I like how the Dastan quests are slowly coming together, or at least so it seems. It's looking great!

Jedi Temple Mafia - Day One
Palathadric replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I wasn't directly saying you were scum, but I was saying that there is a possiblity. Obviously Master Windu had a reason for making the claims he was, and more likely than not he was, in the end trying to protect some scum, but don't worry, as Luminara suggested, I am in no way going to base my thinking tomorrow off this, but it is a point to remember. ...And no, I don't think you've been particularly scummy today, although to a certain extent, everyone has, but...anyway. -
Would Tarn and Nyx be able to speak to Sir Poletad without you?

Jedi Temple Mafia - Day One
Palathadric replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Alright, Masters and Padawans. I have been exchanging messages of my own with Master Windu. From what I gathered from him the scum are: C-3PO, Ki-Adi Mundi, and Barriss Offee, apparently only 4 of them. I am inclined to believe that C-3PO is not scum, although it would be a good idea to watch him just to be sure. However, I wouldn't be surprised if either Ki-Adi or Barriss are scum. Perhaps his plan was that he would pull down a townies, C-3PO, with him. And then when he realized we weren't buying that he added the other two in hopes that we would put them "beyond reproach" as well. It would be a risky thing to do, but it is possible. What do you all think? I hope the above post was clear. Just let me know if it is not. -

I have no clue as to who most of the people are so I end up calling everyone "Master". A master may take it poorly if you call him/her a padawan.

Thanks! But a role power cannot target himself, right? -

Can role powers target themselves? I always assumed they couldn't. -

Pardon me, I don't recall ever accusing you of making useless posts. Other people maybe, but I didn't. I think people pointing out others "useless" posts is unnecessary and useless in itself. I asked you not ask others to vote, that is more or less all. Oh, right, I forgot Vote: Mace Windu(Nightshroud99) I would love to vote for someone else just for the sake of it since my vote won't count anyway, but...I guess I should be conventional. -

Ah! Thanks for clarifying, I was rather confused. And no, there is no defense as far as I can see. Perhaps it was late and he did not want to tackle it in his sleepy state. I'm off to meditate myself now. -
And there are still 24 hours to go for Day 1. Glad you didn't participate in the game now, aren't you?

Pardon me, what do you mean by "retired to his chambers?" Do you mean he went offline? In that case, how is he supposed to respond? Yes, I found it interesting, particularly as one or two other shared similar feelings with me personally before the droid commented. I am keeping an eye on you Ssiht. -
This truly is a fantastic ship and well worthy of being front-paged. How did you do the underside?

Presently I am copying the sacred texts of the Holy Book. Although I have many projects. Here is one of my theses on the benedictions of Saint Kytger, I am sure you will find it fascinating. I lift the weighty volume from my cart and place in on the table, the table collapses under the weight, but thankfully I managed to rescue the book and my parchments, even if not the ink. Quickly I scoop the fallen ink back up to avoid waste.

Thank you! I saw the opening time of the post and calculated 48 hours from then was disturbed in spirit. But obviously a day is 72 hours long. I suppose everyone's panicky attitudes and desire to vote affected me somewhat. -

Yes, I would really like to know this, also I have no idea how much time we have left, even without any additional hours being added. I don't want to go of to meditate for several hours and wake up to find I have been penalized for not voting as Hugar said. -

Splitting the vote really doesn't matter much as far as I can see. There will be a lynch today, even if the person with the highest number of votes has only three against them, that's what I seem to understand from what Master Yoda told us. The only reason to be afraid of splitting the votes is that the votes will get so low that the scum will all be able to vote for one person and take him down with now issue. I don't think this should be a problem as if we lynch a townie today, naturally those who voted for him will be under suspicion, right? -

The driving force? Really?!? I didn't see him being particularly helpful, I just see him as a loud mouth who wants all the attention on himself. No offence, Master Corobb. However, from what I can tell, three individuals: Corobb, Coryn, and C-3PO seem to be in some sort of "untouchable" group where there seems to be little doubt in anyone's mind that they are town through-and-through. I greatly admire Nahdar for stepping out and putting some pressure on Corobb who, in my opinion, has not taken too well to it. Nevertheless, I don't see Corobb getting lynched today, so instead of talking about him and Nahdar and trying to analyze their situation, I say we look more at those who came under suspicion earlier on, especially those who already have votes against them...you know, see if they'll snap. -

Agree with you, but that is why it is ridiculous to lynch somebody based on how active they have been. Scum could post a lot in an attempt to look like town, or they could post very little in an attempt to not look like a scum pretending to be town. Does this make any sense? I hope it expresses what I'm trying to say. -

This is ridiculous and one of the scummiest things I have seen. "Oh! I'm so sorry I voted, I didn't know. Here are a couple suggestions of other people you can all vote for." Seriously? Oh, well, you're still not incredibly high on my scum list, but you're rising slowly but surely. What?!? You want people to vote for someone who you now suspect so that your vote won't stand. Please do not ask others to vote or not vote for anyone. It's annoying. Let everyone decide on their own. If we think Ahsoka is worthy of a lynch, we will lynch her and if we think Master Windu is worthy of a lynch, then we will lynch him. -
Can I say, "Amen!" to this? What?!? I am a monk after all.

Seeing Alexis is busy in conversation with the strange...whatever it is, I turn back to my writing.

Sounds kind of interesting although I don't entirely understand how it would work.

You are not a Jedi. If you were a Jedi, you would be at the Temple. Sorry mate, but this mind trick is doing its work on you. In general people don't appreciate role-playing much in Mafia. I tried for a long while in Bedtime Story, but it also only brought suspicion on me. Right now people are still talking at least somewhat in character, probably in the next few days though, it will become less and less in character. It's disappointing I know, but people are more despearte to kill the scum than to stick to their roles, so...I guess it's a good thing, kind of...

Jedi Temple Mafia - Day One
Palathadric replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Wow! So much talking going on already. I miss a few hours of activity and there is kilometres of posts saying, in all honesty, more or less worthless information, but as far as I can tell this is how the situation normally is on day 1. Forgive my late arrival. It seeemed I was locked out of the chamber for a while, and then I decided to go and meditate instead of waiting for it to open, as I had no idea when someone would open it. I would like to review some of the things going on presently. Forgive me if I miss something, but there is so much that has been written that there is a chance that I miss something. Firstly is the band wagon going against Ahsoka. I really don't think there is much in it. I would say that Ahsoka's sticking to her point is less scummy than it would've been if she had just backed down. I think she is just a confused Jedi. However, perhaps she knew somebody would catch onto this and that is precisely why she kept pursuing her way of thinking. In any case, she is somebody to look out for. I have to point out that I disagree with Roron Corobb that giving up is a trait of bad guys. If you look at my last experience in this sort of situation, all the good guys gave up whereas the bad guy (a certain dubious, Arab boy) was the only one who didn't give up, and ended up being the scum. The fact is that the scum will almost always have at least somebody, one of their own, to stand up for them, whereas good guys are on their own and if public opinion is against them, then they have no one to count on. Hence they give up. R2D2: I really think the crap that has been thrown against him has been useless. I mean, seriously, if he were scum, why would he invite suspicion on himself with his beeps? I would say voting against him is ridiculous. He has made some interesting contributions. Anakin Skywalker: Originally, I was convinced he was scum, but as more and more people began bandwagoning against him, I became unsure. Now very few people seem on his tail, and it seems almost entirely because a certain individual felt that he was a Jedi. Again, someone to look out for. Mace Windu: I don't know what to say about him, as he has been worthless. Although he is probably one of the highest suspects on my list. Ili Seosty: Definitely suspicious coming in here and voting as soon as the voting option went up. I don't mean to just repeat what so many have said, but I definitely think that it is between her and Windu as of now. Also, somebody mentioned that it must have taken guts to be the first to vote. I think that is ridiculous as there was already a bandwagon of FoS against Ahsoka when she voted. It is not unlikely that she just wanted to appear to be taking a brave step, when actually she was fairly certain that Ahsoka would be lynched. Foul Moudama: Suspicious as well, but I wouldn't say so as much so as those I have already mentioned. Did I miss anyone? I should think not. As of now I point my finger towards Seosty. FoS: Ili Seosty: Sisco It's quite interesting how things are developing here though. As far as the tie-voting goes, perhaps the person backing it would like to read up what it says in the rules, if he hasn't already. Pretty much so long as even just one of us votes there can be no tie vote. Somebody is getting lynched today, unless no one votes, but already two people have, so that can't happen.
