  1. Does your suggestion suggest I'm suggestively suggesting actual art from the Renaissance era? Unfortunately I'm not. Ok, it does have "something" to do with Renaissance art, yes, but waaaaaaaaaay differently than you might think., so here's clue number 2:
  2. Nope, sorry. Getting closer, but not quite. Time for the second clue? Let me know.
  3. ...and here I am half a day later to post another riddle. True, certainly not the most elaborate of builds but that's not really the point, is it. Ok, so here it goes: Clue 1 Again, not the most elaborate build but still close to Italian Renaissance art, don't you think!?
  4. ! Bravissimo! Clue 2 no longer needed then... Well done, Sherlock... I mean ROGER It might take some time before I can present some new riddles for giggles so please feel free to share yours.
  5. Weeeeeeell, depends on how you define "too far" - I mean this one's still within the realm of mainstream media . . . oooops, damn, another hint revealed... I see what you're trying to do here. NO MORE TRICKS, Roger Sherlock?!
  6. Nope, sorry. But I might need to also add I changed the topic title from "guess the movie" to a more general "guessing game", so...
  7. Noooooooooooooo, I had such a wonderfully evil master plan! Hours upon weeks of thinking, brainstorming, designing - then coffee break - planning, scheming and drawing, and now you, you... you just come along and .... and then just.... with simply.... but....... ok that could work too.
  8. Thanks for all feedback! Well of coooouuuurse I knew that but it's all part of my massively elaborate master plan to prevent a copyright strike by Air France for too much color accuracy....... Actually no, not really, to be honest. I was just going with what red and blue pieces I had in my stock and what was possible in this scale without putting stickers on it. But you're right, for the Air France version it's probably more accurate to have the top part in blue and the small 1x1 in red - let's just say I did a custom mix of British Airways coloring but still calling it the Air France edition to prevent IP infringement. Cheeky me...!
  9. Hmmmm, too easy? Ok, for this next one only one clue at a time... Clue 1: Come on, Sherlock!
  10. Shouldn't be too difficult, I guess/hope ;) Hint 1: Hint 2: Hint 3: Feel free to post similar riddles for giggles. Have fun!
  11. Perfect, thanks very much, I think I get the idea now. And sorry all for misusing this comment section for noob stuff ;)
  12. Sure, go ahead. I wasn't exactly sure anyway where I should put this. So thanks very much for moving it to the appropriate section. And sorry for my misplacement.
  13. Wonderful, thank you so much! Now, could you also please explain to a noob (that would be me, obviously...) how to implement pics from bricksafe? Or is there a tutorial in this forum somewhere that I can read through to try and figure it out myself? Thanks again!
  14. I was looking for LEGO Concorde designs but not very much came up in such a small scale so I thought I might as well give it a try. It comes complete with bendable nose cone, retractable landing gears (front and back), moveable back wing flaps (thanks again, mini fig pants...!) and the optional flame FX for... historical accuracy... . . .!? And as always you can find more pics here and if interested in a cutesy little Concorde to swoosh around the full set & instructions are available here. I hope you like my small sized interpretation of one of aviation history's most iconic aircraft. Thanks & have fun! (And many thanks to ukbajadave for explaining to a noob how to implement more pics here!)
  15. Thanks again for all the positive feedback! The opening holster was one of the main features I absolutely wanted to incorporate into a Lego Robo model. I managed to build something functional and visually acceptable. However, if anyone can come up with a more sophisticated, more movie accurate design in the same size (the thigh is 8 studs in length and 4 studs wide, gun fits into a 2x4x1 compartment), please feel free to share your ideas. Always looking forward to improve this build.
  16. Well, thankfully I'm not THAT old (*phew*)... so I was indeed referring to the 80s cartoon. Of course I'm also very curious to see what the updated live action version by that German director might turn out to be. So far it looks & sounds quite promising.
  17. Thanks for the positive feedback! Does this mean I'm not the only one old enough around here to remember Captain Future...? ;)
  18. Thanks for the positive feedback! The leg holster was in fact the very first aspect when I came up with the idea of this build - it's so iconic, it HAD to be there! So the size of the whole build was actually defined by the opening leg holster feature. And even though it's not really movie accurate there's also an opening holster in his other leg, too, for storage of his data spike and the 3 flames for the gun firing effect. (Don't like accessories just lying around...)
  19. This is a mini version of Captain Future's Comet/Meteor spacecraft from the famous 80s cartoon. Despite its size the construction is actually reasonably stable and the design also allows the wings to rotate freely from the rest of the spacecraft.
  20. Detroit, the near future... yeah well, not really, actually - it's 1987 and one of the best movies ever was released: Robocop! The future of law enforcement. Part man, part machine, all cop. This is my attempt to recreate one of my most beloved movie characters and I tried to add as much accuracy, details and features as I could. Robo stands approximately 24cm/9.5inches tall and features about 25+ points of articulation for simple recreation of memorable poses from the movies. He comes with lots of accessories, many of which can be stored inside his leg holsters (...yes, he includes an opening leg holster, one each leg! A must!!): His regular gun, the Auto-9, which can be "upgraded" with the iconic triple fire effect, the data spike (not retractable, sorry), also interchangeable heads with/without helmet (the helmeted version is designed so you can use just the top half to recreate the "take off helmet without chin guard" scene) and I also included his flamethrower arm (but not his jetpack... yet...?). The whole build turned out to be surprisingly solid, highly poseable with great playability. Hope you enjoy this as much as I do. (You can visit https://bricksafe.com for many more pics and https://rebrickable.com for the parts list/instructions, should you want a Robo for yourself. Thanks.) Also super happy and exited to announce the full set (including all parts & instructions v7) is now available @ buildamoc.com! Thanks to all who support my designs by purchasing from legit MOC stores.
