[TC12] Caterwheelerpillar
Jim replied to JDL1967's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Nice! Me like. Perfect building weather today here in Holland, so I can only assume you will make some progress -
Your prayers have been answered. Good luck with going on today Maybe we need a place to track the [TC12] topics. Any suggestions? Collect them in the entry topic? Make a separate locked topic? Collect them in the 1st or 2nd post of this topic?

Technic 2018 Set Discussion
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You can post your LDD replica. -
Like Milan said, you can create your very own special [TC12] topic! Looking forward to what you come up with. Hopefully we will get some topic soons, because that's part of the fun!

Hi, Please only embed images with a maximum width of 1024 pixels. Since you are using Flickr, you can easily link to a smaller version. Fixed them for you.
-
It probably has been changed to 269. I see 269 as the official Dutch price now. 42069 is also cheaper than the initial information.

He meant "another big set" not the UCS MF. Please read more carefully, instead of accusing other members.
-
Yup. I have removed it from the list though. If you have cool name for your move, you are welcome to name it. But it's not mandatory. Start your personal topic where you can post whatever you want. When you are done, you make one post in the Entry topic. Usually this is just before the deadline date.

Exactly! Well, I can tell you that these media won't have the news a moment sooner than EB, so keep an eye on our frontpage as well

Technic 2017 Set Discussion
Jim replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This is the topic for 2017 set discussion and the other topic is for the 2018 sets. This topic will remain open, just like previous year's topics. -
The BMW i8 should have been brought earlier. It's definitely a candidate...or should I say....it definitely WAS a candidate. Too late for the i8 imho. Since TLG had/has a great relation with BWM it makes sense for them to do another project, so maybe there's a successor to the i8.

Test Poll with Unedited New Theme
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This was what we concluded, but since the last tests, we know this is not the case. Might still have something to do with the server or the database. I expect the former. Since this is the case I might as well switch back to the Technic theme. -

Technic 2018 Set Discussion
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Prime example is the 42069, where everybody was like "meeehhhhhh" and now it's everyone's favorite. The new rally car looks unfinished, but it will likely be changed here and there. I agree that not every set will change drastically, but we need to be careful by judging prelim images. It's definitely okay to be critical, but I like to maintain a friendly tone of voice instead of bashing TLG or TLG designers. I'd like to think that we can do better than Facebook users This... ...and this! -
Technic 2018 Set Discussion
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I will end this conversation shortly, so say what you have to say. After that we will get back to discussing the sets. Or I will lock the topic until the Toy Fair, but where's the fun in that. One thing that does bother me a bit is that we are discussing prelim images and we have all seen that a prelim design can (and will) be changed before launch. So, I'd rather see these images as teasers instead of a base upon we are discussing the designer's ability to make a decent set. Let's keep that discussion for January This -
Test Poll with Unedited New Theme
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I have looked into the browsing problem and since we have created a new unedited default theme, the Ajax browsing option is turned on again. That's what is causing the browsing problem again. I don't want to change anything at the moment to show Invision that the poll is also broken when using their theme. So bear with me for a couple of days. We will get this nasty bugger -

Interesting. Noted. Thanks. Maybe it's related. -
Technic 2018 Set Discussion
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
What I'm saying is that I think that TLG will be sticking to one blue....dark azure. It only took a while for them to choose the right one. -
Indeed. Let's not start a SD discussion (in the 2017 topic) while we are still waiting for definitive info on the MF.
-
Looking at it in more detail, I think this might very well be the real thing. I am surprised about the riggings, but other than that it looks like a legit build.
-
Exactly this! I have seen this picture earlier this year and the riggings really made me doubt the legitimacy. Seems like a cop out. And what about the new canopy piece? Would it be too far fetched to think this might be a diversion instead of the real thing.

Okay, this gives me hope. So there are people without a working poll?!? (which is good in this case) -
