  1. Just the 3 I think, one of which seems to be Boba’s Palace / Throne. Holding out for a Bad Batch set, please Lego..
  2. I can see the Kef Bir duel set including a Water Skimmer to beef up the price a little, given most of the duel just takes place on a stretch of the DSII ruins. Although, adding the ruins of the throne room, wayfinder vault, and Ben Solo’s redemption perch™️ would also work. If that is the mystery Death Star set, please Lego give Kylo Ren an updated hairpiece! The Mad-Eye Moody hairpiece in black would be brilliant.
  3. Bah, I was hoping we’d get a few new things in January at least but these new leaks.. Disappointing, but it is what it is I guess
  4. Fully agree with this. The ‘classic’ ships and speeders from the OT will always be iconic for a reason, but when it comes to Lego, I do grow tired of sets that are monochromatic and don’t offer much in terms of the designs themselves. It’s why the summer wave is such a breath of fresh air, because the sets are full of new stuff that’s never been offered before. A Hoth-focused wave in January seems like a fair compromise given the non-film focus we’ve had this summer. If Lego can balance legacy content as well as new things, I’m all for it.
  5. Not to mention the fact that given the scope of NWH, there absolutely will be a massive merchandising push for the film sooner or later, probably after the second trailer. I can’t imagine that’s a pie Lego would want to miss a piece of. The October No Way Home wave on its own merits is quite good, but I’m a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to Spidey sets and love location-based builds for him to thwip around. If these two additional sets do exist, I hope they’re on the larger side and reflect the improved quality of MCU sets Lego has shown us this year.
  6. Ah and so they have, thanks for the heads up. Apologies all.
  7. New winter set numbers and prices up on the usual place, frustratingly no set names though. Looks like the January wave will have some more sets on the pricey side.
  8. The wait for a full January set list is becoming more and more of a tease now. Some of the usual leakers in the usual place have indicated that some positive surprises await us.
  9. I wonder if this iteration of Farmboy Luke™️ will have a poncho and hat Luke’s Landspeeder is a decent enough UCS slot I suppose, although it’s a fairly boring choice. Can’t deny it being an iconic vehicle at least. Also, what’s the deal with helmets and the May UCS being leaked before the full January 2022 set list? That’s just weird, I have my fingers painfully crossed for Rex’s blue Y-Wing.
  10. Oh don’t get me wrong, I think there’s so much potential with minifigure-based sets and would prefer that to what the mainline is now. Can you imagine something like the Superheroes Mighty Micros sets but adapted for Mario Kart? That’d be amazing. I’m just looking at things from what Lego have chosen to do is all
  11. They’re different prints from what I can see on S@H.
  12. Definitely something to do with compatibility with Mario and Luigi, but I’m sure it’ll be something localised to the set itself too like others have suggested. Quite the contrary. One of the designer interviews from the line’s launch last year revealed that it was Lego’s idea to forego traditional minifigure-scaled sets I believe. One thing I appreciate about this license is the creativity we’ve seen. We’ve got interactive figures and buildable levels, a NES and TV with scrolling screen, and now this D2C. I’m looking forward to what the future holds and how it’ll satisfy both fans of what the theme currently offers as well as those who wish for more traditional sets.
  13. It’s understandable how these lapses in attention to detail can be off-putting, but at the least I’m glad it doesn’t impact the quality of the builds themselves. With what we’ve had over the summer wave, I feel like it’s one of the most diverse and interesting waves we’ve had in a long time that’s finally given some due attention to non-film media since the Clone Wars days. Not only do we get fresh locations and ships that aren’t just rehashes of existing designs, but the minifigures themselves are also some of the best we’ve had in a long time. I sincerely hope the winter wave keeps up this fresh streak. That being said, you can see the benefits and drawbacks of how certain sets were approached. The Bad Batch Shuttle comes to mind, its additional speeders just take away from what could have been a larger and more detailed shuttle for example. Even with the minifigures, having the entire team in one set is great, but I also wonder how they would have turned out if Lego had taken the Knights of Ren approach and scattered them across different sets. Perhaps they would have been far more detailed and accurate? Excited to see the rest of the Winter 2022 list, looks like it’ll be drip-fed to us at this rate
  14. As someone who fondly remembers playing Super Mario 64 DS as a child, I am loving this set! The mechanism for deploying all four levels on the ? Block is fantastic, and very much mimics the magic of how these work in the 2D and 3D games. I can overlook the lack of ? Blocks in Mario 64 given that this is a far more iconic piece as opposed to the red(?) ! Blocks in the game. With the levels themselves, the lack of further detail is disappointing, though they were understandably boxed in by spatial constraints. That said, each is immediately recognisable and it looks like the front side of the cube has a hidden feature that reviews will shed some light on. Small nitpick, but it does feel frustrating that Lego is so averse to minifigure-scaled sets for this theme now that they’ve done both maxi and micro scales. The mainline has some fantastic ideas, but building fun courses is also very space consuming.
  15. That’s a fantastic observation, I can definitely see Makkari’s hair being used for Fennec! And yes, her skirt will probably be printed, although I wonder if the Arquitens being a playset rather than a vehicle for her to ‘sit’ in will factor in. I agree with @BigA_7, probably sometime in June. Sets are typically revealed around a month prior to release (although 2021 has shaken that up it seems, looking at you, Infinity Saga wave!). I believe last year, the summer wave was leaked via a retailer catalogue on June 1st, though I remember how late in general set information for that summer wave was revealed anyway. Fingers crossed the Beskar Forge releases on August 1st with the rest of the summer wave as opposed to September.
  16. As cool as a specialised Darksaber piece would be, I honestly can’t see it happening, what with this theme’s aversion to custom weapon moulds outside of a few exceptions. Would love to be proven wrong though. I do hope Fennec Shand gets a new mould though (and possibly a fabric skirt piece?), be it her standard hair or the helmet + ponytail combination, the latter would be excellent!
  17. It just perplexes me that what seems to be one of Lego’s best Marvel waves to date isn’t being marketed at all. Gauntlet looks great! Probably a pass for me though. Hope that Thor’s House and Sanctuary II are revealed next week with the rest of the Infinity Saga lineup.
  18. Exactly. Ultimately I think the physical profile of a minifigure plays a large role in how good/accurate it looks, especially for armoured/helmeted characters. Using existing helmet pieces works for someone like Wrecker, but less so for Echo and Hunter. August 1st Although the Beskar Forge is due for a September release apparently. Still hoping Lego just releases that with the rest of the summer wave. I wonder if Paz Viszla’s jetpack will be brickbuilt if he does end up using Wrecker’s armour piece?
  19. Fully agree with this to be honest. I’m excited to get the Shuttle and am loving the show thus far, but keep thinking “these minifigures would have been perfect IF..”. New moulds aside, I think the small things like Echo’s Kama and backbacks for Hunter and Echo would’ve really improved both figures, and let’s not forget a rangefinder for Crosshair. Although it’s understandable a lot of these choices were probably for the benefit of seating the characters in the Havoc Marauder. Apples and oranges of course, but it would have been great if standard non-film SW waves had the same Carte Blanche-like approach towards new minifigure moulds like film waves did due to their bigger budgets. So many unique (and one off!) minifigures like the KoR, Enfys Nest, Weazel, Dryden Vos’ Guards, the list goes on. Nonetheless, the summer wave has reignited my enthusiasm for Lego Star Wars, can’t wait for pictures.
  20. Still excited to get these sets, but the hype has worn thin at this point. On the bright side, every day we are closer to June 1st increases the probability of a reveal! Linear rather than exponential it seems.
  21. Wow, what a set! In a perfect world, Echo would have a kama, Hunter would have a backpack, and Crosshair would have a new P2 helmet mould with a rangefinder. Regardless, Lego have knocked this out of the park, the minifigures are gorgeous and whilst the shuttle could have been much better, I appreciate the seating space and small touches like those posters. Very excited indeed to order the whole summer wave from S@H on day 1.
  22. It seems the scuba masks consist of two pieces; a breather and a hood. You can see Lloyd wearing the breather with his normal hair/headband piece in the Hydro-Bounty box art. Solid wave of sets overall! Would’ve liked to see more interior space in the bounty, but the ability to dock multiple mini-subs more than makes up for it. Looking forward to picking up at least a few sets from this wave.
  23. Of all the characters in the Infinity Saga wave outside of Thanos, I was really expecting Thor to at least have a new mould
  24. Looks like the figures will be the main draw of the set. The shuttle doesn’t look too atrocious, but it seems beyond redundant to add a recoloured BARC. Guess the set’s lone antagonist needs something to ride! That lime speeder is definitely from the show, we see Hunter riding it in both trailers. Speaking of, hope he has a backpack for an accurate overall profile! There’s something really satisfying about seeing a minifigure pilot behind a cockpit “glass”, I know what you mean.
  25. That would be ridiculous, most of the team members don’t even need new moulds to begin with. Really hope this isn’t true, hopefully it isn’t given what day it is.
