Some really great works here and in the end it came down 2 for me. LuxorV's Banner 3 and Rufus's both really caught my eye with a nice mix of set's and minifigs. Finally I voted for Rufus' Banner because I liked the minifigs used better.

I got round to finishing one of the standard squadron Y-wing's today. let me know what you think as I might try to make the red stripe a little thinner. All three.

The second picture is a grab from the great "Landing at Point Rain" season 2 episode. The CW Y-wing colours can get a bit confusing, so here goes. I my first post you have the Flight Group leader (first picture) and then the normal colors of the rest of the squadron second picture. For the Yellow Y-wing we have Anakins Group leader colours and then reversed again for his squadron. These pictures might help explain. Well I missed that! Very nice work ADHO15! Well I have had a go and a clone gunner fits on the bubble just fine but the pilot does need seeing to. Back to BL I go.

Well it kind of is and kind of is'nt. There are so many parts that you can't get in the dark red it made for some interesting changes but I think it turned out ok. The worst part is the lack of a dark red 12x3 wedge plate for the rest of the squadron. I had not even tried a clone in it . Looks like a few more part orders are neaded.

Well as some of you may know I have been buying up parts for a Clone Wars Y-wing project. The aim is to make one of the Y-wings in group leader colours like the Anakin Y-wing we already have. Something like this. Then 4 more in normal colours again something like this. I have made about 14 large parts orders and bought 2 ship only of Anakin's Y-wing to get me started. 3500+ parts is a bit of a eye opener. While looking for pictures I found a someone has already given the Group leader ship a go. Very nice fleet picture what! You may want to resize them a little smaller though. I don't think I have ever seen a picture with 3 of the minifig Star Destroyers before. My 2 are still in the box!

Some very nice armies here over the last few days! Really like the tusken army and I am pretty sure that is not photo edited. Nice Rebel army JCC! It is true we don't see enough of them.

The mini Venator set is turning up in UK but I can't find out where . A UK seller on BL and one on ebay is selling them for large prices. buy it now, ebay

Thanks for the great review! This is a great mini and really has the vulture droid captured perfectly! I can't wait to get my hands on one or two. Oh, the shame KimT. How can you call yourself a Star Wars Lego fan now!

For me the standard for UCS sets was laid down with the first sets we got. Highly detailed, with functions that the real ship or whatever had. The real defining point for me is no play features! Even UCS sets with minifigs only have moving guns and cockpits for the realisum of the set. That is why I don't consider the latest Tantive IV and AT-OT/Dropship sets UCS.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes guys! I had a bit of a early party this weekend with all my family and am going out for a meal in one of my favourite local restaurants tonight. I have done extremely well on the lego front this year!! Best lego birthday ever!

Great review Rufus and some really great pictures! As for the set, I am going to completely agree with prateek here. I own all three minifig AT-ATs and this is by far the worst. As brickdoctor said the dimensions are just all wrong! For me then only way this set justifies itself is if you are a completest collector (like me ) or you missed the first one. Even then I would recommend trying to get the 4483 one first, you won't be dissapointed!

Well I have come to the decision that I am not really interested in keeping my collectable minifigs. I am starting to realize that for me it has to be Star Wars lego or nothing else. This might change one day if the Star wars line ever ends but for now It's out with non SW stuff. :) Edit: What is now left. So I have 1 full set of series 1 figs can be seen below in this pic. All the figs are in a like new condition and come with their bags they came in and extra items they came with. I would like to keep the full set together, as it means less posting for me to do. For a full set of series 1 minifigs would be £38 + £4 P&P worldwide £3.00 UK. I also have these extra figs from series 1 and 2 for sale. £2.50 a fig but £3.50 for the zombies. Paypal only outside UK. Again the figs are in a like new condition and come with their bags they came in and extra items they came with.

WOW! What a stunning MOC! You guys are really pushing the envelope this time. I can't wait to see how this beauty turns out when finished but I can already tell it is going to be amazing! I take it you are going to display it at some up coming show?
