  1. As Hybros looks down, my eyes bore down on him. "Did you just say that you invited your people into Zylstra and the baron accepted? Good God! I knew it was a bad idea to have you on that quest in the first place. The devil! I should have lopped off your head before we headed down there. Precious good that would have done! You probably would have grown a new one. Pesky devil! The horror! More beings like you? Occupying Zylstra! Damn them! I hope they haven't leached the place dry already. This heroic work is tiresome, isn't it? By God, we are continually having to clean up others messes. "And when do you intend to move your people out of there and where exactly will they settle? Why not go back to the devil you came from so you can be destroyed with him. Oh, this is terrible news!" Nevertheless, I comfort myself in the fact that Posco will be able to protect the inhabitants of Zylstra from the pesky devils. This thought gives me some hope at least. The baron probably knows they can't try anything against them. Perhaps he's even using it as a plan to get rid of them. I turn away but cast my eyes back at the devil for a moment. What a strange, strange creature. He fights and kills demons with us so effortlessly. I must remember to keep my eye on him though. Suddenly replacing our holy Aunt with that other demoness doesn't seem like a very good idea at all!
  2. "Quite. I met him on the first quest when we discovered Zylstra...I wonder how that lovely community is doing? You heard how we rescued them from the clutches of the Wolfgang who were extorting money from them? A terrible story really, but we restored them. Have you heard from any of them more recently?"
  3. Wow! We find out new things about heroes all the time, don't we? But Endgame's first quest will always be the best.
  4. "If only we had someone who could exorcise demons..." I say, not at all thinking of a quest currently taking place. Taking out the vaccine, I carefully insert it into my bag, ensuring it doesn't leak or break.
  5. I use the chance while the others are busy to dig with my Magic Shovel and then to scan the Castle with my Telescope for any signs of life or the man we're after.
  6. I look around the hall, and spy the pretty elf in the shiny armour sitting quietly by herself. Approaching, I bow politely and address Annienal. "That is a rather shiny peace of armour. I have seen very few people here concerned about keeping their equipment looking so sparkling. My name is Petaldan Parfenius, by the way. What's yours?"
  7. "Can't seem to recall him having anything useful the last time around." I mutter, taking my new hammer and swinging it around a few times to test the balance. "Any of you have any business to attend to?"
  8. "Oh...yes, quite. In fact, I was just taking a break from polishing it right now." I say, before taking a sip of water and waving toward the shield lying against my chair. "It received an awful lot of hits in that last fight."
  9. Having finished off the host of demons and waiting for the party to decide on the Catnip situation, I spy a pink slip of paper. By now, I know the drill. Signing my name on the parchment I whisper the magic words and it disappears. "What a queer tradition! Petaldan also sees a note appear. "What's this then?" I turn the paper over in my hands. Before drawing a smiling face in the signature form. Whoever would receive it would have to know that I too am participating.
  10. "It's funny. Everyone seems to say that. Is anyone too young to be a hero to those around them?"
  11. "Ezeran's friendly. He's not bad or mean." I say to the newcomer. "What's your name?"
  12. "I have to say that I don't much care for the demoness's attitude, but I will rely on the wisdom of the party. If, however, those who have worked with her before don't care to do so again..."
  13. I hand the gold I had found over to Althior's safekeeping, before gleaming as I whirl the giant hammer around. "This will do some damage!"
  14. I believe it was designed to take up three artifact places as the Quest Master told you. However, since I think all of us agreed at the time that such a rule rendered the artifact almost entirely useless, I would say that you can go ahead and equip it with it just taking up the specified artifact slots without diminishing the number of artifacts you can equip.
  15. "Perhaps she can walk in front of us so we don't need to have our backs to her."
  16. I can't say I know for sure, but I would say x4 to beasts.
  17. I'm very happy to have participated in another of your quests and coming back to Zylstra (albeit not as Pretzel) was fabulous. I think Petaldan is used to having people like him, so when few people seemed to pay a whole lot of attention to him, he just sort of faded out. I enjoyed the quest as being a short, sweet one, though I wish we had explored more about the imps. Great to see the Cardinal again and now both Pretzel and Petaldan can share a bitterness against her schemes. Thanks, JimBee (is that how we're spelling it now? )
  18. Gah! By now I'm used to these classes that only deal damage once in a blue moon. I repeat my attack. "We'll finish these critters off soon enough!"
  19. Aren't free hits supposed to be done that the totals of all the enemy attacks are combined? As in Germ would have: 6+6+15+9=36/2=18-2 SP=16 Damage? I thought that was how it was supposed to be run.
  20. "Oh, dear, this didn't end all that well, did it? I feel terrible for the poor people of Zylstra." Receiving, the loot, I accept it graciously, and then hand the Nostrum to Hunkan. "Here, you can probably use this more than I can.
  21. I dual-hit my same target from the front row
  22. "Did they beat us? Why are we running?" I manage to cough out.
  23. Affirmative! I'm glad Pretzel was able to get on a few of your quests.
  24. Wow! Not sure what to say, but thank you for all the time that you have put into this thus far and for starting it and keeping it running for so long. You're a star!
  25. "Hmm, I'm not sure, I've used it as long as I can remember."
