  1. It just sucks because everyone that reports Lego has to now pretend as if this isn’t happening. I just want the cat out of the bag so we can all discuss it properly For all that are concerned, look at the full picture of the back of the box that Lego_news posted on ig. It looks so good!
  2. Sorry, took it out of my post.
  3. Besides a Rita Skeeter, which I mean let’s be real wasn’t necessarily required for a DA set, which minifigures are people wanting that they can’t get currently? The way I see it, minifigures are the easiest thing to buy and don’t really need to be part of the set as long as they’re available.
  4. I was right with you man, my initial impression was meh. Look at it from the front view on the back of the box though, it definitely has character! Minifigures are not why I was excited for the set, so to me it’s not a big deal. I can see why a lot of people are disappointed though. All I really care about is that PS Harry - I Want him so badly!
  5. Ok for anyone disappointed, check out the picture on the back of the box that shows the set from the front. It looks so beautiful! Much much better than the angle at the front of the box. So much more hype and immersive!
  6. How much do you think it would cost to replace all the pink bricks on QQS with red bricks. I definitely prefer the red/yellow combo on the micro scale version
  7. I just got mine there! It’s $46 so not terrible
  8. I think if they bought an old DA set this year, they are aware enough of the Lego world to know this was coming
  9. I just bought the 2019 Advent Calendar before it gains a lot of value from being retired. Excited to put the flags and tables in DA!
  10. Think there are a few options floating around. 1. A new GWP that will come alongside the set 2. A polybag or book accessory 3. A new set altogether I totally understand the disappointment, but I would definitely recommend to at least wait until we see it officially. I think a lot of us have come to the conclusion that the box is kinda...not great. Like all Lego sets, this will look much better in person.
  11. I think I am going to buy both the advent calendar sets now to add accessories onto this set. Little trinkets here and there will go a long way to make it feel like that crowded DA in Philosopher’s Stone
  12. I agree, I think the exterior needs more business and the sidewalk could extent out more. The buildings themselves already look amazing! Luckily these things won’t be too hard to add ourselves.
  13. If they do release a B&B, even if it’s next year, how are we supposed to display the set? I hope to see a Gringotts or Leaky Cauldron first just because it’ll add to the set horizontally for us displaying it in one direction.
  14. The main reason I wish they officially revealed it is so we could have a proper discussion and hear the reactions of everyone in the Lego industry! Right now it feels weirdly quiet for such a megaton drop. I think this set is going to be so fun to add to, street lights and mini figures and LED lights will make this set really pop! And of course expansions
  15. Honestly I like the year 1 Harry minifigure more than every single one in the actual set lol
  16. I think it’s Marcos Bessa based on it’s similarities to the Disney sets but who knows. No matter who it is I hope they know how much we love it! It’s clear how much care has been put into it.
  17. Yea Ninjago City is example of a set that feels alive and crowded. I know it’s a high bar to expect DA to do the same, but yea. I think it’s partially my fault because I put a lot of expectations on this set, especially as it’s been the thing I’ve been looking forward to for months. Now that it’s hear I’m a bit down :(
  18. At this point it could be revealed on my birthday (August 26th) never thought that was a possibility ?
  19. I totally agree ? the box art makes it feel a bit grey. This is why you don’t wait a week before to officially release it Lego! The set is beautiful and it deserves a proper reveal
  20. Yea there’s something that feels “off” with the box art. Oh well when you separate that from the actual set the street is obviously gorgeous! Now I can buy other sets to get mini figures and lighten it up a bit :) Definitely excited that they are planning on expanding it! I cannot wait for Gringotts
  21. You’re right, I totally think it’s the box art! Why is everyone so spread apart? I think we really need like 6 or 7 more mini figures. like you said though, that’s probably the easiest thing to add!
  22. Also, I wish there was a more hyped official reveal. It feels like Lego wants to pretend this doesn’t exist and sneak it into their stores September 1st
  23. I don’t know guys, maybe I had too high expectations, but something about the set feels “dead”. Like the street isn’t even there, the mini figures look so uninterested - it doesn’t feel like that awe-inspiring Diagon Alley you see in the first movie. I’m on my phone in bed so will post more impressions later. For now, I just don’t know if this is $400 cool, ya know? :( This set NEEDS Gringotts
  24. Man thinking about it more, this set is going to be so much fun to build! There will be very little repetition. Most sets I like are the big ones with a lot of repeated steps so it’s a nice change of pace.
  25. So according to @Falconfan1414 the new Ninjago set is around 5,800 pieces. So Diagon Alley is going to be surpassed twice within its first few months of release ?
