  1. "I would say it's a bit high for a weapon that's weaker than either of my crosses. Something closer to 100 seems more reasonable."
  2. ...And walruses are Fabuland's greats! I haven't owned Fabuland minifigs since I was a tiny tot, but I still remember the walrus being my favourite of them. I was pretty tickled to get to play as one.
  3. "A flail? I wouldn't have considered it yesterday, but that snob in the Training Room seems to think that a Flying Cross is not exactly suitable to a Paladin. Times have changed. He's got to change along with them, and yes this cross is a weapon. Don't be fooled. I've slain many a creature with it. The power of God possesses it and shine through the gems I have encrusted therein. How much for the flail? From the looks of it, it doesn't seem as strong as the Cross of Light in my possession, does it have any unique features that would make it more appealing?"
  4. "250? You're in luck I made a small fortune doing some dragon-curing in Dastan just now. Your price is high, but your product it good. I'll take it. You're a rogue. I doubt you have anything suitable to a cleric like me." I shrug. I hand Atramor 250 gold. 575 - 250 = 325 gold remaining.
  5. I enter the Training Room, a Level 16 Cleric... "Oh, it's you again," the Fox forces a smile. "Yes, I'm back for my paladin training." "I told you it wasn't the best class for you," he frowns a little. "You are not God. You don't know everything." He sighs. "Alright, let's see it." I pull out the shield. Having refurbished it so it's lighter to hold. He tosses a few casual thrusts and blows in my direction which I block and deflect. "Well, I can't see myself getting much better out of you without reducing your age..." I breathe heavily from my exertion. "Let me see your weapon." I pull out my Flying Cross and charge him with it. He swats me out of the air and roars with laughter. "Flying on a glorified broomstick with a shield in hand? This is quite a spectacle. Quite a spectacle indeed!" I fume and reach for my Cross of Light, but seize the Steak instead. "What's that? Your other weapon? Really, I would suggest you spend some money on a sword or something that can do some actual damage or you will be the laughing stock of the Hall." I fume and storm out of the Training Room, the Fox's laughter trailing after me. ... Sometime passes... ... I return to the Training Room. "Back again?" the Fox says, wearily this time. My only reply is to swing my flail in his direction. "A good weapon," he nods thoughtfully, "albeit not the strongest. The weight of it should deal quite a blow to any enemies though." I nod. That was why I bought it, wasn't it? I could have easily purchased a similar weapon at the marketplace for 50 gold otherwise. "Well, Cleric" he says, a bit eager to get rid of me, "let's see how you will do as a Paladin. After an hour or so, I emerge from the Training Room as a Paladin. Monk Pretzel and His 99 Pieces 463-year-old male "Hermit" Level 16, Paladin Power: 26 (Level 16 + WP: 10) Defense: 12 (7 + 3 + 2) HP: 36/36 (9 + 15 + 10 + 2) Ether: 30/30 (5 + 15 + 1 + 5 + 4)
  6. I feel somehow renewed. It feels really good actually. "Genuine, it is, it appears. How much for it?"
  7. "Well, seeing that you're obviously desperate to get rid of it and you would get 150 from the elf at the marketplace...230 seems reasonable. I am a generous man." I survey the tattered figure with the goofy hat and hair up and down. "Is there a guarantee that it's genuine?"
  8. "You'd do well to do so. A drunk object of his nature can't be good for anyone." I post a notice on the board: Anyone selling high-SP artifacts suitable for clerics, please contact me. Seeing the #68 team heading out and not wanting to be stuck in the hall again for a long period of time. I sign up for Quest #69. "Solving murders is actually totally up my alley!"
  9. Yeah, I thought of that as well and it's still a possibility to stick with him as a cleric all the way up to prophet, but I kind of do want to test out the advanced classes, especially since Paladin is more or less a cleric that can hold a shield. The only problem is I'm not sure if I'm willing to give up Miracle for Guardian Angel. One thing I noticed and was kind of disturbed over is the fact (correct me if I'm wrong) that Necromancer is the only Expert Class that allows a hero to use regular cleric-y weapons, e.g: staff or broomstick.
  10. The way you posted, I think. I don't know, but I would have been very surprised if anyone didn't think you were Twatty. Odd thing, I realized that I wasn't in communication with any of the scum by PM, don't know how that happened.
  11. Any ideas about selling the Robe of the Archmagi, CMP? How did I miss your post. Trying to think if the extra one SP is worth the cost. I don't really care about the ether.
  12. It feels great when a rogue tries to outbid you, but you have more gold than the rogue does. But it's not like Monk Pretzel has a problem with being enamored, although I think Flipz may tell you otherwise. I'll pass on it. That's the problem. I kind of want to make a plan for Pretzel before I purchase something more costly like that. If I'm going Sage, for instance, than the flail is useless. I also want to see if anyone is selling any items with better SP than the ones I have that are suitable for clerics in case I need to dish out a larger sum of money.
  13. I have so much to say about this game, but I've been so busy lately and my mind is really scattered. It was a great game, Hinckley. Really it was. I think the idea of nobody knowing who anyone else done made it a whole lot more fun, although to a certain extent more difficult for town. Wow! I'm so embarrassed, I never realized that I had been redirected from Gertrude to Helena. I don't know what I was thinking. Hinckley, you said on Night Three that you were expecting me to change my target. Why were you expecting that? ...Just wondering. I think there were a couple things that made me really suspicious of Barkonius. One was that just the day before a couple of people by PM mentioned that he was scummy and stuff. I would've understood a second doctor claim, but a second bodyguard didn't seem to make so much sense to me. I still wanted to lean towards caution and I think I even mentioned to Nightshroud (or was it someone else?) that it would probably be safer to lynch the one-shot useless protector than the bodyguard. Then I heard that Barkonius was claiming a bodyguard role that had 50% chance of surviving when protected an attacked person. This claim seemed a bit too convenient for me. Still I thought it wise to poke around, in the thread somewhat cautiously. I thought Barkonius' response was pretty scummy so it seemed he was the right choice. In hindsight, it probably would have been better to lynch Helena, but I think at the stage of the game lynching neutral was simply not good enough in my mind because we first had to stop scum from winning. Furthermore, I kind of didn't think that Helena would target me, Belinda, or the vig, so I thought in that case there was good chances she would get scum if she did have a killing action, which I didn't think she had. I thought this post: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=82235entry1588130 should have helped to clarify matters enough. I guess I could've linked to Barkonius' post. I had compiled lists similar to the one I made against Ariattny, but I lost them all except for that one as I was working on them. I tried to get my mind together and remember what my conclusions were for that post I made at the end, but these past two weeks have been really hectic for me. I think one of town's problems was that there was too much mistrust among us. Obviously Belinda had issues trust me and Barkonius. I was unsure about her myself, because she seemed like a real townie to me, but then some of what she said seemed kind of off, so I was unsure. I would once again like to apologize for breaking the rules on Day 2, but I wonder how that would have confirmed me or the others as being town. The scum could have done the same thing against a townie, no? I still have the hardest time understanding what Wong was trying to tell me and the rest of us by PM on Day 2. I was so certain that lynch would be right. I don't think so, Twatty was obviously you. I had you pinned as Twatty before the game even started, and I wasn't even trying to find out who was who. Was I being a dick? If so, I didn't mean to be. Day 4 kind of ruined the game for me with all the shouting and arguing. I found it very difficult to focus on anything, which is not good, because those are the times when one can actually catch the scum the most easily.
  14. "Looks like some fangled walking bottle to me. And it talks. I hear there are people in Eubric trying to bring such things into the city."
  15. Cool. I'd gladly go on one of your quests. I may be the knight you need, although I need to think about whether Pretzel will actually go paladin or not...and now I need to think of a reason for him to sign-up after he didn't earlier. By the way, are there any sales going on in the Hall that I should know about, before I start making plans for a spending spree at the Marketplace?
  16. "My good man, what the devil is that abomination trailing behind you?"
  17. I don't understand. What do you mean by this? Honestly, it sounds like #69 will be some kind of whodunnit which would require a lot of thinking. Right now I want to take a break from thinking. I also want to see how busy I'll be before signing up for a quest. Don't want to commit to something I can't actually deliver on. How long will the quest be?
  18. I don't think Pretzel has ever drunk a mead and he probably won't because he is who he is. He sniffed smelling salts once, but he probably won't do that again. If I recall he fainted last time. Have to re-read #36.
  19. Or, you know, you could just make it easy and have him killed by Atramor the next time they encounter chaos beasts. Or, as I said, previously, Atramor kills off Haldor and then dies of free hits...or whatever. Maybe because of that. Great! Any idea when you will be rolling this quest?
  20. It's called a deal he can't refuse.
  21. It's a lot more awesome than death by crazy demi-god. I fought and killed one of those. I've never killed a witch. Besides, wouldn't it be great reading the story of Arthur's life, and just when you think he's been saved from his mental issues, by getting stabbed by his god, Atramor pulls a fast one? Epic stuff!
  22. I miss Kadabra. I have to say it was great seeing him in the latest Mafia though. Hopefully, he'll show up here soon.
  23. Wow! Is Sylph the best tank ever, or whatever. Brickdoctor, you'll have a hard time beating somebody with more than double your HP in SP and able to heal himself as well. Sorry, but the days of Docken the tank are over.
  24. I enter the hall, my cart trundling behind me. Snacking on a pretzel, I make my way over to the questboard to see if there's anything of importance or significant interest. Seeing a quest about some fangled play I've never heard of, I upturn my nose and snort. Fighting rats? And they require high-ranked heroes. I snort again. Sounds like someone has cash to splash and they're looking for a popular hero to impress their crowds with. It's poppycock to me! I look over the next quest. Something about attempting to find the killer of a dead man. I frown. I don't feel up to this right now. I need a break. The sign-ups are closing in several days, so I can always wait until then and if I feel up for it, I can sign up. I fondle my pouch of gold, wondering how I could put it to the best use.
  25. "Well, then, I suppose I shall see you all at the Hall. May God be with you, Captain."
