LEGO Ninjago 2021

I'm pretty sure what almost everyone here is feeling right now. I am not looking forward to the delivery time of this set though. I'll have it by easter, anyways. -

I for one absolutely love the rickety girders and ladders that go around ninjago city. I’m currently making a list of mods to make to this set to fit what I want, a small elevator on the wall of the ninjago fans apartment, facing the tree, and it ends at Chen’s noodle house door. I’m gonna move the small island at the back to make a route for boats, and add a couple more girders for Easy access to the meditation room at the top. speaking of which, is there any way to get up there? I don’t think there is, and also, theres a safe with a teal 1x1 cheese slope in it just under the meditation building. Any ideas what the significance is of it? -

I for one entirely agree with this. Ninjago City is still the best. There is no space in the top of the tower, so how can it be the 'ninja control tower' when you cant get in? There is no way to get from the old world to the street level. One thing I loved about Ninjago City is if you were the size of a minifig, you could get anywhere and everywhere. This set doesn't let you do that. Ninjago City is also a lot more vibrant, and because of the tree and all the open space, it doesn't have what Jangbricks calls 'visual weight'. The tower at the top looks cool, but as I've stated before, I feel like they have taken the parts that made up the amazing crab kitchen and hat store, and used them to build up a tower that really has no purpose apart from storing a couple of posters. One more thing to add to your list, the water doesn't line up with the water at the back of, not entirely. Ninjago City, so if you put the city next to the gardens, there's just gonna be a flat wall next to the water in the space between ronins shop and that small rock with a stone structure on it (not the pagoda island). Its worse for me, as I've built my custom city to have a large walk way at the back, then water for my boats. It looks like the boat channel is on the inside curve of the garden, closest to the paved area. The island will block the way into the waterway. It's hard to describe but imagine a custom 32x32 section, with a shop at the back, then a stone walkway 8 studs deep, the another 8 studs of water. It basically means my water ways are incompatible with the gardens. But enough complaining about this set. can we talk about the good things about it? The posters, the references, the details, and the fact were getting another expansion to this incredible line of sets? I think its time we list off all the cool and incredible things about this set! let's get a bit of positivity in here. -

Really? Wow. That's so cool. Tell them they're amazing at their job! Also, bricks by mind, the person who reviewed the gardens, is going to release another vid about how the gardens connects to the other sets. I'm sure you'll be able to see it there. -

Sorry I was out on a walk. Here’s the link, scroll down and you can find it. There’s no download button unlike everything else, so I don’t think there’s a way. https://www.lego.com/en-gb/themes/ninjago/10-years-anniversary it also shows a bunch of ninjago stuff that Lego is doing for the 10th anniversary. -

Lego have released a music track on their website. It’s about 2 hours 45 mins long and is basically all the ninjago music. You can listen to it on the website but does any one know if it’s possible to download it or have it on Spotify/sound-cloud? Would love to listen to this track a lot and it’s a pain to have to go to the Lego website to listen to it. Would much prefer to have it downloaded on Spotify. Also, the posters pretty cool, and it’s intriguing to see Lego themselves go down the idea of the ninjas as real life beings, not Lego minifigs. -

In an unboxing of the gardens there is actually a poster inside the box, I haven’t had a good look at it though. -

Bricks by mind just posted a speed build of the set, and it confirms a couple of things. First off, no stairs or way to get up to the second floor. It also shows how the gardens is built, with the main city first, then the pagoda island. Jays suit is also included in a tower in the mid section of the turquoise tower. There is no space behind the purple windows unfortunately. It took him 2 days to build. Super hyped for this set! Beat me do it. :) -

Somebody just did an unboxing video and they went over the sticker sheet. There's 2 trading cards, Spita and Knuckles. There's a picture of all the ninja together, all in legacy 2 robes. Except Zane. He wearing his legacy 3 robes. I don't know if we will get a legacy 2 Zane for legacy now. Other interesting stickers include the portrait of Ray and Maya. There is also what appears to be 2x1 stickers for 2 people who I have never seen before in ninjago, and they don't have stats so I don't think they are trading cards. This set is chock full of stickers. There's also 25 numbered bags, and the box is split up in sections by smaller white boxes. 3 manuals, probably for the 3 sectors. I hope theres concept art. -

From what ive seen, unless there's a secret elevator or stairway, There is no way to get minifigs from the old world to the street level. There's a ladder in Ronins pawn shop that leads up to 'the tea time balcony' but I dont know if the ladder goes any higher. I hope it does, there's always been a way to get minifigs up to the second floor. If not, it should be easy enough to mod a small elevator like the one in Ninjago City to the wall of the pawn shop and ninjago fan apartment. -

Same here. It was up for sale at 11 last night on the uk website though. It doesn't let you add the set to bag even though I'm signed in as a VIP, and it just says 'don't have a VIP account? Its free!' Don't know what's going on there. Lego has scuffed the release of this set big time. Welcome to eurobricks by the way! -

Yeah, I had that problem as well. One interesting note is that the gardens set designer video the jungle dragon is visible in the background. Obviously not interesting now we have HD pics of it, but still a cool Easter egg. It’s a decent size as well. Bricks by mind has also confirmed he has the gardens, looks like it was sent out to LAN. Expect reviews in the coming days. His review will be posted in about 4 hours, and the speed build will be in 2 hours. One last thing, Happy ninjago day everyone! -

So I brought my copy of the gardens set at 23:07 London time (it was up early for some reason) and once I brought it, I haven’t had a confirmation email and the money hasn’t gone out of my bank account. Logged in as a VIP this morning on Lego’s website and it just says coming soon, even though it’s the 14th. My friend is also having the same problem. Lego has screwed up this release more than anything. can anyone check if they have had confirmation yet that you have actually brought the set? -

I feel like people are forgetting that you can just take the pagoda island off and put it to the side, or on the other side of the gardens. The walkways line up then. I do agree on the upping the piece count part. I feel like they took something like ninjago city, took the parts used to build the main centre buildings (crab kitchen and clothing store) and used the pieces to build a super tall tower. Then they just chucked whatever pieces they had left on to a base plate and put it to the side. -

Had it gone up yet for sale to VIPs? I’m wondering if it will go up at a later date or time. -

To be honest, the print on zane's torso in the titan mech, which is white painted on black, usually a recipe for disaster, is actually pretty good. Its clear, defined and actually white. Not as white as the arms or hood, but still pretty good. One decline in production though that I have seen are the heads like mercy's or the iron dragon lady head come to mind, but also Pixels head in the throne room showdown set wasn't to good. they just look like grey sludge printed on a black head. no defined or clear lines. -

That does seem to be interesting. Maybe it just needs to update. Could it be dropping at a later time? Say 10 in the morning? Lego hasn’t said anything, and I agree with what everyone has said here. Lego has not handled the 10th anniversary well, media wise. Set wise, it’s pretty good, but we’ve had no announcements, no main media. Do you think Lego will do something on their landing page? Like a 10 year tribute? This is one of Lego’s best themes, and it feels like Lego has almost pushed it to the side. On the quality side, I believe the Lego group is going down in quality, but it’s not entirely their fault. They are having to keep up with the increased demand of hundreds of thousands of bored people, along with the pandemics supply issues. Cuts will have to be made to keep up with the demand, but I’m hopeful that once the pandemic is over, Lego will try and go back to its old ways. I will admit however, the amount of large sets is going up, and Lego just doesn’t feel like it used to. After purchasing the Titan mech, I can say that it does have good detail. I wouldn’t say it’s any better or worse. I think it’s just a case of strain on the supply and demand. -

One thing I was(and still am) hoping for is a line a bit like the modulars, but for the small shops like the one in the warrior mech and the inferno truck. -

I've just received an email from the VIP program about the gardens, it confirms the release tomorrow. It doesn't look like there's gonna be a press release for it, the best we have are these emails. -

Is it just me that feels like the gardens is a little ‘empty’? I don’t mean the space in between the 2 towers, but the details around the build just feel like there missing? I feel like it has more detail than normal ninjago sets, but it has less detail than the ninjago movie sets. I’m pretty sure this is because the designer splashed out on the latter, thinking that the movie would pay for everything, and with out a movie, the gardens can’t afford much detail (Then again, the price for it isn’t the best in the UK, especially compared to other countries). It just feels like the main buildings are pretty empty, like the tower. Apart from the ninja zone below it, there doesn’t seem to be any space in the top section with the windows? And the museum seems sparse. I’m disappointed in the way Lego handled the sets release, but apart from that, this set is definitely worthy of being the 10th anniversary set (although I think they should of made the overlord dragon the main 10th anniversary set). I really think that we need to see reviews of this set, as it seems amazing, but because of the lack of reviews, we really can’t see this set at its best. This thing is gonna look incredible in person. I know it will. -

So we have a set list now, plus a blurry pic of the box art of the quadcopter. Sets include: red sons inferno jet, white dragon bone jet and the. Spider queen archnoid base.
