Technic 2019 Set Discussion
Jim replied to dimaks13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi, Welcome to EB! Please be careful with speculations. We have a separate topic for that. Although I would love a Claas Jaguar 960 The excavator comment is based on rumors, which tend to be true for the most part. Have fun here. Hope you like it. -

Technic 2019 Set Discussion

That won’t happen this year. Given the fact that TLG likes to minimize the parts used per range of sets. But maybe next year. Most definitely not. I don’t have a friend of a friend. But there have been rumors. I predicted a Bulldozer or Excavator without these rumors and now I’m semi-convinced it will be the Excavator. -

If TLG can use it in multiple sets, they will use it in multiple sets. There is no valid reason not to. There will be a big excavator coming this year. Mark my words -

Do you have the assets visible somewhere? I would love to see them. I know they are in the video, but I would still like to see the assets. I'm a pretty run of the mill beer drinker btw -

I am currently building the 76105 - The Hulkbuster Ultron Edition. You know what.....transparent stickers. Just sayin' -
Changed the first post and topic title. Hope this helps! I have been going through some of the topics and I am very impressed by some of the MOCs. And I love the fact that lots of people are actually building planes and helicopters

Wow, those graphics look really cool! I love how simple, yet elegant, they look. -
You can do whatever you want in your discussion (wip) topic, as long as you present a single model in your entry post

I have been thinking about this and it might have something to do with this set (probably) being produced in China. Different warehouse. Different inventory. Totally not sure, but it could explain why so many parts could be printed for this set. To clarify; every printed parts is a new element, which takes up warehouse space. And space is limited, even for TLG.

I think your design is sexy as ...[insert curse word]. Combining the panels at the bottom with System bricks on top, excellent!- 44 replies

Hehe. I indeed created a mysterious user called "Eurobricks". It didn't feel right to make automated posts with a regular user. Unfortunately, I can't see who featured the post. At least not by using the Api. Otherwise I could have used that user.
-
You might have noticed, but we have been working on a frontpage tool, using the forum’s Api. The tool makes it easier to frontpage featured topics. The frontpage is more active now. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction. I am planning on doing more cool stuff with the Api.

Eurobricks event #15 Günzburg - information topic
Jim replied to Holodoc's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
@Kitty and myself will be back from a four week holiday halfway May and days off are rather limited nowadays. So, I’m afraid we need to pass entirely. We are definitely aiming for Billu d 2020 though. -
Oct-Nov sounds like a plan. Voting first and second week of Dec and winners will receive their prize before Christmas. But I am planning to do more contests this year

[PRESS RELEASE] 70840 - Welcome to Apocalypseburg!
Jim replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Special LEGO Themes
+1 In a strange way I am happy I am not doing the review. Now I can simply relax and enjoy the build. I feel sorry for you @Ecclesiastes -
If I am not mistaken some people actually requested a contest at the end of the year, because they would have more time to build. But I definitely understand December is a busy month. So, either we make the period longer (which I am not sure about, since the contest will lose focus) or we indeed avoid these periods. Consider the two-week extension done btw

If you all agree I am fine with adding two weeks to the contest.

Usually, I am not against moving the contest back a bit, but we still have three and a half weeks. Isn't that enough?!
