  1. I really missed the fun this time around and I can't say I even had time to check the day threads more than to see who had gotten killed. It really did look pretty great though, Tammo! I hope to be able to participate in a Mafia game sometime in the near future.
  2. Actually, back row enemies may not be too terrible because their HP could be reduced, since they'll likely be taking less damage, so that would make venoms more worthwhile against them. I don't think bombs are affected by row, are they?
  3. "So, what do we want our strategy to be? Should I put the paralyzing venom on Erik's blade and we put our luck on him (so to speak), that would eliminate the free hits and enable us to take them down one at a time? Or, should I try to use the Scroll of Disenchantment again, and the Druid attempts to put to sleep Gontzo or so, and we hope to be able to break their free hits like that? Of course, since I can take the most damage, it may be worthwhile for me to attack instead of using a Scroll so we could hasten the druid and I could give him my Scroll. If Nessa gives the Tricorn to the demon, then Erik could tank the girl's hit, the demon could tank their tank's hits, and I could tank one and attack the other of the elf and their captain. Nessa could then take on the cleric, and the druid could attempt to put the fatso to sleep, of course, if Erik goes on the ravage it would probably wake the slug up. Then there is also the fact that the druid will not be able to take many hits from the sluggard if he fails in putting him to sleep or blinding him.
  4. It gives the user in the Enraged-effect but the target the Afraid-effect. Although, apparently, enemies aren't allowed to be Afraid. Heroes aren't that scary I guess.
  5. This topic loaded before the other, I didn't realize that CMP had already done the round.
  6. "Demon, hand those tonics to the druid. Druid, you may as well down them and heal us all (besides Erik) while you're at it. What do we want our strategy to be? I imagine the big oaf will be all heavily armoured again, and that elf may have downed some of his consumables. Do you think I should try again with this scroll, if that's the case?" "Otherwise, you could Blind the Elf or the slug or put the slug to sleep. The question is, who do we want our target to be. It's useless to go after the girl early on until we defeat her papa. Her hits are weak anyway. I would think we should go for the healer again, but maybe he's not such an issue." "Does somebody feel that they need a snack before going in?" I hold up my Tasty Pretzel.
  7. Unless there is a specific clause saying it can't be used from the back row (haven't seen a weapon like this before though...I think ) then you can use it to deal half damage but still give the effect.
  8. Will we be allowed to flee and come back or should I not ask?
  9. We don't have another neutralizer, but if Flipz is correct about the scrolls (which he must be. ), then it's use is not as bad as I feared. Pie, would the enemy's effects return?
  10. "If you had done your job of healing we wouldn't be in this mess. You could also have let us know that you have the ability to put enemies to sleep," I retort angrily. "You could've suggested a change a long time ago." Didn't notice you had that scroll somehow.
  11. I believe 50/50 chance of casting means after one's already rolled 1-3. Otherwise it wouldn't say that, but I'm waiting for CMP to confirm, if it's your way I'll use it. Right now I don't mind much. If Pie says we can flee and come back, then that seems to make the most sense. Otherwise, maybe we could bump up the actions for round two. Reg won't be able to get paralyzed, but at least we will only need to worry about his free hit. I'm not sure how paralysis works against Big Red, but once the others are paralyzed we can take him down and then destroy the others at our leisure. I suppose we not need to remove his "encouraged" at all, but it may waste unnecessary ether. I'm open to any ideas though.
  12. Oh? I must have forgot about that. That's right. Die!
  13. If I'm not correct the scroll just has a one out of four chance of working. (roughly speaking) "That's a possibility, but I feel my mental strength running low. Really the neutralizer is more or less just for Reg's benefit. I'd rather not delay the plan unnecessarily and it would be wasteful to paralyze someone and then cure them with the neutralizer, but what does the rest of the party think?" I'd really appreciate if you guys would try to speak up more if you have ideas. I've been sick and hardly able to get on the last couple of days, but I've said more than some of you.
  14. Wasn't Cronk supposed to give the Wolpertinger to Altair?
  15. "We won't be able to deal with these free hits much longer while still dishing out a substantial amount of damage, so here is my proposal: Battle Order: >Pretzel: Neutralizer >Dreyrugr: Big Red (Crow Claw Dagger) >Erik: Big Red (Twin Axe: Double) >Nessa: Big Red (Silver Crossbow) >Sylph: Heal Pretzel This will prevent Reg from being a serious damage dealer, but works towards my next plan: Potential Battle Order Next Round: >Pretzel: Paralyzing Venom on Twin Axe >Sylph: --- >Nessa: Nostrum on Erik >Erik: Big Red (Twin Axe: Him and Little Red) Dreyrugr: --- "What think you all?
  16. Well, we'll try to make do without it. How does the Scroll of Disenchantment work? It's a 50/50 chance of being successful on rolls of 1, 2, or 3, correct?
  17. I'm not sure how my exactly my Tasty Pretzel is supposed to work, does it give me a 1 out of three chances to gain the three mentioned positive effects and two out of three chances to gain nothing, or does it give me one out of three positive effects? Perhaps Sandy, who approved the item or B&P who came up with it can clarify, unless it's clear to the rest of you?
  18. But Blinding and Sealing works differently for enemies. Sealing prevents their special damages and Blinding prevents their regular Damage. From the FAQ.
  19. If we Blind Big Red, he wouldn't heal himself on rolls of Damage, right?
  20. "Does anyone have any other ideas? I suppose we should continue smashing at him since his fragilization lasts."
  21. "What was not part of what deal?" I query, somewhat confused. "Certainly, none of us will go down this battle, and if one of us happens to the others will surely restore him or her."
  22. In that case, if I have a ranged weapon, I would also deal full power to an enemy in the back row, correct?
  23. "Good, good, I was a little worried back there." Nessa should no longer be sealed.
  24. I've actually read that book.
  25. I think we'll just ignore Big Red at some point and hit the others. I still have a secret weapon, but I don't like wasting consumables when not absolutely necessary.
