  1. I know. What's with those smooth-talking kitties!
  2. "Don't mistake disgust for fear. It's a common problem among abominations. They think they are powerful, because they inspire fear, but unfortunately, their pride prevents them from seeing what the person truly thinks of them." "Meh, that Foxy fellow wouldn't allow me to officially become a Paladin without a "real" weapon. Humbug to him! You are looking rather well yourself, Erik. Your parents have been taking good care of you, I'll wager. I just got back from questing with the young Rogue, Mizuki. She's gone assassin now. Noticed her hacking down men and creepy crawlers alike in the quickest of strokes. We went to Dastan to cure a dragon of a wicked parasite. It all went rather well, I am pleased to say. Some amazing winged people hired us. I noticed you signing up for the latest quest. It would be good to quest together again. I am hoping my status as a Paladin will enable me to go on the current quest. Solving murder mysteries sounds like a worthwhile task, truth be told. You wouldn't happen to have any elemental gems in your possession or scrolls for that matter, do you?"
  3. No, Monk Pretzel likes necklaces too. He bought it in the meantime. Nah, I think Docken still has it.
  4. "Erik, lad, how has fortune favoured you of recent. It's been quite a while since we defeated those demons of hell in that vault, eh? What were they called again? Proggs! The little puny one who you fellows insisted on saving, hung around in my cart for far longer than necessary, but then I went on a quest and I haven't seen him sine. Good riddance to bad rubbish as they saying goes. How has life for you been though? Have you gone on many quests since our last one?" "'The Stalker'? Can't say it sounds familiar. I have heard that there is an insane knight walking around who calls himself Dak. Says it's an 'alternate personality' or something bizarre. The guys a complete loony. The name 'Dak' does not therefore leave the greatest impression. Your surname is 'Shadeaux' you say? Related to the 'Shadeaux Family' in any way? I just met one of them on my last quest actually. Pleasant girl!"
  5. "Ah, yes, I remember now. We had a few abominations hanging around that hall then. Thank God I don't see any besides this sub-woofer in front of me. You're a better sort than some ranger. I must say that Rangers, in general, seem a better sort than most others, but every once in a while one may find a decent rogue or barbarian, if you look hard for them." "As the Warden said, you know full-well that you cannot be slain. So why should I fight you? For personal pride in beating down a young man (if you can truly be called that)? You should know that I fight out of necessity, not for pride. Your insistence on battle reveals the hidden fear within you though. By the way, you haven't happened to see the Barbarian Alisha around anytime recently, have you? I believe I have a bone to pick with her. You know Barky Barkster, I must have mentioned it before, but you really remind me of that constantly-fantasizing knight. What was his name? Ah, yes, Leo! Do you know of whom I speak? Poor kid had some mental issues as I recall it." I write furiously on a parchment and post it up for all in the Hall to see. Looking for someone willing to sell elemental gems or scrolls. Contact Pretzel (Hero with a cart who can actually store his equipment safely).
  6. I would imagine anyone with a shield of that strength wouldn't be too eager to sell it. You seem to have been around here for a while. You speak knowledgeably of many things, and one must have been around the hall for a long time to have spent such a great amount of gold on a shield of that calibre and not be a rogue of some sort. Bloody thieves!"
  7. Which is what is so awesome about it. Really, I thought that was the place we go to when we want battles to take a long time and where we don't need to get that horrendous thing called "XP" for them.
  8. I suppose, although I would think that it should be that he who strikes first puts in his action first, so in that way he's at a slight disadvantage, but I guess it doesn't really matter. I don't use the arena anyway.
  9. "Have it your way. Only a fool allows another to force him to make his point. The swim through the avalanche of negative words to a better place." I return to my table, kick my feet up on my cart, and chaw on an over-sized piece of dried beef. "Heh! My teeth aren't what they used to be." "I didn't get a chance to see, do you have a new shield already or you have yet to buy one? This Fancy Shield, here, is fairly strong for starting out with, but of course nothing compared to your monster, if the life of a Paladin becomes weary to me, then perhaps I will sell it to you."
  10. But I was thinking Pretzel's reputation in the hall would make up for it. Is it just me or does anyone else think that conditional actions should not be allowed in the arena.
  11. "Well, I suppose only rogues are allowed to do that sort of rifling. It's funny because one would imagine the known evil to be better than the unknown one, but you don't look like the brightest chap, and from my memory of your words, you weren’t, so I'll save my words for another. Good day to you!" "Can't say I remember you, kid. When did we meet?" "Waiting for Adamantite? That could be a long wait, but your plan is sound. What if someone were to offer you the money upfront now, though, you'd be stuck for a while without the shield that you've grown to rely on." "Can't say I recall you either, kid, oh wait, maybe I do...I don't converse with your sort on a normal basis. Perhaps teach yourself some manners before you go about your life. You should know that I don't fight in the arena and as the barbarian woman...time has taken her name from my memory, but as she said on that day we met, some time back ... ah, yes, Alisha was her name ... anyway, her words were that there was no way that you could ‘take’ me, and furthermore that I could defeat you in one hit. I wouldn’t put it past me now either. You should know that I’ve got a mighty weapon in this,” I pull out the steak from my trunk. “Slew a vampire, your sort, with this in just one hit. The devil squealed like a banshee. It’s unfortunate that I disregard you kids' playful fights. I only fight for a worthwhile cause.”
  12. "You would be surprised. That man with the patch, for instance, was snooping through everyone in the hall's belongings. I wouldn't be surprised if he was looking through your items as well and you never noticed." "Unfortunately, I am no rogue. Money is hard to come by, but I'll consider your offer the next time I receive a windfall of some kind. You're a Warden I take it, if you sell the shield, wouldn't you feel rather naked."
  13. "I didn't take anything. Furthermore, I've noticed more than a few people snooping around and no one saying anything. I thought it's just what people do around here. Do you have a problem with it? Would you, perchance, be interested in selling any of those scrolls or gems?"
  14. I veto. ...I'm not really sure why, but it seems like the right thing to do.
  15. "No. Not particularly. Nice shield..." I continue to snoop through Docken's bag.
  16. Yeah, the Mongolian hat has to be one of my favourite hats that LEGO has produced. As I said before, I'm still longing for the day when I will make my golden horde. I have yet to collect my first hat like that though. Oh, and great to see you back Myrddyn. Perhaps Pretzel, Mizuki, and Erik will quest again someday. We are actually all in the Hall at present.
  17. I spy a hero wandering aimlessly through the Hall. "My word! Erik is that you?" I call over.
  18. I snoop through people's inventories looking for cheap consumables and any other interesting items that they may be selling.
  19. Hmm, just noticed what I assume is Stigveladi's new look on your avatar.
  20. CMP, Pretzel is a Paladin now. How's that for your knight?
  21. I trade in my Scrap Metal for 25 gold and peruse the wears, thinking of what I will purchase next. 225 + 25 = 250 gold remaining.
  22. Yeah, I was thinking about doing some wallpaper renderings with the pirate sets since I'm finished the classic ones at least. I haven't gotten around to doing many official sets recently or making any plans for a project like that, but maybe in the future. It sounds like it would be great!
  23. He was going to be a 2-year-old wonder kid.
  24. Monk Pretzel cackles moronically. I hand over 100 gold to Atramor and takes the Heavy Flail. 325 - 100 = 225 gold remaining. With renewed confidence, I head over to the Training Room.
  25. You totally called my second character!
