  1. I know people that buy the set for the set and sell the minifigures on EBay
  2. LEGO Boost was the first thing that came to mind indeed.
  3. I am reading a Batmobile controlled via an App on your phone or tablet. That seems pretty self-explanatory This
  4. To be honest, I don't know. I highly doubt anything that size can be high torque. There's not much room for gearing up or down.
  5. High torque, low speed, because it will likely be used for switches and stuff.
  6. Given the rumored new pneumatic valve, a remake of the classic 8455 is not unthinkable. And after that...you're done
  7. True. EV3 will probably be around for quite some time.
  8. Actually, he said "first Technic set"
  9. Don't do this. There's nothing wrong with having a bit of fun, but please adhere to forum rules. Especially since @Milan already posted a warning.
  10. All the Kingpins in a nice collection...and a speaker! Love the rocks btw.
  11. Okay, than it might indeed be a good parts pack At least you get 50+ frames, which I why I bought it in the first place.
  12. Yup, but 70% of the parts will probably never be used. I'm not discouraging you, just wondering why you want it. I have bought a second copy for the parts, but in hindsight I could have gotten a lot of specific parts for that money. (Not sure how big your collection is though. Of course it's a good parts pack)
  13. Why do you need this set (42055) so badly?
  14. Probably has something to do with some sophisticated cost optimization (production capacity, warehousing, etc). This part is probably not very visible in the sets where it's used (not sure, a guess), so they can easily replace it with a brown version.
  15. They probably made it in brown for another set. When they do that they tend to use it in multiple other sets as well.
  16. Please don't continu after I asked to get back on topic.
  17. Hehe. Okay guys, let's get back on topic.
  18. After all; TLG's motto is "Only the best is good enough" and not "We have done a bit and now you can do the rest" (although I agree it sometimes does feel that way)
  19. I am not much of a modder, but when I do mod, I like to build the original set first so I can experience the build. After that, I will start making a second version with the first one still built, for reference. That's why I always like to have the original set. Of course, when you have the parts, you can still build the original.
  20. I highly doubt TLG brings a product to the market with the purpose of making it better. They bring a product to the market which is good enough for a certain price point and profit margin. They surely don't think that their products are unfinished.
