  1. I guess it requires going on Doc's extensive quests to get such a reward. At the rate I'm going I won't be at Level 15 after 3 quests. But I guess I can blame my getting KO'ed so much in Quest #24 for that. Time to do some Capt.JohnPaul bashing.
  2. Agreed. Knights have other things to buy than just shield upgrades. I think we should keep the cost of upgrading the same. Or you make enemies that with a special that coaxes all heroes into the front row. Although, I was against it at first, I think it makes sense to say, "Yay!" If nothing else than to make it simple for, as Peppermint said, "lazy" QMs. I think it's fine to have it that way. If you want to make a serious dent in Docken's health you can add the occasional enemies with the SP bashing devices. Or how about having an enemy that sees shields as skeleton dummies and shaves off a certain amount of SP for every damage delivered.
  3. Alexandre and Arthur have only been on 2 quests yet they're already advanced classes. Has anyone advanced in levels as quickly as that?
  4. Oh, right, it's true.
  5. I think it was an interesting game that Scuba and co played though. Instead of using their knowledge of the power roles to slowly pick them off, they kept them alive and attempted to manipulate them into doing their will. This did work out quite nicely for them, for the most part, but I think after Scuba died they could have attempted to knock off some of those same power roles like Masked Builder, maybe even Shadows, etc. Using the process of elimination Masked Builder's investigation results did, probably quite significantly, help the town in catching the scum.
  6. This idea makes sense as far as I'm concerned, but, as you said, upgrading SP will get so insanely expensive by the time it reaches 15-20 SP that probably few heroes if any, will even bother to do it. I don't really think a limit is necessary because I believe the cost can serve as a cap. Docken was able to upgrade quickly because of the Mythril he got, but not many heroes will be able to buy mythril and certainly not at so cheap a price as he bought his for.
  7. You're welcome. Personally, I think it's fine to just say the amount of damage done, if someone wants to get into the math they can go ahead. If you have so many numbers it can make it almost more confusing. I suppose the idea of dealing one damage no matter what does make sense, but knights are the only ones whom it really effects as they are the only ones who have a serious chance of not taking damage a "damage" number is rolled.
  8. Well, there are only six advanced classes that can use any form of SP that is not in an artifact, so it likely would cause difficulties, but maybe heroes need to learn to not always fight from the front row or to carry a hell of a lot more Phoenix Essences on them.
  9. Well, it still would take a little longer to KO a hero with more health. Sandy, I believe you didn't add Dak's hit in Quest #43 on Mr. Bear's final health. I think he should be at 287 health, unless I'm missing something. By the way, go easy on Mr. Bear heroes, I have evidence that he is, indeed, not scum.
  10. You could have enemies who deal a certain amount of damage that is dependent on the heroes health. Like in Rumble Strikes last quest when Mr. Whatshisname's special cut the enemies health in half. I don't know if anyone can make sense of this.
  11. That's what I said. It's an unbeatable strategy under the circumstances!
  12. With my strategy in place?!? Impossible I say!!!
  13. Agreed! Fantastic bit of role-playing.
  14. I have done a fair bit of work with POV-Ray, but I haven't made any MOCs for quests. So... Also my computer situation has been far from reliable at present. Just remember LDraw not LDD is the way to go. You guys should have used this strategy in your last quest. When you fled you should have gone up and fought the Croise again. Benji and Lycan could deliver the hits and then Sorrow flees. No matter how many times Benji and Lycan would get KO'ed, you would still come back with 1 health and Sorrow could just have kept on fleeing every round. You really should have used this! Wow! I'm so creative.
  15. With my current computer situation being so annoyingly unstable, I don't know if I can commit to playing this game, which is a real shame, because it sounds like it's going to be fantastic. Just in case, you do need an extra player though...actually, what the hell, I think I'll be fine playing: 1. I think it has to be 3633. Don't ask me why, but I just love it. 2. My favorite moment in which I played thus far is when I how I managed to survive in Day 3 & 4 of Bedtime Story. It was pretty fun being scum, I have to say. 3. S.T.I.N.G. (though I have no clue what it's short for)
  16. Monk Pretzel swings again from the back row. In situations like this, I think it's perfectly fine to autoplay the rounds since we're all back up to full health. I smile broadly as once again, God grants me a miracle and heals my quest mates. It seemed that for a little while, back in the darkest caverns of the "voracious" vault He had abandoned me, but not so now. I feel the energy flowing through my body. "You are a fool 'demi-god'. What made you think that you could force us to fight alongside you? You are a lunatic, clearly demented. I don't know if you are always like this or not, but you have insulted the messenger of God on this earth, and his comrades with him, and I am afraid to say that you will, more likely than not, pay dearly for it. It would have been wiser if you had not attempted to insult us with your senseless banter in the first place."
  17. Wow, The Dastan Trilogy is finally over. What a tremendous set of quests all! Both the QMs and the questees were fantastic. A lot of really good role-playing went on, and I have to say those quests were tremendously enjoyable to read through. Now that they are finished, I will probably have to read over them again...sometime. PS: I hope Count Knighton is not still running around unshaven and with that ridiculous forestman hat on.
  18. I think one of the main problems was that you had three heroes on very different levels. It makes it really hard to make a balanced enemy since, for example, Lycan is so much weaker than Benji. For the boss battle, I really think you guys should have given the nostrum to Benji since he was hastened as well. Hastening can be more dangerous than helpful when a nostrum is not used as well. With a nostrum added, however, it is deadly.
  19. Sandy's quest: "My Best Friend" also looks like it may make a good Level 1 quest, although I can't be sure about that, just speculating. I would advise signing up for the two of them, the other ones presently available for sign-ups seem more for advanced classes, etc. The first post of the first page of the "Heroica Hall" topic contains all the quests available to sign-up for. Under "The Questboard" picture look at the open quests.Just to make it simple though for you, Khorne's quest is still open. Even if you sign-up, I must warn you, that you are not certain to be chosen for the quest, but obviously you'll have a lot more chance than if you don't sign-up at all. As always, we are happy to have new players. Feel free to ask any questions you want answered. Also, feel free to create your character.
  20. Without a healer in the troop, the team in the unlimited quest will only be able to last as long as their potions do. Alexis, from what I can see, doesn't even have any. I suppose Tesni can't use "respite" without being at a sanctuary.
  21. Don't worry, Pharos! New heroes are always joining the Hall and everyone starts at Level 1. There may be several Level 1 quests coming up soon as well. Just sign up for any of the available quests. Khorne's quest, for example, seems to have a lot of Level 1 sign-ups, so you'd make a great addition to that pack. Have fun, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
  22. "Don't listen to him, Eric!" I shout out. "His words will pollute you!" But it's too late, Eric has already succumbed to the demented mags gibberish. "Cast a spell? Sounds like a work of magic to me. I'm sorry, Elf, but I don't deal with magic. No good cleric does. We deal in the power of God, spells and that magic nonsense is for mages and their sort. I will have no part in it. I don't do spells." I strike the lunatic again from the back row. Forgive you? Nonsense. Let the ranting begin!
  23. I strike again from the back row. I could heal one of my quest mates, but Eric looks pretty tough and unaffected by the blow and Erdy does not look particularly disturbed either.
  24. Could we have the link to the scum writeboard for both Excalibur 1.0 and 2.0? Or is it a big bad secret?
  25. I zip behind the "demi-god" on my cross, and strike him from behind. "Take that, scummy devil!" I think it's safe to say that so long as we are not sustaining damage, we will keep on fighting like this, correct?
