  1. Of course this is construction equipment. Exactly how I see it. Let's not be too restrictive. Great choice. Proceed!
  2. Hi. First you start a new topic starting with [TC22]. You need to post your progress there. And when you are done, you make a single post in the entry topic. The first post in the entry topic tells you what you need to post.
  3. I was thinking about this answer as well. And this seems to be the concensus, so let’s go for this.
  4. That is actually an interesting and valid question. I would like to hear the "people's" opinion on this. I am inclined to allow this, but both models need to be construction vehicles. So not a truck that transports another vehicle. I'd rather say no to this question, but I am not sure why I would disallow it.
  5. The calculator app on your phone or computer will do fine. Simple measure the length, width and height of the model in studs and multiply them (see the examples). We don't need cubic centimeters or something, just the 3 dimensions in studs multiplied. Maybe it's better to remove that. It is a left-over from TC9 and this won't be a voting criteria this time. Done! Although I personally do prefer models which could be an actual set. Therefore, I would not use electronics in this scale and go for manual functions. But I am not sure whether the public jury is on my side, so it's up to each of you to decide.
  6. Yeah, we did that once, but I was about to ask you guys in which contest hehe. The list of contents is in the index, so if you really want you can open all the discussion topics.
  7. It doesn't have to be a cube. There are examples in the rules.
  8. There is ample room for a big family Yup, I have removed limitations on electronics and pull-back etc.
  9. That is more like a daily family car Kidding of course; that's does seem like a construction vehicle to me.
  10. We have quarterly deadlines for requesting prizes, so we need to wrap this one up by the end of May, so we still have time to use one of the two Q2 requests.
  11. Hi. Welcome to EB That is the million dollar question hehe. I don't have an exact answer to that one. Vehicles specially designed for executing construction tasks, most frequently ones involving earthwork operations or other large construction tasks. Heavy equipment usually comprises five equipment systems: implementation, traction, structure, power train, control and information. (wikipedia) If you are in doubt, simply ask if your idea is allowed.
  12. Exactly. And you can find similar solutions for your "problem" in official sets (or NMOCs) and learn from those.
  13. As with most things, practice makes perfect. I am software engineer and I hate to look at the code I wrote ten or twenty years ago. Why? Because I became better. Why did I became better at it? Because I have learned what works and what doesn't. I have watched Youtube videos, read books, blog posts etc. In simple words (and other have said this already), build, learn, build, learn, build, learn. There is no failure, you just gained more experience.
