  1. It is an interesting thought, but I am not sure that it is as easily quantifiable as you say. People need to make their own measurements. Not everyone has a scale to weigh stuff, for example. And it leaves a lot of room for error....or even foul play.
  2. Non-vehicle has been discussed before. I would not limit it beyond that (pre-1900 or something). It will be hard enough as it is. Not sure this kind of contest will generate enough interest though.
  3. Hi. If you want help, it's best to add some pictures to properly show us what the problem is. It's hard to understand without pics.
  4. Yup, more or less. Here's the topic for Nathanaels version. More pics. Another thought for the contest. SCIFI contest. Build a spaceship, mech, robot, whatever remotely SciFi related.
  5. That is what I was referring to. My focus would be a MODULAR car though. And it would NOT be a contest, but a joined project. Maybe it's better to start a new contest and see if we can do the modular project on the side.
  6. Yup. The smaller sets will not be that small. Medium at least. Yeah, it's interesting. Especially since there are quite a few new devices in the latest and recent line-up
  7. The motor is quite bulky, but at least it has enough connection points.
  8. Jumping to conclusions. I haven't even decided
  9. Well, I don't think it will be a contest per se. Maybe simply a collaboration project. We can do a contest for the bodywork, once we finished the rest of the car. I need to think how this can be realized, but you recently did a collab build. Maybe we can learn from that experience. And with the car being modular, the idea is that a certain chassis can fit different kind of suspensions. So we could use the chassis to create a sports car, but also a 4x4. This is similar to what Nathanael has done.
  10. We could obviously do another contest, but I would like to do something different this time.
  11. Well, yes. Of course. Always. But I have been thinking about a "collaboration-ish" kinda project. But I still need to work that idea out. I does involve cars though. Long story short... We (probably) all know the modular car concepts of Nathanael, Crowkillers and Sheepo (if I am not mistaken). I was thinking about making our very first "Eurobricks Modular Car Concept". Different elements need to be designed: Chassis Front-Suspension Rear-Suspension Gearbox Engine Upholstry/Interior Bodywork Building Instructions (!) When we complete the chassis and functional parts, we can do a contest to design the bodywork. The goal is to build our first (as far as I know) complete Eurobricks Car. Instructions will be free and it needs to be branden "Eurobricks". This way we can promote EB a bit in the process. Just spitting it out here. Was planning on making a dedicated topic. I know we had a collab build lately, but I am willing to manage and promote it. Totally not sure whether it's feasible, but I love modular stuff
  12. Since this is about the technical part of the MOC, let's keep it here.
  13. I also appreciate your enthusiasm, but we already have several topics about the Chiron. Let's focus the discussion in one of the other topics. The mods and improvements might be a good one. I will lock this one now. Thanks.
  14. It is a dangerous function Usually I’m just a few clicks away btw
  15. They are indeed happening, but with a limited number of fan media. Eurobricks is not attending at all.
  16. Nope, unfortunately not. I am not attending this year, due to my holiday. Hopefully next year, although attendance is limited, so I am not guaranteed a spot.
  17. Yeah, possibly. @nerdsforprez don’t get me wrong btw. Looking forward to more info as well
  18. Well, we have seen blurry pics, right? We have even seen clear pics of the Liebherr.
  19. By now you should probably know that there is no telling when official pics will appear. They will appear when they appear. And TLG recent policy is “as late as possible”
  20. The tracked racer was/is way too expensive though (imho). But apparently it’s the new standard for RC models.
