sure I love the idea of getting more sets like last year's Endgame diorama. It's a neat one-off, but I'm not so sure that the way they went with it was the right way to go about it--a pile of rubble can only get you so far with a diorama. I think it could be moderately more interesting with more defined locations, items, or structures, like the No Way Home sets, but I also think and kind of hope it stays limited in that regard. I'd be up for some GotG2 sets like the finale or the opening vs the Abilisk that might be interesting, but I really cannot think of others that would be much more than fig packs--even the fight on Titan in IW doesn't really make a lot of sense to me. Honestly, a collection of small vehicles and builds might even be a better pick for the AoU and 2012 final battle sets. -

Follow up, I also think LifeBricks has a fairly sketchy record as a leaker (I cannot think of any specific examples, can anyone else confirm?), so I don't know how much we should be trusting the buildable creature with more than two eyes as a reliable rumor or take it as fact. -

Anyone think there's any chance we get one of Yularen, Tarkin, or Motti in the conference room as a surprise addition? It seems like at least Motti should be there given I think he's probably one of the most important missing ANH characters, and seeing how Tarkin is relatively important as well plus has a huge aftermarket tag, it makes sense for him as well. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there's a big chance of that unless the Imperial Officer is one of them or the leakers missed something, which seems unlikely. -

https://brickset.com/article/103336/first-2023-ideas-review-results-to-be-published-tomorrow Alright, here are my bets. These are almost all really good builds, but I think only a couple have a chance. I am, however, prepared to be wrong. -

Well, I think he has a white band on his arm, so I'm gonna plead my case: Falcon’s third anniversary figure hints Peaceful--has killed a stormtrooper in self defense, but lived a life of luxury after that. Also, the Wookiepedia legends page specifically says that he decided to take it easy. Something we thought we’d never see Not a main character Color white in outfit--armband, though admittedly small, plus iconic ice cream machine Live action Controversial In Star Wars community at large--to an extent. Human Has hair Has O in name Assume would it would come in set but wouldn’t in said set--Betrayal on Cloud City Tied to an object or vehicle--Extremely. The character is known as Ice Cream Guy Could shoot Could drive Honda civic Strange look on the street but known name Lived a peaceful life Planet would give it away They have a lot of range--check out the actor--https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Egbert_Sen Look, it's a long shot, and there are a couple things that don't make sense, but I'd bet on WH above anyone else so far. -
