2nd page, about 3/4 of the way down, he gives a bit of insight into other sets as well, like how a green prototype of Cole’s sky bound dragon sat on top of the concept models... in other news, another teaser for vidyo was revealed... all I can say is I’m confused. Am I allowed to show the screen shot here? I know it’s off topic, but it is rather strange. For context, it’s a flame orange minifig with a lama head mold, holding some maracas and wearing sun glasses. Interested to see what they do!

Nicholas vas and Christopher stamp worked on ninjago city, but I can’t find any info on the docks, but judging in how similar they are design wise, I would think that they both worked on it. In an interview with the designer of the spring lantern festival, Justin Ramsden told brickset that the pond area with the water tiles and the layering to create depth was a tribute to Nicholas vas, who designed ninjago city. This means that Nicholas probably designed the water ways along with the main city, and as the water ways are the same for the docks, I think it’s safe to say that he also worked on ninjago city docks.

I’m still waiting for the gardens press release. TLG know we have seen the set, why don’t they just reveal it now? What’s the general amount of time between when a D2C set has been revealed and when it actually releases? I’m hoping they don’t pull a diagon ally on us. I really wanna see the back of the gardens!

I’m interested to see how it actually looks. I envision it in 2 ways, 1 where the deck is covered and 1 where the deck is open. If they leave the front deck open, it’ll look like the bounty but I’m not sure how it would be functional wise, especially in the show. It could function like the Japanese submarine aircraft carriers from WW2, but that would mean giving up space for other vehicles. If they keep the deck coved, like a large dome not only will it look odd but it won’t necessarily feel like the bounty. I’m also wondering what play features they could do, as the bounty’s main one is to convert from ship mode to fly mode, but it won’t sail and it won’t fly if it’s a submarine. Another route they could do is like a crawler build, like a large armoured bug that crawls along the sea floor. I think this would be highly unlikely though, as it won’t be much of a bounty at all. Can’t wait to see pics of it!

Ok so I just finished watching ashnflash’s stream about the ninjago city gardens, where he points out a bunch of cool things, and at the end, he emphasised that there was a ‘statue’ that we couldn’t see in the main picture. The chat starts freaking out and he says he can neither confirm or deny the guesses that chat is doing. I think we can all see where this is going? I believe that there is a titanium zane statue on the back side of the gardens, and to have this info, he must of already gotten the set or better pictures of it through LAN. He also emphasised that he did have a ‘large build’. Any ideas?

It will be able to connect, and I know how you feel about missing out on the first 2 sets.... Lego regrets! Gonna pick this up day 1, when is the press release though? Do you think it’s gonna be like diagon ally and be on January 13th? Also, hydro bounty sounds intriguing, but I’m more interested in how the suits are gonna look? Maybe a full body suit and a diver helmet? But from what we have seen on the back of the legacy boxes, I’ve got a feeling it’s gonna look like nya’s avatar from the gamers market.

Doesn’t Lego usually reveal stuff on Fridays?or am I just a bit dazed by the whole ‘gardens set leaked early’ drama. Either way, most of us on this forum still have to wait till the 14th. Any ideas if members of LAN will get this set early for a review?

Where is his info from? Also is this time meaning 9 in the morning or in the evening? Looks like morning but it’s past that time... just wondering if we can locate the source and clarify if it’s true or not. Or we can just wait and see. Either way, do you think Lego’s just gonna put it up on their website or do you think it’s gonna have a press release?

Ok, so I took a look at the new bonsai tree set that was revealed, do you think it’s possible to swap out the leaves of the tree at the base of the city to have the cherry blossom ones? Just a thought

I’ve been taking a bit of a break from eurobricks, and I still will be but after seeing this, I have to say, this set is incredible. The mini figs are a bit underwhelming, but as with what dark lord sauron said, it feels too open. It’s meant to have 1000 pieces more, yet it looks like they just took the parts from the centre of the build, built a pagoda and attached it to the side. Ninjago city was very clustered, but with clear lines which buildings were what. This one doesn’t, and with the various heights of the bottom walkway, this just feels like a bit of a mess. Still buying it day 1, but I’m gonna have to see the back of it and some better images. Credit to the designer though for using the red rollercoaster on the street level like a gate, could signal that there is a walk way behind me the city, and if you look at the pics, the front walkway on the street level appears to go on top of the pagoda, and wrap around the side of it. There also seems to be a balcony on that side as well, so whilst you should be able to remover the pagoda, I don’t think your gonna be able to display this with ninjago city without it. That does leave the walkway on 70620 leading to nothing though. The minifig selection could of been better, casual harumi and Dr Julian should of been here. I like it, but it’s not the greatest set ever. Will need to see more pics, but for now, the first set was better.

This is probably a stupid question, but what does BAM mean? I’m not to up to date with the Lego acronyms?. Also, does anyone know what Lego’s vidyo theme is actually gonna be? From that teaser in the catalog, it seems to either be a music theme, or Lego trying to cash in on tiktoks success, but I very much doubt that.

I’d say it’s a bit too early to be getting part leaks for season 15, considering that we barley got any from season 14.... however I don’t know what else it could be from. Maybe a Disney princess set?

I’m afraid that that is the 4+ electro mech. Not the hydro mech. It’s for Lloyd anyways, and this one is piloted by jay. There’s jungle scenery arround it and it is on the Lego website. Don’t worry though, not many people talk about the set. As you said, it’s not very exciting.

I'm liking the sound of this hydro mech, seems pretty cool. Is The LEGO parts ordering service down? (probably Brexit) I cant get it to work. I select my pieces and then when I click confirm order, it just says that bricks and pieces cant be reached right now. I'll try again in an hour but im not sure what to do. Also, does anyone know what time the January 1st released sets go up on amazon.co.uk? Im looking to get the titan mech but I'm wondering if any one knows when to expect those sets to be up for sale on amazon. Thanks in advance!

Again, for those of you who are in the uk, Argos has listed a bunch of 2021 sets on their website. Unfortunately no ninjago sets, but there’s a couple of friends, city and technic sets. They’re all on click and collect, but the uk is in lock down. Not much point in getting them a few days before they release, but if that’s your thing, they’re there. Merry Christmas everyone!

Yeah, I’m part of that group. I’ve been building my ninjago city suburbs MOC to get over it though. My main fear for this set is that it will lack the necessary detail that the docks and the main set had. The only way Lego could get away with it in the other two sets is because they thought the movie would pay for it, enabling them do do ridiculously good things with that wave. As there isn’t a movie now, I’m scared that it will have the average detail for ninjago sets. I really hope not, as I loved the other sets because of their superb details. As everyone has said, we will have to wait for official pics. Merry Christmas everyone!

That is honestly the best joke ive heard all day, and I dfinetley agree. Whilst the movie was pretty bad, the sets were phenomenal.

I expected it to be a corner module, as it would round off the series. 1 corner, 1 straight, 1 corner. Because of this, I don't know if we will get any more modulars, but I'm hopeful.

Just got back from shopping, and, oh. My. God. It's beautiful. A small blurry image, but still amazing. It looks incredible, with 20 mini-figs. The trees at the front looks amazing, but I'm not a fan of that flame yellow building in the middle up top. its sooo good looking, and I love the pagoda temple on the side. Is that a water fall in-front of it? My favourite part however is the brown and purple building at the top next to the small cherry tree. It looks great, and also if you look at the tree in the middle at the very bottom, if you look below the leaves, you can see a small stream separating the 32x32 baseplate diagonally. This set is incredible. I cant wait until we get official pics, and I desperately want to see the side of it, and the back. I have to say though, I am slightly disappointed, but to be honest, I did over hype this set way to much. It still looks incredible, and is a day 1 must buy. Is there any chance this could be released a little early to VIP members, perhaps on the anniversary?

Lego did a tribute post to Kirby Morrow and It showed his front torso print in that picture, but in black and white. Combine this with the blurry pic from the catalog, and you can get a good picture or it.

I like the original a bit more, and I think most people agree that the reason the city is more appealing is because of its height. The modulars are split into 3 sections, the old city, the street level and the hi-rise. The old city is the more browns and greys, the street level is more tropical and colourful, and the hi-rise is kinda in between. The problem with the docks is that it opts for width, not height. This means that it mostly focuses on the old city, which is as mentioned, drab grey and browns. There isn't much height to it, which means that it it just doesn't have the colour that ninjago city has. I love both sets and I honestly believe that the docks are great, but only on its own. As soon as you start comparing it to ninjago city and putting it next to it, it just seems to lack. As Jangbricks describes it in his review, Ninjago City Docks just doesn't have the visual weight that the original set has. I think the docks is an amazing set, but only displayed on its own. When you connect it to ninjago city, the difference in height is just crazy, and I've seen people try to mod the docks, to give the 2 towers on the sides more height, but it dosent work. the image below (credit to the brothers brick) shows just how bad the height difference is, and with the gardens apparently being taller than the 2017 set, im kinda scared for how the docks s gonna look when all 3 are lined up. I feel like it will just be forgotten, and we need to bring it back up to level (literally) with ninjago city.

I agree with the forehead thing, although I think kai looks the best if we're looking at headband size. I love the new tactical design, and im a massive fan of making custom figures, and these look great for that. Kinda wish kai had a couple more pouches and more detail, but jay looks the best. I still prefer the dragon master suits from those flyer sets back in 2018, they look amazing. Unfortunately they're kinda hard to get now. As for the villains, they kinda remind me of beavers, probably because of the teeth. They do look interesting though. Cant wait to see official pics ( I mean the box art and out of box pics).

I meant that sometimes the model can cover most of the box. I would love to have just the background image as a screen saver or something like that.
