  1. I agree. I hope we can get rid of the minifigure, who shall remain nameless, in this round... Also, down with the Queen! Down with the monarchy! Long live the bagpiper and diver!!!
  2. Dunno, Lady Liberty has a lot of fans. If I recall correctly she has won with big margins every single time. It'll be fun to see what happens.
  3. I've seen people who don't usually collect Lego find Vacation Batman to be pretty amazing. He was one of the most popular figs from TLBM series. I'd say Batman is iconic enough that people recognize him, and like the caricature represented in the figure. Honestly, it's one of my favorite CMFs.
  4. First time I'm voting for the scarecrow, and first time I'm voting against the spartan. Also my first time betraying space, but I just looove vacation Batman!
  5. Yes, I fit them standing up. It's a little hard to describe, but I sort of have two "rows" per each compartment, and I alternate left and right as I place the minifigs in the compartment. The clearance is pretty good, but I can't remember exactly how much it is. I can tell you even Medusa has enough clearance. With some figures I've had to place them diagonally, but honestly I've been able to fit most of my figures in those boxes.
  6. I think I have a very space effective solution. It doesn't take that much space, it's relatively cost effective, it protects my minifigs from scratching, and I can find any minifig I want and take it out with relative ease. First, I store each minifigure in 2x3 in. zip baggies. I use and recommend polypropylene bags. I use the archival safe ones from clearbags.com. Then, I place them in these boxes: https://www.containerstore.com/s/garage/parts-boxes/6-compartment-clear-box/12d?productId=10009771 I place the minifigs standing up in line, in each of the 6 compartments. Each compartment fits around 20 minifigs, so I get ~120 minifigs per box. Most of them have a good amount of clearance from the top lid, but some oversized figs (like the Toy Story ones) I do store separately. The bags prevent the scratching and the wearing off the prints, and the boxes provide good protection and organization. Finally, I store them in a dark place to prevent UV damage. Hope this helps!
  7. I think it bothers me that there are "teeth" on the mask of that classic Iron Man. Hopefully we'll get a more serious, non-Mighty Micro version of it in the future.
  8. As a huge BTTF fan I'd be lining up on day 1 to get the figures, but there is no way I am that lucky. We didn't even get any extra BTTF sets and sadly the BTTF hype has gone down a bit since 2015. At this point I think it'll be HP/Fantastic Beasts related, unless it's denied by any of our sources. And I'd love one of those, by the way. Some great wizards and witches never got minifigures.
  9. I know right???? Anyways, this round I'm rooting for Lady Liberty and the Mariachi. And I sincerely hope at least one non-historic figure gets to the final round. It would be a sight for sore eyes!
  10. Well, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a special, more limited release similar to those, and I imagine it would be a hit in the UK. I wouldn't expect it to take one of the regular slots, though. But I agree with you there. It's actually pretty crazy how some of those series were more expensive than the regular ones in the secondary market.
  11. Indeed. The lineup for the next round is already starting to look as though it was handpicked by historical/fantasy fans. Although this is just a game, I'd like to know how the game would have gone with a more uniform representation of the fans at Eurobricks.
  12. Wow, that looks pretty good! I'll keep it in mind if we don't see an official release. Do they pad print?
  13. Sure. But Lego's market is not a single country. I imagine the popularity varies by area, but Lego would probably devote a series only to something that is popular enough worldwide. Honestly, I've lived in different countries and never found Dr. Who being super popular in any of them, at least with kids. Granted, I'm no pollster.
  14. ^Thanks for sharing! I definitely enjoyed that video quite a bit.
  15. Pretty sure most of them would go "Dr... Who?"
  16. Aztec warrior and Fairytale Princess for me. And wow, that Gargoyle is destroying the tennis player!
  17. The main reason I'll be disappointed if there is no SDCC exclusive minifig is that I was hoping for a homemade suit for Spidey. Granted, I wouldn't mind it if he came in a polybag. Keeping my fingers crossed to see him at some point down the line.
  18. The galactic girl was the spoiler that denied retro spaceman his classification... So I'm glad he's with a vengeance! Looks like I'm voting for the losers on this round. But most of my favorites are long gone, so I don't mind.
  19. Interesting if true. I wonder what will happen to the value of the old SDCC exclusives if this happens. We'll see. As mentioned, they might have been talking just about the BrickHeadz.
  20. This time we agree! Also, with my vote the Plant Monster edges the Paleontologist. My picks for this round are easily the elf and the queen. Never really cared as much for the rogue as other people, and to me the Fortune Teller is out of place in round 3.
