I look at the quest board. Yes! Another quest! Before too long my services will be in as great demand as they used to be. Who the devil is this raider and that druid, though? Why do always get the criminal and pagan types to go on quests with me?" From the moment I look at Eugene, I dislike him...immensely. "Look at the blue creature. Methinks he is a devil of some kind. What man can be blue naturally? And who is he to claim the contents of our purses to be as light as taht. Fool! I hope he won't be the one showing us around," I mutter aloud. I turn to the woman selling the Ethereal Cloak. I don't much care for her face. She is looks somewhat demonic herself. Certainly not of any of the normal sentient beings. "Here, take the 150 gold for the Ethereal Cloak. May I consider it mine?"
-
Gah! I'm so stupid I thought that buying this would leave me with only 30 gold. Serves me right for posting so late at night. "Actually I have reconsidered, I'll purchase the Ethereal Cloak from you at said, price, I am also interested in the Lullaby wand. I am assuming it is useable by clerics and mages, correct? How exactly does it work. Does it put an enemy to sleep when struck and also deduct their health? Would you be willing to part with both the cloak and the wand for 200 gold?"
-
And don't forget to put a link to it in your signature. Oh, and welcome to Heroica! It's always great having new members. Perhaps we will see some great new level 1 quests!
-
Actually Macs are usually "lighter" than other computers.

"If you had posted this just a couple of hours ago, I would have purchased the cloak from you without hesitation, but now I have spent money on this tricorn. Consider me interested, but I will have to think over whether I have the means to buy it or not. Unless, of course, you are willing to give it to me for a greater discount or if you are willing to let me pay you half now and the other half whenever I return from my next quest? Also, is there any way whether I can determind whether your cloak is a genuine make and not a fake?" "Ah, Erik, if I had known you would be willing to sell the scroll for so lowly a cost, I would have purchased it off you. You must let me know if you will do any such sales!" I lament.

Very much agree, Scubacarrot!

"Reputation with the Wolfgang, you say? Can that be good news? A bunch of hoodlums and criminals as far as I'm concerned. I would stay away from there lot if I were you. How did you come to meet up with them. I thought your quest was for the reigning families of Eubric? Humph, seems like you're off again as soon as our meeting begins. Quest well and may the blessings of God go with you and your party." I turn to the board, noticing another quest being posted up. "Excuse me, one moment," I mutter to Alexis, before pushing my way through the crowd to the quest board. I gaze in wonder at the amount of gold being given and, without even so much as reading the quest, I sign up for Quest #45: The Doctor is In. I then hurry back to where Alexis and her company are seated.

I have this same problem.

Not only are you a purist, but you're also a cruel task master! What is this "something" that happened. Did I come back to life? ...Please? Oh, right, I still have a comment to post in the day thread...think, think, think. -

Am I the only one who can't seem to see the pictures?

Having been almost utterly ignored by the group at the loud table, or rather the loud group at the perfectly normal table (apart from a from one of them), I turn away and look for some heroes I know. Benji is still gone on his quest, Leo has departed from the hall, Daxus is dead, Alisha, is also absent. Not unusual though, considering the kind of woman she is! Then there are those I met at the hall. Arasmyth was still out questing. The young, somewhat hot-headed fellow was questing with Benji. At least that cursed vampire and the other devil are not around, I think gratefully. I then notice the elven ranger whom I had shared some words with, before she had gone out a-questing. I approach Alexis. "Good day, Miss...Alexis, was it? It's been a while. We didn't get much time to talk last time we met. How went your latest quest?" I then notice her somewhat upset face. "Umm...perhaps this is not a good time?"
-
Oh, crap. Where did this guy slip out of. Just when I thought I had gotten rid of him too!
-
Congratulations to the winners and many thanks to KimT! Can we rant about the lottery in the lottery thread or should we only do so in the hall? I am sure Monk Pretzel will have words to say.
-
I turn to Mizuki and Erik. "All these raffles are such cheats. They have predetermined people whom they give the prizes to..." Suddenly, I realize that Erik is getting a prize. "....As I was saying..." I trail off. Suddenly, I notice something of interest being discussed at the "noisy-heroes' table." I enter in on the conversation, when one of the ladies had mentioned Vampires in Eubric. "I am astonished to hear your surprise concerning the Vampires roaming Eubric," I say coolly as I slide up towards the table. They are here, I tell you so. There is even one of them among us somewhere, but I think I managed to chase him away somewhat. Thanks be to God! He was trying to pose as a hero of all things." I turn to the paladin. "You did a righteous and noble deed in defeating those devils of the netherworld. Are you, perchance, a paladin, good sir?"
-
You know that you're only allowed to equip one of those at a time, right?
-
How did you know potions would be my next stop? "You cannot go down on it. Ah, well! I suppose I shall just have to dig a bit deeper in my purse." I shuffle through the contents of my cart and finally produce the desired coin. "Here, take it." I hand him the coins. He hands me the tricorn. I smile in delight, placing it in my cart for the time being until I can try it on later. I purchase the Tricorn off of Fabian for 120 gold. 402-120=282 gold remaining.

Excalibur 2.0: Confirmation and Discussion
Palathadric replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Have it your way then, but please remember that the 8th day is a working day again. Remember that, or we stumps are really going to run riot and pull out our big guns. -
Re-entering the hall, I am stunned by the amount of people I see. Apparently, several more quests have ended and the heroes are returning and packing the hall. For some reason, I feel horribly uneasy under these circumstances, with very few people I have any sort of acquaintance with around, and just wish that I could crawl into a corner and disappear. Unfortunately, all the "corners" are taken...
-
Um...are we supposed to cheer for you?

Gah! I've worked on Tower Raid one time too many. My computer keeps crashing though, so I keep losing the newest models I made. I really should learn to backup files more regularly. I can do Tower Raid by memory now without even looking at the front page of the instructions.

"Grand! Just grand. I can see you're an honourable fellow, yourself, elf! This armour is all yours. And now I will fulfil my word to you and purchase that elegant Tricorn from you. It's a smart looking hat and, despite it's soft appearance, will make for a great piece of defense. Any chance you could go down to 102 coins on it?
-
Right. Excellent idea, though, Zepher! I admire your organization and dedication.
-
It was a fantastic quest, Zepher. Great participation from the questees too. I also was not expecting it to be quite this short, but when we saw the ol' frog himself, I was pretty certain that that was to be the "Boss Battle." Fantastic work on this though. It must be an incredibly welcome relief from the Dastan one.
