Hi All, I don't frequent the star wars thread much. But just wanted to know if anyone knows what's going on with the Ahsoka and 501st battle packs in Australia? Target and Kmart seem to have all the new sets listed except for these two. Anyone know if they are delayed or something? Still find it a bit weird that Kmart never got any of the new Jurassic World sets ever, so things have been a bit weird here! :-/

The more I look at the twins, the more I hate them. They look like dopey 4 year olds who can't put their beanie on properly and have pulled them half way down their face. For two of the coolest characters in the movies, they have absolutely ruined them! I was hoping the faces would be decent so I could make quidditch versions of them. But the faces are the worst part!

Seen a few mentions about saving people for series 3, and all I can think about is how excruciating it has been waiting for this reveal and can't bear the thought of a 2-3 year wait for some of these characters we got our hopes up for! :-/

Do you have any particularly good ideas you would use the duplicates for? Wondering if you have any good ideas i might borrow? :-D

Still can't believe what boring choices for CMF figures! :-/ I would have ranked these some of the worst even if they came in sets (personal opinion). :-/

I was thinking the exact same thing which perfectly answered my question from the other day. And its 100% second task fred and george. They are wearing dark brown/black jackets when they give harry the map.

I don't disagree with you. Just still don't find them very exciting. But thats just me. Ron and Hermione are the most AWFUL waste of space in this series. Polyjuice would have been 100 times better.

I'm going to say it... Our predictions were much, much better! The newly revealed figures are fine! But not exciting! They seem more like regular set figures than CMF material. Also, how come nobody on this planet seems to know how to take decent photos???

Mine is easy to remember. It is the first time I spent more than $40 on a LEGO set. My wife and I were going on a date night out bowling. But we got to the bowling place and it turned out it was a league night and we weren't allowed to play. So we went to BigW and found the 2010 LEGO Hogwarts set on clearance for $120 (not the greatest discount). So we decided instead for our date night we would buy the Hogwarts set and build it together! :-D Pretty sure the next day we went and bought the night bus and forbidden forest! :-D

Thanks for sharing everyone. Really interesting seeing what everyone is into. We all have the same interest in Harry Potter and it's interesting how diverse a lot of people interests are from each others! :-) I was actually really lucky I got the old avengers tower for about $20 Australian Dollars a few months ago and then the Sanctum Sanctorum just 2-3 weeks ago for $60. :-D

I'm very movie based with my LEGO. Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Jurassic World etc, with a little dabbling in super heroes (trying to quit) and star wars (way too many sets). Just curious what sort of mixes other people are into?

I did forget Dean. Had him on my excel list when I was comparing and forgot to move him over. :-) So yes, there's one more! :-D I'm hoping Pomfrey, Lockhart and Rita too!!! I really want a better version of tonks too. But I would much rather characters we don't have if I had to choose between the two.

You've already put more thought into it than I did! Rofl. One interesting thing to note though looking at the past CMF is that the Harry Potter that did not form a part of the trio set was the one on the packet Whilst all 3 matching (year 3 I think they were) ones were not shown on the packet. I still wonder whether there is some substance behind the idea of the polyjuice potion trio making up 3 of the remaining 7. The previous CMF series also had 2 figures both of which had dual heads and alternate hair for different characters which could also be another hint at that happening. Although this is kind of two aspects of the previous series blended together. Personally if we have to have a trio. I would prefer this as it means we get two extra characters we don't have whilst also ticking off the required trio. Sorry, just did a quick comparison between the two CMF packets and they actually seem to be very closely mimicking each other: Invisible Harry - HBP Harry (Unique Harry's) Dumbledore - Dumbledore (Dumbledore Variant) Voldemort - Bellatrix (Villains) Trelawney - Sprout (New Hairpiece Teacher) Cho Chang - Moaning Myrtle (Ravenclaw Student) Mad Eye - Shacklebot (Order Members) Neville - Neville (Neville Variants) Luna - Luna (Luna Variants) Dobby - Griphook (Short Big Ears :-D) Hermione - Hermione??? Well here is a new case study for you @Lego-Freak. Do past CMF packets present the best of the series on the front of the packet or are the best normally kept hidden? :-D See if you can develop a new model to determine whether we've seen the best or whether the best is yet to come! :-D

That's terrible news. I was dying inside last night worrying it wasn't going to be released until the end of August. Now it's worse! :'(

Just thought i'd ask on here as it's related to a harry potter set and not sure where else to ask. But i'm trying to restore all the parts for the 2nd or 3rd edition of the Hogwarts express and just noticing especially with 1x4, 1x6, 1x8 and 1x10 bricks that there are some with hollow tubes underneath and some with solid tubes (obviously different generations of LEGO). My question is, do you consider a set to be "complete" if it has different variations of the same piece? Just come to the realisation this is probably the case with dozens of sets I put together from a bulk lot a couple of years back, but never noticed.

For those who don't do any major moc's to the sets like myself. What do you do with the small builds from the advent calendar? Have you found any particularly useful places within the current framework or the sets to add the advent calendar items? Do you just scatter them around your sets? Or take them apart and put them in the bag? Particularly interested if anyone has any particularly good ideas of where to add them to the sets. I'd love to find a better use for some of the builds. But i've never liked things that aren't "attached" to my builds.
