  1. But it is possible for even the characters to forget people they enteracted only shortly with in the hall. I'd say it's sort of part of the fun, but great ideas Zepher. Since I'm fairly new, it doesn't seem particularly applicable since I can quite easily remember all of those I've shared conversations with, but I suppose it's good to make such a list now so that in the future when I've enteracted a lot more with other heroes, I will remember such things as you brought out.
  2. Okay. Let me just wait for you to get back to the hall.
  3. Endgame, is the Brewer's Book an item I should keep in my inventory, or was it just a quest item? I just don't see Monk Pretzel as being a person who would collect trophies like that, which is why I gave mine to Erik and Mizuki. Once an item has been Mythrilized can it be de-Mythrilized and then, later on re-Mythrilized? Just wondering.
  4. You're a devil, I tell you!
  5. I enter the marketplace whistling giddily. There is a new vendor selling, of all things, artifacts. I peruse his wears. Mr. Fabian, sir. I would like you to have a look at these items I would like to sell. I have here a incredible helmet that came from the head of the Great Draugr himself and his shield too. What say you to giving me thirty gold for the two of them. I fought hard for these two items and would hate for them to go to waste. Don't fear. If you purchase these items from me at said price, I will be sure to frequent your shop and purchase one or two of your other more costly items. What say you to this offer?"
  6. That's too unfair. You say that we cannot raise Daxus from the dead, and then you work your necromancy on the Death Progg. Cheater! I call!
  7. Zakura and Myrddyn, just so you know, Monk Pretzel had given Erik and Mizuki two of the Death Progg's claws each. So you both have two and Monk Pretzel doesn't have any.
  8. It's a pretense of modesty!
  9. Believe me. I've been trying. The "argument" is better in the C&D thread than in the Day thread. Pick me, pick me, pick me!
  10. Thanks, Endgame. It was a great quest and was just going over it again. One thing I was wondering about was the Venus Flytrap. I can't remember if there was anything to it, and if we just forgot about it, or what? I hope I can get into any future quests of yours. Do we get a special "Great Reputation with Proggs?" or something. Oh, and I'm sure glad that I made up for Quest #24 this time around. Although, I have the feeling that I will still have to go on another two quests before I can become Level 15. I suppose it's my own fault for allowing myself to become KO'ed so many times in Quest #24 and, thereby, missing out on a whole lot of XP. My own player evaluation: Myrrdyn (Erik): Great playing with you. You were a great help at the end especially and really took over when LEGOman left us. Your diplomacy with the proggs was great, and you really deserve a "Defender of Progg Rights" title or something. Sorry that you had to get KO'ed a couple of times...or was it just once. The quest would have moved along much slower at the end if you hadn't been there to counsel me on the battle targets, etc at the end, especially since I couldn't get online as much as usual. Zakura (Mizuki): Quiet, as usual. Short, sweet, and to the point. I like how Mizuki seems to have an obsession for snacks and the like. It's great fun. Wish you had been a bit more active though. You were incredibly lucky in the fights and I don't think we could have won several of them without your (rather frequent) mugs. LEGOman273: Was great and acted easily as the party leader in my absence, and often thought more intelligently than myself. Really disappointed in his being banned. Him and I dominated the thread in the beginning, but thankfully Erik stepped up more a little later on. I would have appreciated a little more eagerness to roleplay amongst ourselves, as you fellows seemed more content with talking to the proggs, but at least it didn't make me more stressed when I had internet and computer problems. All-in-all, great quest everyone. Was surprised that we took it up to 70 pages, and I hope we didn't bore any followers with too many out of character comments.
  11. You and your tags.
  12. "Mizuki and Erik, I hate to talk about money matters at this time, but it is important nonetheless. From my calculations the amount of loot was about equal. The profits we made, not including Mizuki's mugs were about even, all things considered. Remember that in this list I am deducting the items expended during the quest. The profits were: Mizuki: 196 gold + Claw (WP1 upgrade) + Commerz Cannonball Erik: 188 gold + Voltedge + Claw (WP1 upgrade) Pretzel: 233 gold + Commerz Cannonball I translated everything I could into the gold it was worth. And the remaining are the items I was unsure of. As you can see, it's quite even. Therefore, I will split the gold equally and we will each receive 200 gold. Now let us get on with the funeral preparations for my faithful follower, Daxus Octavian."
  13. It doesn't help. Where's your post in the day thread?
  14. Is there some way we can hide the topic from him. The poor guy's going to have a nervous breakdown.
  15. I step into the hall which I notice is full of life. A distressed girl sits to one side with her friends, I assume, comforting her, a noisy brood drink vulgarly. Mizuki approaches me asking if I will toast to Daxus. "I am sorry, young one, but I do not permit myself to touch ale or any such strong drink. I will toast with wine. That much I can do." Suddenly, I notice the signup board is filled with quest appeals. "Excuse me for a moment," I turn and rush over to the quest board and study over the various quests, giving a grunt at the first. "They want someone who had 'served in Haddon' indeed. They really should clarify what they mean. Obviously they mean that the someone must have served in Haddon whilst working for Heroics. They really must be more clear." I read over the other quests. "A duty for the town watch. Not particularly interesting, but the gold is good." I sign up. I read over the other quests just in case. "What's this nonsense about getting a staff and it being the meaning of it all or something. Sounds idiotic to me. Nevertheless, they require a hero over level 10, with preference to Clerics for one, so that makes me perfect for the task. I suppose I could sign up, and use this quest as a backup one in case I can't make it onto the first. the pay is not bad either." "Work for the Shadeaux?!? Indeed! But it could help to spread my influence over this rotten city. Perhaps it is in some way God's plan for me." I tentatively signup knowing I can always take my name off the signup sheet. "What sort of tramp would give us one gold coin each. Must be a serious fool..." I feel a tug on my heart. "...Ack! Poor child. I guess it is my duty to signup for this, but I hope I don't need to go." Monk Pretzel has signed up for Quest #40: The Strivvian Job; Quest #42: The Meaning Of It All; Quest #43: Protect My Brother; and Quest #44: My Best Friend
  16. I would like to say it's because all the talk is behind the scenes, but somehow I don't get the impression that anyone is pulling off any "I am scum" moves. So sad. At least it added life to the day. We dead rule you!
  17. A gelding, my man. A gelding.
  18. I really like how Brickdoctor does this in his quesst. It makes it so much more clear when the quest is over and it makes the Heroes feel good that what they did changed something in some way.
  19. I take up Combrys and, with a great effort, hack the tail off the death progg. "Part of the trophy I am guessing," I mutter. "Punii, I see you still have a Holy Bomb in your collection. Kindly hand it to Mizuki, if it's alright with you." Oops, didn't see this post. Yes, Endgame, I'll use the Phoenix Essence.I restrain Mizuki from lighting the body. I then take up Combrys and sever the tail from the Death Progg. I turn to the others. "Is their a temporary "coffin" we can put his body in for the remainder of the night?"
  20. Nah! You'd totally be a horse.
  21. I pant a little after killing the Death Progg. "That devil deserved it..." I suddenly remember Daxus. Rushing over, I pour his Phoenix Essence down his mouth, and using all the power/ether at my command I manage to get his heart pumping. His eyes open as he stares hazily at me. "Daxus, I'm afraid this is the end for you. There is little I can do to save you now, but we will be certain to give you a decent funeral. You have done what you could in ridding the world of demons. First the Draugr in our last quest and then the many lesser devils and finally the master devil of them all here in these caverns. May God bless the deeds you have done and the extra gold given and grant you a glorious future in the life to come." I bow my head in prayer. Daxus is gone, but a hint of a smile plays on the corner of his lips. I stare down at him in a rather melacholy mood. I hear Mizuki make a comment. Without looking up, I reply, "You are right, Mizuki. We must take him back to Eubric and give him a proper buial at the Hall. I would bury him here in honour of his last struggle against this evil, but I am afraid that the proggs may return to avenge the Death Progg and desecrate his body while they do so. No! We must bury him at Heroica Hall." I turn to Mizuki and Erik. "I have no need for these claws. Why don't you take two each. Otherwise, we could place one in Daxus' tomb in tribute to his accomplishments. What say you both?"
  22. I have to agree with Zepher entirely.
  23. "Right!" Battle Order: Pretzel: Seal Death Progg D Pretzel: Seal Death Progg D Mizuki: Drink Grand Potion Mizuki: Death Progg D (Front Row) Erik: Death Progg D (Front Row) Daxus: Death Progg D (Front Row) Daxus: Death Progg D (Front Row
  24. Just when I thought I had the names down in Excalibur 1.0 everyone's names got changed.

  25. Welcome to Heroica, Wedge! Hope you have fun.
