  1. What colour should I use for the minifig ghost's shroud? Thus far I've been using trans bright green, but I don't know if this is the best. What do you all think?
  2. I thought you'd wait with the progg quest until #42 was ended. I guess I need to pick up that lucky, lucky, lucky artifact : before I should consider fighting the proggs. Seriously, I hope you will wait for me. By the end of #42 I'll hopefully be an advanced class. Endgame, we were talking about the belt he had that allowed equipping three artifacts. But Combrys died too, it would seem.
  3. It died with Daxus.
  4. I swing forward on my flying cross and strike out at Malbert the Mage. "What exactly makes this ground 'holy?' Is it Saint Stefan's Holy 'spot.' Is it where he watered the brush in his voyage into Eubric? No? Then what, I pray you, makes it 'holy'?" I ignore Eric's meaningless comments, but then call back at him as I strike the Mage, "You are one to talk, are you? You who stands in the back and drinks beverages while we fight the fight for you?"
  5. Quest #42 ahould be called "Insanity Slayers." Very much enjoy the queer folk we've encountered thus far, Flare.
  6. "No indeed, I would rather not hear a lecture of any sort, but I am in no way ill-disposed to giving one. Young fellow, you behave in a most disrespectful manner to all of us around you. Even this 'gramps' of yours. All of us, of this I am almost certain, are your seniors, so you really musn't speak like that. Have you no manners whatsoever? Furthermore, what is the trouble you have with letting us pass through 'your territory.' Are you folk over here really that possessive? It's not like we're going to steal the earth out from under your feet, although I do believe Erdy did take some. ...which reminds me..." I use this opportune moment to dig in the sacred earth for some gold.
  7. I didn't really find words necessary. Flare are all your insane enemies there for a reason. I get the impression that the next thing we know we will be fighting Monk Pretzel himself.
  8. "Kid, your attitude is most unbecoming for a child of your age. I mean, I would love to turn back right now frankly, but we have a job to do and we just happen to need to pass through 'your'" I spit "'territory'." "Old fellow," I say to the man who has got to be at least a couple of hundreds years younger than me, in fact probably closer to Eric's age than my own, "talk some sense into the grandchild of yours. Does he really think we mean you or your kind any harm?"
  9. Wow! This MOC is fantastic! I really ought to spend more time in the history forum.
  10. I made this topic a while back, maybe we should use it, since that's what I made it for.
  11. Yes, I assumed this too. Thanks for your input in regards to the colours. Don't know if this is the right place to discuss these things?
  12. Would Ellaria actually lose one ether? I would think that her action would eiter become null or it would change to an attack. I guess I always thought of it in the same light as if a player attacks an enemy, but the enemy is killed before the player's turn, then the player's attack is switched to another enemy. So for healing I sort of assumed that if the target no longer needed healing, the healing would be switched too. Also, I don't know if it's entirely fair for some of the Level 1s in quest #44, because they were targetting weaker opponents, but those opponents got knocked out which automatically pitched them against stronger opponents who knocked them out.
  13. This is something I wondered: I always used to use the "Minifig Head with Messy Hair and Moustache Pattern (LDraw Part Number: 3626BP30)" for the "Minifig Head with Messy Hair, Moustache and Stubble Pattern (LDraw Part Number: 3626BP35)" because the latter didn't exist at the time. I also have been using the "Minifig Head with Messy Hair, Moustache, and Beard Pattern (LDraw Part Number: 3626BP33) for the "Minifig Head with Messy Hair, Moustache, and Brown Beard Vertical Lines Pattern (Not an LDraw Part Yet)". However, I was wondering whether the ones I used to use are actually patterns that LEGO made or if they were just invented by LDraw. Another thing I was wondering about is, what colour is Red-Brown (as Bricklink calls it) of the pirate from "1713-Shipwrecked Pirate" (though he appeared in many more sets than just that one). I believe it is also the same colour as the Imperial Soldier from the "6245-Harbour Sentry," etc. (Though the latter's hair colour is just called "brown" in bricklink. I used to use red for all of these figures with the "Red-Brown" hair colour, but there must be a "correct" colour. Also, the "Reddish-Brown" of more modern sets doesn't look right either, but this is the closest colour I can get, as far as name is concerned. I hope I made myself somewhat clear with these questions. Thanks in advance.
  14. From what I can recall I am Obi-Wan Kenobi and you are Anakin Skywalker. Who are you calling a "young one?"
  15. No, I'm totally with you on that one.
  16. "Come on. Up and out you all. Let's get a move on," I proclaim loudly as I head on down the path having no clue as to where I'm going or what I'm supposed to do once there.
  17. Maurice is back at last!
  18. LDraw has a greater variety of minifig designs, but LDD has more of the newer ones. Neither programme is has nearly enough in my opinion, but ah well, it's what we have for now.
  19. Agreed. It was a great moment. Nerwen has always struck me as being that kind of character who would give to the little guy even though it didn't really benefit anyone. Normally, before a quest, I check the inventory, whether this is good or bad I don't know, of the party I will be travelling with. For example, before Quest #36, no one bought Phoenix Essences, so I stocked up on a couple of those. Before Quest #42, however, I already had one and I figured that Erdy was a druid, so Phoenix Essences wouldn't be a huge need, so I instead just got some more Grand Tonics and the like.
  20. In my opinion, it's entirely up to the owner of the Phoenix Essence. If the player revived has a phoenix essence in their inventory, they should probably consider giving it to their reviver as payment. A lot of the lower level heroes, obviously, do not have money for Phoenix Essences. Therefore, you could give it to them on condition that they pay back, if they are willing to do this, or you just give it to them in all good charity. In Quest #44, there is absolutely no need to give the Phoenix Essences out to the players currently KOed (besides possibly William), because it's not like their getting one more level of experience would greatly benefit anyone, so it would more just be charity I guess. Ultimately, it's up to you, obviously, and I don't think you should feel bad about keeping it for a time that really matters. I would just add that I don't think it's in any way the responsibility of Clerics to provide their team with Phoenix Essences, every man can buy them at the market if he/she so chooses. I was actually thinking that at the beginning of the quest a hero with Phoenix Essences can hand them to other heroes to be used solely for the hero who paid for the Phoenix Essence, or if he gives permission. You could always discuss a "handling" fee.
  21. I totally agree with this. If the enemy has a low level and a ridiculously high HP, then it just drags the battle out unnecessarily, because it's, generally speaking, not like that kind of enemy will put the party in serious danger anyway. The party will defeat him easily enough, it will just take a long time to do. Don't worry about it too much. You got revenge on Capt.JohnPaul and that's all that matters. We're all improving. It's not like I've hosted before anyway.
  22. Just a few words in regards to Quest #46: Honestly, I was a bit disappointed in this one, Endgame. After you put so much into "The Voracious Vault," this quest seemed to be quite a let down. There didn't really seem to be any serious plotline, but just one battle after the next, which, I suppose, was the point, but in my opinion, it kind of made the quest lose its charm. I guess, generally speaking, I enjoy quests more when there is quite a detailed, well thought-out storyline, rather than just "will the heroes survive" battles. That could be just me though, but in general I am that kind of person I suppose. For instance, I find Rumble Strike's quests highly entertaining and enjoyable to read over. From what I have seen, the battles do not seem difficult. In general, I would actually consider them quite easy, but I find the world he builds in them very captivating and it really makes one want to be a part of it, even if it is fairly simple. In my opinion, even if a quest has insanely easy battles (although there obviously has to be balance) if the plot is well thought out, it would still make for an entertaining read and enjoyable role-playing. When battles last too long, it grows wearisome for all participating, I think. I hope this wasn't too "bashing". I really liked your first quest, Endgame. I can see why you started using the "No smoke bomb" rule after we fled so many times in the last quest, but I have to agree with Sandy here. People buy smoke bombs for a reason, and I think it's a bit unfair to consistently deny someone the privelege of using such an item, after they spend their money to buy it. Same goes for bedrolls.
  23. I awake with a start as a violent rush of profanities push themselves out of the mouth of the Norse. In an instant, he is charging blindly away into the forest. I turn to Erdy, "I tell you, the man has gone insane. See him now, rushing about like a lunatic. Where, in God's name, does he think he is off to? Abandoning us, is he? We will show him that we don't need him on our team. Useless tramp." The Norse returns shortly later in hardly better spirits, and begins barking commands. "Really, young fellow, I suggest you brew yourself a soothing beverage! It may help in releasing some of that pent up steam. Oh, of course, you haven't a pot. Not a wise move when out on a quest like this. Don't think you can use mine!"
  24. I love this face. The poor guy really looks helpless. Not exactly how I'd picture a Norseman, but still great. In other news, I see the revenge on Sorrow has begun!
