42083 - Bugatti Chiron
Jim replied to Jurss's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That goes for all stores, like Ascius mentioned. Like I mentioned earlier, everything was supposed to work out differently. Itβs more complicated than this, unfortunately. -

And now maybe :P I hope it will be on my desk when I get back at work. So all the reviews will be online and I still need to start building. -

Letβs just say they were not amused and very disappointed. Especially since the leaks came from an official brand store. -

The people at TLG and Bugatti think otherwise :P (but I understand what you mean. They did a pretty good job, until the end) -

Thanks Milan I have unlocked the topic again. Please refrain from asking for pictures! Other discussions are okay, of course. Carry on! I can assure that itβs not a marketing trick. The plan was to have NO leaks before the 1st of June, and they did a pretty good job. Some unexpected events in planning/logistics occured (canβt tell details) which eventually lead to the leaks from official LEGO stores. Some employees definitely need to go look for another job. -
Technic 2018 Set Discussion

Please donβt use other topics for questions like these. Use PM instead. And I have no further comment. In Billund right now. -
Eurobricks celebrates its 14th event right now in Billund. You may have read here, that beforehand every eventee was asked to take part in a Speed Champions building challenge. All eventees already casted their votes and we decided to let you take part in the voting, too!

Great review! Still on the fence whether to get it or not. I really do like the set, but I won't be using it for display or in a town or something. We'll see. Thanks for the insights though.

Hi, Nice of you to post here. However, we don't allow buying/selling stuff here. It looks like you are advertising, which is frowned upon. I have removed some of your post. Feel free to post other cool creations, but please stick to that. If people are interested, the can use the PM to send you messages.

This is exactly what I was wondering. Images got leaked because the sets have been sent to stores (I think) and reviewers. Arranging the logistics on the 1st of June would have made sense. I have no answer to that. I will try to ask when I am in Billund. I reckon they want to use the momentum to sell the set. That's the only think I can think of. I am still waiting for my copy btw. Which will probably be after I get to Billund -

Absolutely true and I agree. I was really hoping for secrecy till the 1st of June. -

Thanks for understanding! Technically you are allowed to link to images, but if we are the first to link to Reddit or whatever Chinese source, we get blaimed. I know it's not fair, but that's the way the cookie seems to crumble. You were not the first to link btw, so don't worry. You simply followed suit. -

Guys, I have removed the links to the confidential images. As a courtesy to TLG, please refrain from posting the links again. I know the leaks come from other sites, but let's try to help TLG out here. Thanks for your cooperation. -

The old one had a pretty long run, so I don't count on a new version being released any time soon.

Not to bash the Boost set, but if you can get the EV3...do it! Boost is a toy for kids, EV3 is a toy for grown-ups
