Been a while since ive dusted off this account and hopped on Eurobricks. The new Life dragon looks very interesting. Seeing plenty of complaints about the wings which are not justified, theyre in a half open pose right now which makes them look very spindly and weird. -
Yeah I got my copy straight from Rednote when the sets first leaked, it says "Illustrated cover art treatment". I really like the direction these sets are going in, but Im still cautiously optimistic and waiting for better pictures (gonna be waiting for a longggggg time though). Huge fan of the mech jet and the dragon, the fire knight mech im half and half on and the bounty is more like 40/60. Not really a fan of the lack of engines and flight bits and bobs, as to me thats what defines a bounty, having the ability to fly. Thats why I have my steaming hot opinion that the ninjago movie bounty isnt a bounty. It's a really, really nice ship, and an awesome set, but it just doesnt bring the flight and so it's really just an ornate ship with the bounty name slapped on it. Obviously theres exceptions like the offshoot bounties (hydro, land, wing) but those are clearly something else. Thats my current opinion on the new bounty. Really nice ship, but not really a bounty. Hopefully it has some interesting mechanisms. IDK I just like flying ships, and this one so far doesnt look like it can fly.

I was expecting it to be after the merge but before the ninja regrouped and found Arin and Sora, in the time when Kai and Lloyd where searching the Merged realms. Wu is just there for set reasons, like how he was in the race against time bounty.

One week to go people, I wonder if we will have to wait for reviews of the workshops or if they will drop on February 1st with the rest of the pictures. I think we will at least get some in hand vids from LAN members, theres no way this wasn't shown to them at RLFM days.

Yes, the puppet should be the buildable figure that is described as “twitchy led mech”, I can’t see them actually giving twitchy a mech when Dorama is RIGHT THERE! And yes, whilst it would be nice to have an apartments dedicated set, I think Ninjago city is actually doing fairly well for apartments. There’s 3 in the Markets, 2 in the gardens, 2 in the docks (I think, not quite sure because I don’t own it) and 2 in the OG city. I expect there will be more in the future workshops set. I’m so incredibly hyped for the reveal, I need that set yesterday. Got one more straight section to fill in my city and then it becomes a full square.

Certain discord servers are also the main source of leaks in the current cycle I think. Litemods seems to be the main leaker so his server is probably where you want to be for the very latest news. I’m not sure if there’s any barrier to entry though. I do wish we got a “merge the fragments” type leak like we had with the first dragons rising poster. Give us a picture of each building every day leading up to the reveal and let the fans try and piece it together. On that note, my next hope for a Ninjago city set is a more structured/ ridged set, where you can swap different buildings around, like the city of lanterns and megapolis from monkie kid. That would give an incentive to purchase multiple copies so you can combine and mix them up without having 2 of the exact same module. To be fair though, it’s getting hard enough to afford to fit in a purchase of one city set into the yearly budget, let alone 2. For that reason, modularity is going to be the main gimmick in my next city module MOC.

71838 - Kais speed racer Includes a bike for kai and a spectral dragonian (new design in purple) We really are just gonna get the January villains recoloured every wave arent we? Would be disappointing but im actually very fond of the dragonians, maybe my favourite villains yet from dragons rising. I love the little back dragons!

Reveal feb 1st, there’s an awfully cropped and edited leaked image of a section of the set going around, nothing much is able to be gained from it aside from the fact the walkway seems to be much higher than the other modules, although the image has been distorted in such a way that this is likely wrong. Casual harumi is head and Zane can be seen. Looks like there’s 2 buildings and a walkway joining them in the middle. Maybe a billboard at the top of one of the buildings.

Hes not including build details on purpose, wonder if they think it will be controversial in some way. Not sure how, but im also not sure why they wouldn't just tell us what the build is. Im expecting pictures by February 1st. I think I should also reevaluate my thought process if I immediately jump to "controversial". Ok so yes im confused as well, but more so actually excited that they are still trying to keep ninjago fresh and unique. I do wonder how this new show is going to work because obviously dragons rising has a good few years ahead of it so I actually have no clue how or when its going to fit into the cannon or if it will be cannon. It's so confusing so I'll wait and see what happens I guess. Kind of disappointed that the mech likely isnt going to be a true titan mech, but it was probably built and designed to titan mech standards, so internally it will be one (I will see what Lee says in the write ups, if he did it).

I think that may have been confirmed by doc, not 100% sure though. According to lite mods Kreel and Dorama will also be in the crossroads.

Still no confirmation if this is a ninjago city or playset-type set. Considering the figure count im leaning more towards playset. The saga continues! I cannot wait till the reveal im so incredibly excited.

Frohicky and Bonzle. Those and Geo are my top picks. Creel, Grabbarg and Lobbo would also be welcomed given the crossroads setting. I’m in 2 minds about it being a modular, on one hand I’m always excited for a new official addition to the ninjago city scape, but I feel like the cross roads doesn’t really fit the city vibe. It doesn’t have canals, or 2 levels. I can see it working but I feel like they can pull of a huge crossroads set if it was on its own. One consideration I’ve had was what if it was a special module that bridged the gap between Ninjago city and icons modulars? So it has a road/sidewalk on one side and a canal on the other side of it. Could be an interesting way to spice it up.

So ninjagos 14th anniversary tomorrow. Not seen anyone really talk about it so I figured I’d get the ball rolling. Ideally I’d love to see the crossroads get revealed or teased, or at the very least get some meaningful info from the leakers. We know nothing about this set and it’s releasing in 2 and a half months. Reveal is slated for late February allegedly, so it will likely be a last minute reveal sadly. Maybe a trailer for the show instead? Still a bit too far of the shows release which is also March. So i don’t know what we could be getting tomorrow.

That’s what I thought at first, and I do think the crossroads will work better as a stand alone set, but Lego could do a 1 off Ninjago retrospective set like the Disney 100 years set. That could be cool to see. Or, a huge location that we have been looking to get forever. Maybe borg tower or a huge revamped DR monastery?

Just checking this out now! I love the detail on the elevator building, the green climbing plant is very well done! I also like the rock work and foliage on the bottom level, and really just how open it feels. Some buildings feel a little sparse but interiors are usually less important than the exteriors, which I think are pretty damn good! Special mention to the storytelling of the flower shop cat and the teacup, and the mural on the elevator building. I like the tree in the centre as well on the second level, im assuming though that its not the same tree as the lower level right? Do you have any pictures of it connected to other modules? -

Game tower has been cancelled according to Fateful. The only set I was really really hyped about this wave.
