Heroica RPG - Quest#148: Once Upon a Time in Goetia

Okay, not sure if this confirms to the spirit of Baba's passive special, but... I swap the Duke's Coat of Arms for the Shackles of War, and then Throw a Bone to Baba "Fetch doggy! -

Just for clarification, if we target Baba, will she still get a free hit due to dodge? -
We'll try to bring Vindsval back a pet.

Blizzard hasn't been on a quest yet and he hasn't really interacted a massive amount in the hall either, so it's hard to get a feel for him. Seeing how you played Timothy, I think you can make something good out of Blizzard too, but it's really up to you. Characters usually grow through quests and what happens to them, so to a certain extent, if you want to ditch Blizzard, now would be the perfect time to do so, because there's nothing significant to him yet. However, I think at the same time that you won't really know if you want to play him or not until you go on at least one quest with him. Also, a character can be whatever you want him to be. Perhaps you originally had a plan for Blizzard but you don't like it so much anymore, just change it then. Blizzard has not had a whole lot of interaction with the world around him so it won't really be a problem. Just my two cents.

I did love Timothy, so I may be biased in saying that it was a bad idea.

Short forays = more quests, right? If that's the case, then it's definitely preferable.

I hand the Horned Demon Hat to Catnip and down a Nostrum and Mulled Wine. "After all that you've done to us...to me, you think I'm just going to walk out of here and let you take what you came for. You're dead, Baba! This is the end for you or for me. I swore allegiance to one of my arch-enemies in order to evict you from your position in Eubric, now is the time for me to finish off the job." -

I like how the Copper Fox is quite adaptable. For some heroes he pulls out his full force in training them and for others you would think that he never touched a blade in his life.

I attack Zepar twice from the back row with the Dual Staff. "He looks as good as dead anyway, but..." -

"I wonder why I couldn't get a nice, normal Guardian Angel like that." -
Petaldan looks questioningly at the quest board. "Doesn't seem like a particularly heroic thing to do. Why don't they just have their soldiers protect it? Ah, well, I guess no task is too small for a hero." So saying, Petaldan signs up for Quest #154.

I Dual-Strike Ipos from the Front Row and then Dual-Strike Sitri, also from the front. "We will destroy them yet." -
Diamond, I would say. Holy enemies are quite rare.

Edited my action so I'm targeting Halphas as my primary target and dual-striking Ipos. -

I drink a Remedy and then Halphas the Gargoyle General while Dual-Striking Ipos the Flayer from the Front Row. -

I'm not sure if I'm calculating wrong, but I think I should have a x8 multiplier against Sitri due to my Diamond, Ruby, and Opal. I don't think I have any gem that is weak to her either. I believe I should also have an x8 multiplier against Phenex because he's weak to my Diamond, Opal, Sapphire, and Topaz, but that strong against my Ruby. So that should be 736-30=706 damage against both of them + bleeding. -

I attack Sitri and then Phenex from the Front Row with the Dual Staff "Well, is this your best shot? Regardless, which shall pull you up by the roots." -
I listen spell-bound to Eric's description of the Basilisk. "I should like to fight one or to watch you fight one at least. The last battles I fought had consisted of little more than me holding up my shield to protect the party from damage. See the scratches here. This shield has served me for a few battles, but I worry that before too long I shall have to get another one. Not I am not from here. I am from far away." I sound a little confused about where exactly I come from.

I look at the mead in front of me. "Oh, I had better not drink that. My parents would not be pleased. Besides, I need to keep a clear head and...I have not found the taste too pleasant. My name is Petaldan, Parfenius. Pleased to meet you Sir Eric. Please tell me, what is a Basilisk? I don't think I've ever heard of such a creature before." "Oh yes, well enough. Do meet Sir Eric, from the North."

Thanks, Sandy. I suppose it's okay to hold on to the Letter of Recommendation for a while in case we can't trade it? I'm really not sure about Petaldan getting cozy with any faction for now, at least not until he's a little more familiar with them.

I would say that anyone who can drop gold should drop gold. Except in rare cases, I don't see why any Humanoid enemy should not have some gold on them. Animals may be a different story...maybe. Even a beggar can have one gold coin on him.

I take a Smelling Salts and a Nostrum before equipping the Duke's Coat of Arms instead of the Soul Link Chain. "I do believe I'm ready for the storming of that place." -
"Thank you! It's always important to keep equipment shiny, otherwise the people I'm trying to help might think I'm a bad guy. They never keep their equipment nice and shiny, you know? Are you a hero too?"

"Well, it's hardly your people I'm worried about, is it now?"
