Heroica RPG - Quest #42: The Meaning Of It All

"What do you know about glass!" I mumble. I snort at Eric, "As usual the young fellows these days are the last to offer their services for any inconvenient task."- 892 replies

Heroica RPG - Quest #42: The Meaning Of It All

I notice Eric lying down without his bedroll. "The way of drunkards. They sell off what possessions they have in the endless pursuit for more ale to satisfy them. As it turns out, it seems the you made a wise choice in not taking the mead, eh? Perhaps you will remember this lesson in the future. I pray you will for I have seen the quantity of the vile drink you carry about with you wherever you go. Believe me, young man, this endless drinking shall be your end. You can count on it." With that said, I proceed to hold my magnifying glass over Erdy's telescope in an attempt to search for traps at a distance. "Bah, humbug! I shall take the first shift. I suppose one of us three must stay awake at all times, in case of any roving cuthroats out to steal drink. "- 892 replies

Just to let you know, Raven Brickroft, your health is presently 7/7, while the Ogre's level is 15, so even if you stand in the back row, you would still be instantly knocked out if you role "damage." Therefore, if you attack next round, as opposed to using a potion on Scuba as he suggested, I would advise that you attack from the front row. Thanks, Brickdoctor. Okay, looking again, I saw it.

1 magic gold coin appears in Flare's inventory for no purpose whatsoever. I was reading in one of the older quests about Cleric's being immune to negative effects. I looked it up in the rules and couldn't find anything concerning it, so I guess this rule was discarded, correct?

The elf starts laughing for no apparent reason, in the middle of my monologue. I ignore the member of the foolishly gay and lively race and observe Eric pretending to be concerned over which beverage he took off our guest. "Don't be shy, youngling! We all know you're an drunkard. Go ahead and take the mead!"- 892 replies

Great for laughs. Thanks, Hinck! -
I just realized that Quest #36 has been the fourth longest quest (by number of pages) thus far. So much for Endgame giving us "short" quest. I also hate Capt.JohnPaul, but I hate Endgame more, I have a feeling that by the end of Quest #42 I will hate Flare most of all!

Eric's loud question revives me from my slumber. "Wha-wha-come on, let's get going! Out of my way, young'un." I seize my staff and begin marching down the path in no particular direction. Hearing Eric's last comment, I let out a little snarl. "Of course, I can keep up. Who do you think I am? I am a hero of Heroica Hall, not some old man." I snort. "Besides, I got my flying cross here with me. Have you heard how these things work? Especially powered, by the miracle-working strength of God himself. Of course, if I use this to fly, you would have to push my cart, but if it comes down to that I would warn you, if you in any way upset the cart, or the contents therein, I will have your coin to repay any damage, you hear? There are some pretty expensive and fragile elements therein that I would not appreciate if you jostle about. Now let's get moving." I turn away as the "old man" offers his beverages. "Mead?!? Ack! God forbid that I would drink that devil's brew. But how is the Stickleback Brew created. If it is anyway fermented I shall have to decline. Nevertheless, I would rather choose the enemy I am not sure is an enemy, then one that I am sure will do me harm. Therefore, I will take one of the "Stickleback Brews". Thank you very much Mister...um...what was it again?"- 892 replies

Can't wait to see this. Please let the bribe be open to anyone on the quest, and please let Monk Pretzel be on the quest with Cronk when it happens. What goody-goodies! I can see it now. Hybros and Guts rush back to the training room and return with "slaughter" written all over their faces...scary! And I thought the genie was the slow one. I think Pretzel is seeing if he will need to train to become a druid or if he will just develop roots on his own. Also, is it just me or are those artifacts in Quest #47 dirt cheap.

Hexes are good. ...Only squares are better. Spelling mistake fixed.

I continue snoaring blissfully, curled up in my cart. What a dream I am having. Gold, gold, and more...huh? What's that? A sword? What the devil! I hate these dremas that cut off just as they begin to get good. That's when you know you're dreaming. I role my eyes in my sleep, much like this little icon does. Or we could just travel round and round through off the trails, fighting enemies and gaining experience. Who needs an unlimited quest anyway.- 892 replies

Nah, Monk Pretzel would shun Thormanil for sure. He's not particularly fond of bare-breasted heroes, and presently it seems the Shaman - bare-breasted, eh? But now that you mention it, I think if Monk Pretzel ever does become party leader again he would really go the selfish route. Not sure about the not healing allies part though. Healing is about the only thing he's really useful for, but a charge...that's possible. Also, some of those pictures are really fantastic Flipz as far as the "body language" of the minifigs is concerned.

Oh, no wonder! I never use groups and the thought never entered my head.

Wow! This has shed a new light on my role. Thankfully Eric has Erdy to heal him, because he can't expect any heals from me. Monk Pretzel has just reached new levels of selfishness. Also, if I ever "Party Leader" a quest again, don't expect any fair loot distribution. The only items my underlings will get are the items that Monk Pretzel cannot use. Now I need to become a party leader again. But, more seriously speaking, your argument does make a lot of sense swils. Isn't Docken the only active hero in the hall besides the three going on Quest #47? He should go to the fields of glory on his own. Finally, we'll see him face some balanced enemies, suited specifically for him.

Any chance I could get a link to the dead writeboard, if there is one. I've been really good...for a dick. -
Become a Pretzelian Monk, my friend. I just realized that I've signed up Monk Pretzel for a quest that he is not at all in agreement with. This is harder than I thought it would be. I am really uncertain what he will do. Perhaps, just go along, not realizing quite what's going on around him.

Luckily for the alchemist, Monk Pretzel remains sleeping outside. Wow! I just don't see any way Monk Pretzel would agree to going on this quest if he heard that speech. It just reeks of blasphemy! Great to have you back in action here, Flare.- 892 replies

How the devil incarnate did so many villagers die in one night?!? Good luck, but I think you fellows are done for. -
Which version of SR 3D Builder are you using and which version of MLCad? I would think it's more likely a problem with MLCad than SR 3D Builder. It may still be a good idea to contact Sergio because it's possible that, once upon a long time ago, the .L3B format was not readable by MLCad, etc. For as long as I have been using SR 3D Builder, though, I have had no such problem. However, you shouldn't need to rename your file or export it to any other format. A .L3B file should open fine in MLCad or any other LDraw based programme, I believe.

Really?!? Why are you so certain you will be the one to do so? You'll be dead long before you reach the Fantome.
-
That's odd. I always open my .L3B files in MLCad without a problem for the final edits before I send them for rendering. The only error I have is that some parts are not found by MLCad, but this isn't really a problem, because LDView recognizes them just fine. It must be a problem with your version of MLCad or something.
