    I’m really excited by this as the Contach was my childhood dream car which I had toys and posters of. Would love to see them try it in yellow, or maybe even orange or green.

    I’m liking it more, new pics give a better sense of scale and I think it will fit in well with my other car sets. more stickers than I would like though so may need to dial back on the caffeine when I do this.

    Looks like pics are out in the usual places. For the price it looks initially better than I feared, but really would like to see how it looks next to some of the others. I think the nature of the cars design allows for a fair bit of negative space, so hopefully the part count hasn’t impacted as badly as I thought it could.

    I’m really hoping it will scale well with other sets. IRL the car is relatively small and low profile, so hopefully the form allows the saving of some bricks that would otherwise be used for walls, seats and roof. So we hopefully still get an okay size to display with the other cars.

    Looks like (as per new vid by Brick Clicker) next car in the Icons range will be a McLaren F1. Just under 700 pieces and including an (out of scale) Ayrton Senna mini fig. I’m hoping the low part count is more a reflection on the type of construction and won’t mean it’s too small as a set. So far the closest comparison I can think of is the Caterham 7 in terms of build and part count.

    Looking at areas like the license plate, seems it’ll be a combination of both sadly. main logo and the stripe are printed though, which are the main ones I guess. So much for all the rumors that this was going to be Yellow. Personally I think red’s more iconic in this case, though I always like new colors to add variety, but in this case I think red was the right choice.

    City market pics are up. It looks good but for some reason I’m not 100% sure about it like I was the other 3. Look forward to pics of it with the others for comparison

    Well, assuming the leaks are legit it looks like Sand Green will be the chosen color, which will contrast nicely on the shelf. really need to see better pics but it looks like a winner from first glance. pics are in the usual online spots

    Wonder if that will be the color they go with? Think this may be a fun one in terms of optional accessories, which seems to be Lego’s thing since the Mustang.

    Most excited to see what color they go with for this one, either a tan or olive green hopefully. Like the Camaro it will be nice to have another new color on the Expert/Icons vehicle shelf hopefully.

    I know, it’s very strange as it just seems so easy for them to slap that iconic IP on it. I was sooooo hoping for a Delorean, though I think my wallet might enjoy a slight break as this will for sure be cheaper than that would’ve been. Ask me in a week and I’ll love it (aka Fiat appreciation syndrome)

    I don’t know, it just feels a little strange to have it unlicensed. Looks like a deal fell through at the last minute and Lego decided to make a few changes and release it anyway. I think it will look great next to other sets, but will be interested to see what mods will be out there to make this look more like a Ford. The seasons are a great idea though

    Docks has its positive and negative points. I think the way it seamlessly connects to city with the comic/arcade is great. But feel the height does fall flat though and am always left torn as to wanting to view from both sides. One day I hope to get a freestanding shelf to use as a wall/partition and you can bet this will sit on top of it to be viewable from both sides.

    Yeah I’ve thought of that too. Thankfully it looks like it will be easy enough to play around with and see what works. EVENTUALLY I really hope to have a few extra MOC buildings put into it (ideas I had back when there was no hope of further official sets. So they’ll no doubt change things up as well.

    So I am very in love with this set, however I think I may look into trying to build a walk bridge from the street level of the docks to the gardens as that hard drop just bugs me, and it may fill in some of the “dead air” between them and make the shrine look less like an “add on”. I can see why they added the “expand your gardens” image with 2 x gardens on the box as it will avoid confusion with newbies as to where to get other sets (similar to how all modular only show connecting to other available modular). For all I know there may also be copyright concerns if they reuse the specific “Ninjago Movie” branding on the packaging as well as I don’t think they have a current deal with Warner Bros any more??

    I love the shaping but am surprised they went with another smaller form car so soon after the Fiat (unless we count the Ecto 1, which I should since I got that). But if I count that, then the choice of white is odd as that just comes across as too similar for sets on shelves at the same time. Still I’m glad they went with a classic color as opposed to one of the newer ones (if it was teal like our neighborhood hoon I may have screamed). Really interested to see more angles and features on this one. Unlike the Fiat that had to spend a few days to grow on me, this is immediately awesome (like the Mustang was). Due to $$$ probably not a day one purchase, but definitely a strong hint for my birthday in May

    Great video,wish it showed any pages with action features in more detail though. Best part, all the logos seem to be printed, and the rust is stickers so easily skipped for an “old school” look.
