Well, 3in1 already covers the bigger City houses. And no Coast Guard was to be expected after last years Ocean Exploration. -

Stunt has to be really good to persuade me, but count me in for Wildlife rescue. And Ninjago goes for another Water/Island theme, could be interesting for some of us with amusement parks. The interesting thin is that they are deviating from the usual rhythm quite a lot in 2021. https://www.promobricks.de/lego-neuheiten-2021-2-halbjahr/115231/?fbclid=IwAR1bdZlylmo2YfK74FD0Gkb2LFgpUQH_cib71vU9FUPDYI7herU78ioTzbM -

That is actually Brexit in Real Life. And it may even get worse as long as 10 does not get its act together.

Does El Corte Inglese not offer quite some of the higher up sets via its online business in Portugal? @Prints Prints of the first run of a new mold series can be quite hit and miss until the machines are calibrated, simply ask for a replacement if it is really bad. -
Looks like the original had only one stud connected.

The car seems to be a mixture between a 53 Pontiac and a 59 Corvette https://www.automall-online.com/oc-content/uploads/129/275434.jpg http://ipocars.com/imgs/a/d/r/f/p/pontiac__chieftain_deluxe_vintage_approval_1953_1_lgw.jpg

Müller in Germany from today on allows for preordering the new sets. It says that in two days you can start picking them up at the shop. Prices are SRP. I will probably wait a few days for the first new set deals and then use my Müller coupouns for getting one of the new street sets. -

The problem is: Your design is a very rare exception and not the rule and still you argue like many would have the same problem. We have over 100 members in our Lego club an some have really huge layouts and mountains of bricks and nearly everyone considers your layout being very extreme. Regarding the plates: Even with really heavy buildings you could reduce the number of plates without compromising structural integrity. So this is rather a matter of personal preference and not structural necessity. If You could stop considering your standards being universal we could have a much nicer discussion. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

AS is the only way to do an inverted corner without suffering all the drawbacks coming with a normal inverted corner. Even in real life such inverted corner buildings are quite rare. -

The last time i checked foam- and cardboard had standard-sizes that made it quite easy to use them as stand-ins. And maybe you calm down a bit. Your layout is a 1 in a million exception so not the standard one would normally consider when designing such sets. Leaving the roads out of the sets would not decrease the price by much, definitely not by 20 or 15$, rather fewer, more like 10 to 5$. Besides, the last time someone asked we got told that the old plates are not EOL. So it is to early to sing their swansong. Right now it is an assumption, nothing more, that the will be phased out. -
LEGO Hidden Side 2020

I expect prices to rise quite a bit for the sets in the future. The sets are really good most of the times and since only a limited number was made due to the short run demand will be there once people realise what they missed. -
The double-length straight tracks from Trixbricks are also great, have the whole 10 track set here and color is very close.

Actually the streets do not increase the price as much as some think. Technically design and packing are the most expensive parts of a set and once this is done adding some extra plates does not add much to the price. As mentioned above the sets do not deviate much from older sets regarding the price. But the new sets have the advantage of tying together seperate sets and wetting the appetite for the new streets, which in the end increases the play value for kids a lot. The ramps are a nice Bonus. Since they never know whether someone already has a street set, including them is the safest bet. It‘s the seperator brick of the streets in its own way. -

Actually you can raise buildings with little cost with foamboard or cardboard, so I do not see where thousands of dollars for raising them would come from. And that´s something which has been done during exhibitions for ages... Streets were included in quite some sets in the pre-2000s and sets without streets is a rather recent thing. So I am quite happy to see them return. Including the streets in new sets is quite logical, since that´s the best way to let customers experience them without them having to pay extra for the street set. -

Well, unfortunatly Mould King is Not only the King of Stolen MOCs, but also quite good at copying Lego Sets. Monarch Star Destroyer anyone? -
And they have a very dark past in the model car business. Probably the reason why they switched to bricks. And the MoCers could only choose between getting nothing or a tiny sum and giving up all rights to the design.

Also, with the new streets we get back more floor area since the times when they switched to minimalist basing and we get street elements with sets which in the past were to small to get street plates. In the end we will need to buy fewer street sets than in the past to get the same distance. -

With the usual discounts the City Center is quite fair and the dojo is still acceptable in depth for what it is. I hope for transit system buildings and cars, quite some time has passed since we had the last City Bus, Train Station etc. Modular Streets will allow for quite some interesting new designs.
